Ras 74 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Heard a rumor that the Hoth and Endor might be out in late May or early June. Anyone else heard this? -Ras- Quote
Commander_Rob Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Now that seems interesting. If I am getting this right, there is talking of a big, special, secret set for this year AND something special for the 30th anniversary of ESB. Sounds promising. Quote
Seijitai Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Heard a rumor that the Hoth and Endor might be out in late May or early June.Anyone else heard this? -Ras- Hi, first post on this wonderful site ! It's true... well, almost... Several set are supposed to be available soon in Japan : Hoth, Endor, Venator and "Y Wing". But it seems that some shipments never left Europe, as I ordered a 8038 Battle of Endor just yesterday from my local "Japan import shop" and it is scheduled for arrival already next week... More news when I'll have it in hands Quote
pedro Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I think it's most likely to be a minifig scale Rebel Blockade Runner. If you look at the special treatment the original trilogy is getting this year - and to this extent has been a long time coming - it seems to me that releasing the Tantive IV would expand on that. It's one of the most iconic ships from the Star Wars universe and I think LEGO will want to capitalise on that and make September's release something really special. I think that potential sets based around the Arrest of Palpatine or any pre-trilogy scenes lack the clout of a ship like the Tantive IV; and although Cloud City would be awesome (despite the fact I already own the original) I think they'll save that for Empire's anniversary. Asides from that the set has almost built itself! We've got a rough basis for how it might look with the Republic Cruiser and we already have the majority of figures present with the exception of Captain Antilles - and wouldn't he be cool?! Whatever it is, we'll find out come September - maybe before - and it'll probably rock whatever it is! Quote
Lord Santos Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Why did you brought up the CTT for, I am portuguese and may see that as... well, an insult, be more carefull next time, sorry for this ADHO15. I'm looking forward for these sets in my living room!... Quote
Tinn-man Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Super Star Destroyer It makes perfect sense: It's first appearance was in The Empire Strikes Back. It is virtually the only ship that lego has not made in either minifig scale or UCS. It is DARTH VADER's flagship. I mean, what is more iconic than Darth Vader? If LEGO really wants to go the extra mile, then I say that it will open up and reveal the command bridge scene, with a few imperial officers and a whole line of bounty hunters. Who knows, they might even through in a chrome vader for free . But I dream.....(but it is a super star destroyer ) Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 A let down just like the special poster the US got. Quote

KimT Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 What about the Portugese Postal Service? Touché Why did you brought up the CTT for, I am portuguese and may see that as... well, an insult, be more carefull next time, sorry for this ADHO15. I'm looking forward for these sets in my living room!... Whoa easy there. He was merely shooting at me for using CTT as an abbreviation of Clone Turbo Tank. Especially since I previously did the same to someone using RBR as an abbreviation for the Rebel Blockade Runner. Nothing personal, CTT just fitted the Portuguese Postal Company. No offense meant, it was all just a little joke. Remember there's always eBay and Bricklink for those of us who can't order Brickmaster magazines. Also please refrain from discussing the availability of the upcoming sets. There's so many different release dates around the world, that it would consume this topic if we were to discuss them all here. Which is why there actually is a topic for discussing just that. Check the Star Wars Forum Index to find the specific topic. Thanks and "Stay On Target!" Quote
Seijitai Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 We know that Hoth and Endor will be available soon but not sure about Venator and Y-wing. Is there any link to Venator and Y-wing? Nope, the only thing that I can say is that I could have also ordered these... So I can only guess... As I had to "pre-pay" the order, I only took one "Battle of Endor"... I'll see in a week if I receive it, as the seller promised... Now I won't talk of it anymore, I'm not going to disobey KimT on my first day here ! Quote

I'm looking forward for these sets in my living room!... Ahh, lighten up a bit! A lot of people here call me a stupid American! Including myself... Back on topic, seeing as the door to the side of the Venator mini is SNOT unlike the rest of the ship, I (don't really, filled with too much doubt) wonder if the door closes? Maybe a push function? Legoman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Ahh, lighten up a bit! A lot of people here call me a stupid American! Including myself... That made me laugh! The new BM set looks alright. Now amazing though. Just another set to add to the list... I always pay too much for these BM sets... I sooo wish i could get BM here... Oh well, that aint gona change... so... I'm looking forward to reviews of new sets Quote
CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Gon on Brickset to view a new pic (or at least I think it is) of the Tank Droid. It has a fantastic view of the Clone Jettroopers, the boxart and the Tank itself. EDIT: I just thought of something: The dust on Geonoisis was filtered out of the air of the Solar Sailor, and when Darth Sidious cleaned it out he breathed it in and he had an allergic reaction so bad that his face shrivelled up permanently. (That's why the sith lightning had such a bad effect on him in ep 3) Edited May 6, 2009 by CloneCommanderDelta7 Quote

CloneCommanderDelta7 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Who said there would be one... But if there was it could be multiple sets or one big set. The Executor could be one, or cloud city. Or the Geonosian Arena. Or the Geonosian factory. Or a combination of the two like the Death Star. A SPHA-T with a couple of new minifigures would be great, especially if it had a great interior (engine room, cockpit, weapons room, troop bay and communications room) and great new characters such as Aayla Secura (ep 2 version) and Bly with Clone Medics! SWMAN Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I am hoping that it is a RBR and not Cloud City. If you guys look at the article, he hints that a ESB set will be released in 2010, not 2009. Quote
Steff Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Hi, a cloud -city-set will be cool... but is it BIG enough for a 400 €/$ -Set??? PT I think of a jedi-temple with the same concept like the death star. A BIG set, where we can "play" all temple-scenes from episode I- III/Clone Wars. With jedi masters, maybe an amidala-minifig, Clonetrooper, Corusant-air-taxi, young and old Anni, Obiwan, OT My opinions: UCS AT-AT wit Ewok-Village Cloudcity with Slave I BIg Mos Eisley-Cantina with landspeeder und dewback Minifig- Tantive iV Quote
LEGOscum Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I'm confused: We know there is a set coming out in September We don't know what it is because it's a mystery We have a thread on this topic already As far as I can see this thread and the old Mystery 2009 thread are discussing the same thing, and all the posts in this thread are saying exactly the same as the original replies in the first discussion. So why do we need two? Or are you suggesting that we discuss the possibility that the mystery Q3 set is not in fact the same as the BIG secret set you are proposing? If this is the case then I'll throw in my 2cents: the mystery Q3 set IS the BIG secret set for 2009. But then I've got an inside edge. If you guys look at the article, he hints that a ESB set will be released in 2010, not 2009. Actually I (because if you haven't already heard, I wrote the article) don't hint at that. I just state that 2010 is the 30th anniversary of TESB. Don't take any meaning into the last sentance of the article, I just added it to tease you all because I am evil Edited May 6, 2009 by LEGOscum Quote

KimT Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 For all german LEGO Star Wars fans: 7754 will be avaible at the beginning of july at TRU (Germany) You just don't get it, do you? This topic is for rumors and pictures, not for availability. I've even posted in the "Star Wars sets anyone?"-topic, just to bump it so that you can discusss such matters there. This is the last time I'll say this: "Stay On Target!" Post info on availability in the proper topic which can be found by looking in the Star Wars Forum Index or by reading the topic name a few lines up. Next one to step out of line will be disintegrated... Also please refrain from discussing the availability of the upcoming sets. There's so many different release dates around the world, that it would consume this topic if we were to discuss them all here. Which is why there actually is a topic for discussing just that. Check the Star Wars Forum Index to find the specific topic. Thanks and "Stay On Target!" See? This wasn't even posted long ago. All you had to do was read. This is nothing personal Steff, I'm just fed up with posts on availability in this topic. I am not trying to assault you, ok? Quote
Steff Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 oh god..drama.. i will stay on target..and will never post news again.. Quote
ADHO15 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) oh god..drama.. i will stay on target..and will never post news again.. Alright, but don't take that tone. KimT is just trying to establish the rules and keep this thread on-topic. He's not telling you to stop posting at all. Also, your grammar is quite poor. Please use capital letters and correct punctuation. Just keep the discussion in the right place and don't have such a bad attitude when a moderator tells you what to do, otherwise, you're going the right way for a visit to the Chamber. Sorry for the off-topic post (not that I can remember what is on topic anymore ). Edited May 6, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
