Klaus-Dieter Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 It's great that we now finally get the RBR! But since I never got the UCS RBR, I will welcome this set with open arms and embrace it as a child!!Thinking of mini-figs though. Leia, Vader, Stormies, Rebel troopers and some droids is obvious. Would be so great to really get new mini-figs though. But it nessesary dont have to be from Ep. IV. It can be Ep. III or Clone Wars as well. Then there is another range. Ep. III can for instance be Bail Organa, Padme, Obi and what else. Since the UCS version was the traditional, this might be Bails "Blue" one. -Ras- Like RoflWafl I highly doubt (and even hope not) that it'll be epsisode 3 style, Ras. It is graet that the other exclusive set is OT and not CW related but I must admit I am in a "like it/not like it" way with the fact it is going to be the Rebel Blockade Runner . From ship terms I am extremely excited cause I always wanted a RBR but couldn´t get it when it was out . But minifig-wise, I think this isn´t going to be great . Just think about it, the only possible new minifig I could imagine from this set is Capt. Antilles and he isn´t so spectacular at all (A Rebel Trooper with orange shirt ) and that somehow left me undecided . I will buy it for sure but in minifig-terms I don´t think we will get such a big deal . Why should it be that bad when it is in minifig-scale, darkrebellion?! I could well imagine that TLG simply took the UCS version, let out some exterior details but include some interior, an escape pod and some minifigs. I persoanlly really like it to be minifig-scaled and with minifigs (and hopefully even some great interior) included since UCS sets don't interest me. As for the minifigs I don't think that we'll see a Vader and some Stormies since the price (which is less than the AT-OT set) tells us that there supposably won't be many minifigs. Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, a Rebel Trooper and Captain Antilles have to be included - that's clear. But will there be some more minifigs? Perhaps Lieutenant Pello Scrambas and/or the silvern protocol droid? - That would be awesome! When you look at its price it's less than the AT-OT set - supposably 200 Euros. So I hope it nevertheless won't be too small and that it will include some great interior and at least two new minifigs. Well, I think that TLG will reveal it at BrickFair (like last year the 10188 DS), don't you think? Klaus-Dieter Quote
DarthSion Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Oh minifigure scale, i thought he meant mini, would be cool, but theres already enough OT stuff this year. Quote
mutley777 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 but theres already enough OT stuff this year. Now there is a sentence i thought i would never see! Quote
ADHO15 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Does anyone think it will be like a larger Republic Cruiser? That ship was mostly framework and there wasn't much interior space. If this Tantive IV is like that, we may not be seeing that many figs, as there won't be much space to put them in. Possible figs are, in my opinion: Darth Vader, Leia Organa, Raymus Antilles, C-3PO, R2-D2, Rebel Trooper, Stormtrooper, Imperial Officer, Rebel Pilot (someone to fly it, not orange suit), black astromech droid, etc. Quote

If this Tantive IV is like that, we may not be seeing that many figs, as there won't be much space to put them in. I am not sure, ADHO15. It may be very similar the old UCS version but with interior and minfigs - against which the price speaks since it won't be as expensive as 10195 (I think it might be about 200 Euros). It may even be a downscaled version with only very few interior and only the most important minifigs (Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, Antilles and a Rebel Trooper) - which would imo firstly be too less for the supposable price of around 200 Euros and secondly it would be quite disappointing. But before we haven't seen pics that stays a mystery. But since TLG will reveal the merry-go-round set already tomorrow I think and hope that they'll reveal the RBR at BrickFair - so still six weeks to wait. Klaus-Dieter Quote
DarthSion Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Now there is a sentence i thought i would never see! because most of the OT stuff is lame, its not as cool as the stuff in the clone wars, and even better stuff in the EU. Quote
-JD- Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Probably smaller than the UCS version, but big enough to have corridors and rooms with loads of figures. It would be good if it included new droids, cause I need more protocols. Quote
Bricks Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I found some high-imagines (hope most of them are new): Regards 'Bricks' Quote
-JD- Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Wow! They all look so perfect! Excpet that Y-Wing ofcourse! I just noticed we get a little box with the Hoth set! They look amazing. Thanks for those brilliant pics Bricks! Quote
Skipper 24 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Thanksfor the pics Bricks! The box artwork looks really great . Quote

KimT Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 From what I've heard, the 10198 Rebel Blockade Runner (Tantive IV) will be priced around 250 USD, which puts it in the same size range as the 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT. If the rumors of such a set is true, that is. And yes Ras, I've got a 10195 a few weeks ago... for free (had to return it after reviewing it though) Quote
Legoman Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Yeah, I also was told $250USD. Thats $100 more than the UCS... I'm expecting somthing amazing. It's good that they're releasing a RBR this year.... I was really wanting one. This will hopefully drive down the price of the UCS too (still haven't got that one) I'm expecting the outside to be around the same - mabye a little bigger than the UCS, and include... 3 Rebels, Capt. Antillies, Leia, Vader, 3 Stormies, 1 Imperial officer, C-3PO, R2-D2 And silver Proticol droid. That's 13... I think thats around right considering the price/set. And i'm curtian it will be Ep:4 Quote
KimT Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 Agreed, episode IV it must be - it's a classic. CW I doubt the high amount of minifigs. We'll see no more than 8, which is the same amount as the 10195, isn't it? I can't wait for this set to become true Agreed, episode IV it must be - it's a classic. Legoman Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I must say i'm a little dissapointed with the ewoks. I prefer the originals to be honest. I'm glad i collected up the originals... I've got a good few now. But those other figs are all Amazing, and the set is beautiful! Quote
ILikePi Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 (edited) The Endor set has 9 bags? All of the stuff in the bags seem like small pieces... Oh well, the minifigs make up for it! EDIT: Fixed a typo... Edited May 9, 2009 by ILikePi Quote

The Who Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I'm impressed with these new minifigs so far, and especially those Endor Troopers. (Rebels, that is) Not exactly on topic, but they look like they would make good American soldiers for WWII. Almost like a two in one deal... Quote
JimBee Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 http://www.bricklink.com/ML/sw240.jpg http://www.bricklink.com/ML/sw239.jpg I just love that new face (with the beard, and it's nice to see the Starkiller face again, as I never got the Rouge Shadow. The design seems... unfinished (the hoods in particular), but who am I to complain about this set? The Endor set has 9 bags? All of the stuff in the bag seem look like small pieces... Oh well, the minifigs make up for it! I'm sure that it will be much more impressive when built. Quote
KimT Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Wow! Thanks for finding those pics for us Mutley The rebels are awsesome... I am not a ewok-man, so I really have no opinion on them. Can't wait to get my hands on this set Quote
