Millacol88 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Excuse me? I thought that was kind of odd when I first saw that too. Perhaps you have an imitator? Quote

Natman8000 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Fine then. Next year, what do you think LEGO will actually realease for the sets? I think they might redo some Ep III sets, but thats just me hoping. Quote
Millacol88 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Sorry Kim. Inner spammer has been locked up and won't be out for some time. Natman, although I would really like some new ep.3 sets, I think it makes more sense for TLC as a company to release sets based on the newest properties. We're more likely to see more CW as well as some sets from the new live-action series, as well as some new OT sets (hopefully) to appease long-time collectors and AFOLs. EDIT: KimT, who is that guy in the picture you posted? Quote

I agree. I think TLG has had it's fill of ROTS and wants to keep up with what's new and popular, eg. The Clone Wars. They should keep producing OT sets to please the many people who don't like the Clone Wars (not me ), but Episode 3 is so similar the The Clone Wars, time and set-wise, that it doesn't make sense for them to switch back to the old fig designs. Maybe, like in the old Clone Wars series, the new series will get nearer the end of the war, and change to Phase 2 clones, Episode 3 vehicles, etc. Who knows? Quote
Sir von Lego Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Hi, I will try to do a review of the sets soon... The R2D" definetely ISN'T the same as you can buy it in 8038 or 10188. It has a different printing as I said before (Clone Wars printing)!! greetings Hendrik Quote
-JD- Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 EDIT: KimT, who is that guy in the picture you posted? You don't know about RoboCop? Shame on you! I think the new sets will be based on the five CW series if the lisence continues, and some on this new live action series. I hope we will see more OT sets too. Greetings, JD Quote
YG-49 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Excuse me? Couldn't pass up the opportunity So, the Senate Comm. head is a clone head? See, all that hype for nothin'! Goodbye... *The disappointed (Isn't that a movie?)* Quote

Goodbye... *The disappointed (Isn't that a movie?)* Whatever. I wish it was a blank fleshie head underneath, I think that would have been better that a clone one. They arent even clones! Quote
YG-49 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 It'd be funny if they came with alternate hair (Elsa hair would do the job ) Another add-on to this would be CW Luminara Unduli Quote
Sir von Lego Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 What I recognized is that both boxes, the one from 8038 Battle of Endor and the one from 7749 Echo Base DON'T have the "exclusive anniversary edition" at the front... (Will try to take some more pictures from the new sets today...) Quote
RileyC Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (Will try to take some more pictures from the new sets today...) PLEASE! Quote
Seijitai Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) French Amazon site lists all the new sets as "out of stocks", other sites like Emoviezone lists them too as "soon", and a friend of mine spotted them in a HK toys store... Too many different sources IMO, so I really think that we are about to get those six sets released at the beginning of june, at least in Europe... I've mailed the customer service about that, will post their answer if they confirm... Edited May 19, 2009 by Seijitai Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 On imperiumdersteine.de is a member who reports that he saw Snail tank, Echo Base, Y-Wing, Endor and Venator in Toys´r´us Duisburg Mercator Center (Germany) and another member says that his TRU in Viernheim (Germany) has the Venator. Well, that's right. But better a bleary-eyed Tauntaun than die in the polar waste of Hoth! Still more than 4,5 weeks until we'll supposably get pics of the 10198 Tantive 4. Klaus-Dieter Quote
-JD- Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) The eyes on the Taun Taun are a nice touch. Thanks for sharing. The new goggles seem to look nicer every picture I see. It's a shame the Commandos have clone faces. Greetings, JD Edited May 19, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
Natman8000 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Great, that line down the middle of the taun taun is gone. It looks pretty good now. Quote
YG-49 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) LOL in the Tank picture it looks like the Taun-Taun's going to come up and chase it! Goodbye... *The amused* Hail Trashcat!! Edited May 19, 2009 by YG-49 Quote
ILikePi Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Thanks for showing us those pictures. The Tauntaun has made a huge improvement from the 2009 Toy Fair one. I also like the goggles on the Hoth rebels, and printed disc on the Snail Tank looks great. Quote
