Darth Legolas Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I'll bet you (no cash) that there isn't going to be any Phase II troopers in that box. Unless the Clone Wars show takes a turn like the old one and they begin to introduce the Phase II troopers, it's not happening. I'm going to assume that TLG is going to continue the same line as this year. Half OT and half Clone Wars. There's no point in bringing back anything from episode one, two or three. Quote

I think that the big Phase II clone is a pretty decent hint that it will include some Phase II clones. The second season of the Clone Wars might start to move into Phase II clones, at least by the end of it, so perhaps Lego is giving us a few new animated Phase II clones this year at Comic-Con to peak out interest. Why then, the giant Clones on the new Millenium Falcon box? The Darth Vader helmet on the Droids and Clones Battlepacks box? People always get Star Wars symbols mixed up, they think they're all the same. Quote

Natman8000 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 He was talking about the comic con box I think. I think he knows that, and he brings a good point. The fact that we haven't seen the EpIII clones in a while could mean a return, or it could mean nothing. A symbol is a symbol. We can't be sure until we open it. My bet is that it is a little battle pack of some sort, like the indy one from last year. Quote
-JD- Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 That box looks very interesting. I am hoping it will have Phase II clones, but I think I won't excite myself too much. The pictures should be out soon I expect, so I can wait. Greetings, JD Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 The San Diego Comic Con is in a few weeks, so we will find out then. Quote
SWMAN Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) So was I! The symbols you are talking about appear in the top right because they show what sub-theme the sets are in. Clone Wars sets have the Phase I helmet because they are in the Clone Wars sub-theme. The big clone helmet has never been seen before on any other set, so I think that it is a fair bet that this set will be different than what we have seen in a while. 1000 Posts. Yeah!!! Natman8000 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 So if what SWMAN is saying is correct, do you think that there will be more EPIII clones in later sets? Perhaps even a new helmet mold? Quote
Engene Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Just for fun, I've searched Brickset for 2829 set - I had lots of fun. And in real, are these numbers the days of Comic Con? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 So if what SWMAN is saying is correct, do you think that there will be more EPIII clones in later sets? Perhaps even a new helmet mold? I'm sure that if the license still exists when the clones get their Phase II armor in the series then LEGO will make new Phase II clones. And I'm sure that the clones will get their Phase II armor at some point in the series, when is the only question. Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I remember reading on Wookieepedia a while back that Phase II Armour will be in the series, so I think that we have a pretty good chance of seeing some more Phase II Clones in the future. Quote
-JD- Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Well if the seasons continue to over five, we will probably see the Phase II clone armour in the third or fourth season. Think about it, Ani has long hair, Obi has short hair, and the war is getting more intense. This may also mean a lisence re-new, because if there is one series p/a then it will go on to beyond 2011, which is when the lisence may end. I am excited as to think what the new molds will look like (if any). It will probably be the same torso design and a new helmet that fits over the pauldrons. Greetings, JD Quote
CaptainRex110 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) I love the CW clones right now, but I wouldn't mind seeing Phase II ones again. But I agree with whoever said this a while ago, but the Phase II is probably more iconic than the other. That doesn't mean that there will be any in that box, but also, maybe TLG is just trying to get rid of the last of them that they have left over from the battle packs... Oh well, I'll wait and see where this all goes. SDCC really is only a few week away now... When I go, I'll take pictures and try to upload them on preview night. I definitely hope so. I think that Phase II clones will eventually be introduced into the Clone Wars series. If/when this happens, I have a feeling a more animated helmet design will be introduced. YG-49 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I hereby promote myself to honorary FAILman of the LEGO Star Wars Forum. (From S@H) the first-ever LEGO minifigures of Admiral Ackbar, Rebel leader Mon Mothma, General Lando Calrissian, General Madine, a Mon Calamari officer and a Green Squadron A-wing pilot.FAIL! Quote
RileyC Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) the midi scale millennium falcon, home one and pirate tank are now up on the NZ shop@home site. It says that the midi scale is special edition. so maybe there is only going to be the millennium falcon midi scaled and its located in the clone wars section. Could that be a mix up? Takanuva-nui Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 FAIL! I don't see how this is a fail, but maybe its just me. Lando is a General by Episode VI, and technically this is a new version of Lando, and the only "General-version" of him we have received. The version in the Cloud City set was not a General, and therefore different. On another note, when I first saw the images of the Home One set, I was rather disappointed, but now that its on S&H, it looks rather nice, especially on that box art T-Nui Quote

Using the zoom function on S@H really does bring out some of the very nice features on the Home One, it is starting to give me the feel of being a must-buy. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 My new issue of Brickmaster club thingy came, it says theres going to be another starwars set at the comic-con, I wonder what it is? Please look 2 posts up before posting. Quote

Hey... wait a second... isn't this box just a place holder image anyway? That is true. But we have never seen a set with a Phase II clone helmet as the symbol, which means that this set is probably going to be different than anything recent, which could mean that it includes Phase II clones. We are all just speculating here. No one knows for sure. Quote
