To bring up a new subject, we've all been hearing talk about an Endor battle pack, but that could only be proven with something to counteract it from the Imperial side. Maybe a Scout Trooper battle pack, with four Scout Troopers and one speeder bike!

That would simply be lovely. Endor rebels and some fake ship Lego created for the battle pack VS. Scout Troopers and a Speeder Bike!

Or does this belong as a 2010 rumor? Well, seeing as it would be part of the December 2009 collection, I think not!

Where have you heard this rumour? I know it's been discussed in the 'Future Star Wars sets' and 'Future Battlepacks' topics. Maybe this belongs there if they're not really rumours, just wishes.

Oh no, they are definitely rumors. I've heard them from plenty of Lego fan sites and even one Star Wars site. Maybe someone was lying when they said they knew it was coming, but I'm thinking the chances are pretty good, and to add to that I'm hoping the chances are pretty good! :cry_happy:

That's what I thought, but I didn't know it was 'confirmed' like that. Thanks for pointing that out. I can't wait to get them, if they're real.

I would much rather an Imperial battlepack with two Scouts, a Stormie and a DS Gunner. :cry_happy: Four Scouts is a bit...you know... As for the Rebels, three soldiers and one Ewok.

Greetings,

That Imperial BP sounds about right. (but don't forget a Speeder Bike!... And maby a small tree or somthing)

However, that rebel BP is out of place i reckon. In the movie there was only ever like 5 soldiers in total, as part of a small attack team. But there were heaps of ewoks. I'm thinking

3 Ewoks, 1 Rebel, (and the same glider as in the new Endor, along with mabye another one of their tricks... logs mabye)

There were definitely more than 5 rebels. There were at least 20-25. Rebels would sell a lot better than ewoks.

Thanks for that hint, Darth Legolas! :classic:

But that this "rumour" appears on several Lego fan sites does imo not make it a rumour but a set wish. :sceptic:

I personally can't imagine that TLG is going to release one or two Endor BPS next years because

1.

TLG surely would think that a lot of people would then buy these and let out the awesome The Battle of Endor set (imo a false conclusion since the Endor BPs would help to improve the Endor battle scene and not be an alternative to it)

2.

Next year is the celebration of ESB. And since we unluckily have to wait a big line of CW sets and all that stuff which comes along with it there surely will not be more OT sets than this year. And I bet that all these OT sets next year then will be from ESB.

But of course I might be wrong. TLG has been surprising us in the last year with that awesome and never expected sets that nearly everything is possible.

I personally would very much like to see some Endor BPs in order to get more DS Troopers, more Scout Troopers with speeder bikes, some Strom Troopers, some more Ewoks, more Endor Rebel Troopers and of course some trees to create - in addition to this year's awesome Endor set - a huge battle!

If you watch the begining of this youtube video you can see there was at least 10 rebel commandos (thats not including the main characters).

I was specking Metaphorically... I know there were more than 5 rebels. What i ment was that there were way more ewoks than rebels in the endor battle

(however i still think there were less then 25... Seen)

Well then that might point to Hoth BP's, but I'm not so sure about that. The new "defense of Echo Base" set is really two BP's combined but with 4 minifigs instead of 8. But thank you for the information that next year is the anniversary of ESB, which could point to some sort of new Hoth set, meaning more Taun-Tauns! There still is plenty to be made from Hoth such as (not saying this is a real rumor,) a Wampa Cave set.

There still is a chance of at least one Endor set coming next year. And think about this: Endor Magnet Set, the new kind, where the minifigs come off the brick! I think there's a strong chance of that, but again, no rumor to back it up.

Well, I believe there is a high chance of an endor battle pack. It would definately prove a pattern set by lego.

2007: clone/ droid battlepack

2008: rebel/ stormie battlepack

2009/episode 2 clone/ droid battlepack

See the pattern?

However, it might yet another clone wars battlepack, and we might even get more hoth soldiers as battlepacks instead of our little endor buddies. i do think it is highly likely though. Does anyone agree?

In the perfect world lego would make 2 battlepacks, an endor one and a hoth one. However I feel that endor will prevail over hoth for the set. I think that rebels soldiers will be in there with maybe a turret. And I think a mix of scout troopers and storm troopers with a speeder on the imperial side. Still, what ever Lego makes i'll buy!

Speaking of battle packs, I was wondering about the magnet set with Count Dooku and Yoda and Mace Windu. can the figs come off the bricks?

just wanted to make sure before I bought it.

Yes. :classic:

Yes, they can, Raphy.

You can easily take the magnet away from the minifig without disturbing one of both.

I even bought the Stormtrooper Magnet Set only because I wanted the minifigs - the magnets don't interest me.

I partly agree with you, Roncanator.

A new Hoth BP next year is absolutely excluded since we already get the Echo Base this year which is a Hoth BP.

If TLG wants to release two new OT BPs in January two Endor BPs are highly likely. Perhaps one with two Stormtroopers, a Scouttrooper, a DS Trooper and a speeder bike and one with two Ewoks, two Endor Rebel Troopers and a tree - that would be awesome! :oh:

But perhaps TLG releases again some CW BPs or perhaps even no BP in the size of last year's January BPs. :sceptic:

But did you even think of some sort of "on a main character based Super BP" like this year's Echo Base but for Endor?! It might include Endor Luke, an Ewok, a Scout Trooper, a Storm Trooper, an Endor Rebel Trooper, a speederbike and a tree. What do you think?

Hmm. Perhaps two Rebels and two Ewoks (but both with differing printing from the Endor set, so we don't have twenty Paploos ). It would be nice to see new faces for the Rebels too, but I would not mind Starkiller heads.

Maybe a Logray.

But Luke was never in that scene :sceptic:

And why does everyone want a Endor Luke? I have one somewhere in my minifigure collection and I'm betting they don't cost more than 5 dollars on Bricklink.

But a new flesh one would be nice..............

The only one we have is from 8-9 years ago. It would be nice to get a new one. And while he wasn't in the scene, that isn't going to stop Lego. Look at the new Hoth set. Han was never on his Tuantaun during the Battle of Hoth. But, the set was a great opportunity to get one out there, and has probably increased the sales of that set.

Han was on his Tuantaun just before the battle wasn't he? I have never seen Lego bring out any minifigs that were not in the scene originally.

Yes just before looking for Luke.

Exactly, but that's not when the LEGO set is set. There were no Snowtroopers attacking then.

SWMAN was just pointing out that TLG doesn't always stick to what's correct if it means a good money-making opportunity.

Look at Commander Fox in the Homing Spider droid set!

Posted
Don't forget Obi-Wan in the Pirate Tank set.

That's a better comparison to the Echo Base set. Thanks, Pi. Both happened in sort of the same place, at sort of the same time, so it's easy for TLG to fool some less-hardcore SW fans to make good selling opportunities.

Fox, however, has never been seen anywhere near a spider droid!

That may well be the case. i have only seen the films  and Clone Wars but havent seen the tv series or other animations that may exist. :classic:
