You guys going on about next year being the Empire Strikes Back anniversary there may not be much, TLG didn't do a thing for TPM, its 10 years this year and they didn't do anything.

But then again, not many people liked TPM, whereas TESB is the favorite of many OT fans.

We already discussed this. I think it's too insignificant to have made a set out of. Remeber the Pirate Tank required at least two Episodes to be made into a set, and remember Battle Packs are made for millions of people to buy, that's not going to happen with some barely known Clone Wars Episode.

If they were CW related, I do not think they would be the episode you are talking about related but rather take place on the second (or even third) season of CW : we had the assasin droids this year that do not appear a lot (in two r three episodes and are not main characters) and are supposed to be far more present in the second season. Moreover, there are only clones and these strange creatures in that episodes and no proper enemies that is worthing a battle pack.

I really think therefore (and all appareaces seem to show that) that we will get Hoth battle packs. I really hope we will have an AT-At UCS minifig scaled to complete the battle, it would be awesome to celebrate this 30th anniversary

The thing is, that no-one really needs heaps of Snowies. In the movie, i don't even recall seeing any on the battlefield. Sure there were plently of rebels, so I'll get quite a few of them, but Snowies never really had that major part in the film....

Anyway... Time to start looking out for 2010 romours lists then. Cool.

No snowies? They were all with Darth when he invaded the base. They even almost shot the Falcon.

I think what legoman was saying is there is no snowies when they were invading. I think there was just rebel troopers trying to take down AT-ATs.

We have already discussed this. The new mid-scale Falcon was in the new CW packaging, which means that all new sets will probably have this packaging. The only reason the OT sets this year had a different packaging was because it was celebrating the 10th Anniversary. And TPM is not a favorite among fans, while all three of the OT films are.

And would you please stop complaining about a lack of Modding in the forums and other people mini-modding. While people shouldn't mod if they aren't moderates, I don't think it is that big of a deal if they give friendly reminders about small things like staying on topic. And honestly, you cause a lot of the problems that require modding. And not just in the Star Wars thread. I have noticed the same thing in the Culture and Multimedia thread.

FINALLY!!!! Some 2010 sets news . Now this are some really interesting pics. In one hand they look almost certainly like battlepacks for their box size but after looking at the pics again I note something. The battlepacks are supposed to be conformed by generic characters that appear as multiples in the movies/shows/videogames SW related. If anyone look at the box of the left they appear to be two non-generic minifigs, the orange dressed one (Could possible be a Rebel Pilot but who knows ) and the most interesting the one that has blue pants and tan coat, I don´t remember in either the "Tresspass" episode or ESB movie any generic soldier with that outfit so maybe could this be the return of the SMALL sets instead of BP??? I think the chances are pretty good but after all this are just speculations of my part. The box in the right in the other hand LOOKS like an Hoth Imperial BP because of the apparent assortment of 4-5 Snowtroopers and what seems to be a Speeder Bike and because of this my theory now has more against itself .

Down in that corner is a circle with whatever minifigure the pack has the most of with the words "Build Your Army." It is actually easier to see that it is the "Build Your Army" circle when you watch the clip and pause to see the whole frame rather than this crazy zooming in to get blurry pics that morph into blue-pants guys and Wampas on speeder bikes and all sorts of things.

Some additional Hoth BPs would be totally awesome - especially if they included some sort of commander on each side, too (but which I regrettably highly doubt) and some more vehicles!

Nevertheless I'm not totally sure that these are BPs from episode 5 since we already have a Hoth BP this year with a big gun, a turrent and Snowtroopers and Hoth Rebel Troopers.

From what I see I must say that it's very hard to judge what the BPs include:

-left BP: Rebel Pilot (imo very supposably Luke since we didn't get one single set with Luke this year), three Hoth Rebel Troopers (which look to me as if they wear dark clothes) and a big open tank or something similar to the Rebel Scout Speeder but with two guns on top

-right BP: a big gun in the background with a trooper (looks to me more like a Hoth Rebel Trooper than a Snowtrooper), a Snowtrooper in the middle and maybe a speederbike in the front, otherwise it's to blurry to be aible to detect anything

Btw: Since that tank in the left BP looks to me much bigger than e. g. the one in the Rebel Scout Speeder BP and since there is even a forth different minifig included (the Rebel Pilot - imo Luke): Do you think that these two BPs then will be more expensive than this year's?

That's what i thought at first glance, anyway. This is definately hoth but there could be clones. Everything is way to white.

I have not be been watching the CW, so I am not sure if they have included true Mandalorians in the CW so far, but Lego doesn't really do that much EU. Plus, if the pattern so far holds true, this years BP's have to be OT.

That is definitely a snowie. If it was dengar, it would be a fleshie blur at the top and not black.

I am so excited about these new pictures. I doubt there would be two vehicles in one BP, but instead a turret and a speeder. And who would want five or six Whampas when buying multiple BPs?

You're missing the point perhaps entirely.

It clearly has Vader's custom Tie, but it is strangely in grey rather than blue, and it has three additional figures NOT INCLUDED in the previous multi-set.

Yes I did and it doesn't look the same as in the video. Take a look at 6:38 and further on. You definitly see another box.

I know everbody is focusing on thebattlepacks but this looks like news to me.

So what is it?
