Pirate Pete Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I think that the box on the left is imperial and the right is rebel because what alot of you said was a "wampa" is, according to my eyesight, a taun taun. Quote
DarthSion Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 That's because they are Rorschach tests and people will see what they want to see, like a lone red minion in Nordberg Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 That is definitely a snowie. If it was dengar, it would be a fleshie blur at the top and not black. I am so excited about these new pictures. I doubt there would be two vehicles in one BP, but instead a turret and a speeder. And who would want five or six Whampas when buying multiple BPs? Thanks for those pictures! I definitely see Dengar there as well, he's just holding a gun up. The body looks more grey, and it does look like a white wrap around his head, rather than a Snow helmet. But it's faaar too low quality to say for sure either way. Quote
L-space Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Some screen shots to show the 3 in 1 packs are not the same. See the difference? Quote
Commander Assassin Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) I have no idea why, but the guy in the 'Build Your Army' circle on the right looks like Dengar to me. It's the bandana around his head and that outfit. And the rifle. To me, that looks like Hoth Luke from Lego SW II, something along the lines of this. jansued Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Here are the first pics of the RBR: Follow the thread.. Thea are on the backside of the 10196 instructions, so should be ok to show them. Regards, JanSued Quote

TheBrickHitHouse Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Carbon copy of the republic cruiser - we'll be lucky to fit 2 people in the interior Doesnt really blow me away plus it will be £150 plus - a couple of years ago £150 would have got u one amazing RBR.... Quote
Oky Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Some screen shots to show the 3 in 1 packs are not the same.>SNIP< See the difference? Uhm... No. Looks exactly the same to me. Could you please explain what's supposed to be different? @ Legopiotre: I think you should add the following pic to your post: Quote
L-space Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Uhm... No. Looks exactly the same to me. Could you please explain what's supposed to be different? Look at the bottom right corner of the boxes. On 66308 you see the box of the battlepack and inthe video you see 3 minifigs. Quote
The Who Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I notice that the midsection of the RBR looks way too similar to the Republic Cruiser's midsection... Quote
JimBee Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 See the difference? Nope. If you're talking about the minifigures, part of Darth Vader in the video is hidden by the box next to it. They are exactly the same. Carbon copy of the republic cruiser - we'll be lucky to fit 2 people in the interior I notice that the midsection of the RBR looks way too similar to the Republic Cruiser's midsection... Agreed. I was even thinking about modding my RC to a RBR (before these pics emerged) because the real (movie) designs are very similar. Not very mind-blowing at all, and the only way TLG is going to get me to buy this set is with exclusive figs. Quote
Oky Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) Interesting. Well, it doesn't look bad, but it does remind of the Republic Cruiser. And it certainly doesn't look worth $150+. I was hoping for something with nice interior, but I guess that was too much to ask for since the interior of this thing will probably wont be a lot better than that of the Cruiser. Oh well, I'll have to hold off on real judgement until I actually see the interior and the figs. Oh and btw: In your face, DarthSion! Do you believe that there is a RBR now? Look at the bottom right corner of the boxes. On 66308 you see the box of the battlepack and inthe video you see 3 minifigs. I don't see any minifigs on the bottom right corner, just the BP boxes. Like many here, you're seeing things. Edited July 13, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

I used every photo programm I could find to prove I was right but I have to admit: they are the same. It was the angle that put me of. back to the Battlepacks. I don't know how people can see so much detail all i see is white and an orange figure. based on that and the anniversary i agree on Hoth. Quote
darkrebellion Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I don´t know what to think about this new Rebel Blockade Runner . It doesn´t look bad but not great at all , here are my complains: - Looks to much like the Republic Cruiser in the mid-section . I thought we will receive a mid-structure like that one in the first RBR but with interior . - The cockpit area looks weird to me for some reason. Maybe is that the "red" colored sections of it look like chrome red . - It looks pretty small also, this is the same reason I dislike the new Venator , I thought they will solve that "issue" for the RBR but it seems like they don´t . - My biggest complain is for the engine area, it doesn´t looks even close to the real thing . Far too small and undetalied I like the first RBR engine section a lot more. - It doesn´t looks even $150 and the TLC will almost charge us $250+ for it . At this stage it looks like a let down to me but I will wait to see more pics to judge it. Quote
Alldarker Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 10198 RBR looks fine to me, but not spectacular. I´d agree that it resembles the Republic Cruiser, but I never did buy that set, so that´s not a problem for me. I think the cockpit looks interesting, might actually fit two or even three figures next to each other. The centre section is probably all hallway with an escape pod on one side and perhaps a very small room on the other. I wish the picture would show which figures come with it, but I guess they are pretty easy to guess anyhow: Leia (10188 DS version), Darth Vader, C-3PO and R2D2 as the essential main cast, and hopefully a Stormtrooper, a Rebel Fleet Trooper and Captain Antilles. All in all there's little chance of any spectacular new figures... Quote

sologuy369 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 from this movie: I got this Screenshot It looks like: Rebels 1 rebel pilot 3 rebel troopers a vehicle that looks a bit like the 2007 bp Imperials 3 or 4 snowtroopers hoth speederbike THANKs.I thought that the photo might be blurry but any info will be great. From far away it looked like a AAT!? Oky Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 The cockpit area looks weird to me for some reason. Maybe is that the "red" colored sections of it look like chrome red . What's wrong with chrome red? Seriously though, I don't think it's anywhere near chrome. Just the usual shiny-ness of these curved parts. My biggest complain is for the engine area, it doesn´t looks even close to the real thing . Far too small and undetalied I like the first RBR engine section a lot more. I think you should take a closer look. Due to the angle of the picture, the engines look small, but they aren't. They're about 4-6 studs wide each, which is pretty big for this scale considering there are eleven of them. Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) Thank you very much for that news, JanSued and for the pics, L-Space! Great that - after a that long time to wait - we finally get a pic of it! Like the most of you I, too, don't know what I shall think about the RBR - but can already from the first pic say that I'm really disappointed: -it looks very similar to the RC -it looks very small in comparison to e. g. the minifig-scaled ISD -it seems as if TLG let out the lower array of engines -it is much too small that we can await a decent interior (e. g. the area between the cockpit and the midsection is partly only two stucks wide) I must say that I'm - judging from this pic - really disappointed since I thought that TLG wants to offer a even bigger than the minifig scaled ISD big vehicle whcich contains even a decent interior. But the outcome seems more to be like the RC - a more or less mid-scaled UCS modell with some minifigs. One thing is clear: If there is no decent interior included (which is more or less excluded when you look at how thin it is (apart from in the midsection and in the cockpit) I surely won't buy it since I surely won't pay 150-250 Euros for a mid-scaled UCS modell with some minifigs (I really don't like vehicles without interior!).
