General Armendariz Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Hey LegoKingThis has been seen but it was removed at Lego's request, you might want to remove it from your post. Cheers Hewman Edit: Quick work LegoKing! To answer your other question, the best guesses here say 5 figs, Captain Antilles, Leia, R2, C-3PO and one rebel Maybe two rebels, plus a DV or stormie. Quote
RileyC Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) I dont think we will get Darth Vader in the RBR. But if we do get him I think the minifig count will be higher than 5. I think that we will only get 4 or 5 minifigs, Leia, C3PO, R2 D2 and Captain Antilles. Edited July 15, 2009 by Roncanator Quote

Well if we have a look at the similar sized republic cruiser, it had 5 figs (Obi, Qui-gon, a pilot, a captain and an astromech droid), however, this could be because it is being cannon, in the actual movie, the cruiser that obi-wan and qui-gon were on was running a skeleton crew. I'd like to see at least 2 rebels Quote
Raphy Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Well, what I'd like to see is a new Padme and Jar Jar and Threepio figs. And, of course, an official Cad Bane minifigure :cry_happy: Quote
ADHO15 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Well, what I'd like to see is a new Padme and Jar Jar and Threepio figs. And, of course, an official Cad Bane minifigure :cry_happy: What's that got to do with anything? They certainly won't be in the Rebel Blockade Runner (except C-3PO). I'd say post this in the 'Future Star Wars' sets thread instead, but you seem to have put it there too. Quote
RileyC Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 On another star wars related note; I've noticed that the lego S@H banner in the theme section has changed. Now instead of blue lettering for "Star Wars" has gone from blue to red. Could that have something to do with the new clone wars box design? Quote
Aussietrooper Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Hi!I found this video on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_b2BPAq_1w I open in full window, an i push "Print Screen". I see 2 Hoth battlepacks! 1. Imperial: Speederbike, white hoth version and 4 snowtroopers! Maby cannon, or something like this. 2. Rebel: I see 3 Hoth troopers and one rebel pilot. In this set is something like hovercar (?) And what YOU see on this photo/video? ;) maybe it's not the Hoth version. maybe it's that snow battle from the Clone wars series. Just a couple of thoughts...Firstly as pointed out by a few people we have already had what is effectively a hoth battle pack. Why would we get another? Now the pictures aren't clear but it looks to me like the sets we are looking at another clones vs pack. The box art matches the new clone wars style (which I know doesn't mean anything as it well early but still..) In this case I think the right hand box is a set of snow trooper clones with a BARC speederbike. Have a look at this episode guide from the tv series: http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/guide/episode015.html So I think this is what we will be getting some of: Blockade runner looks good but I'm seeing lots of stickers.. god I miss printed parts! I agree, cause the packaging in clone wars, not the trilogy version, and there consintrating on the clone wars alot, and it might be a sneak peak to one of the episodes.or some. Quote
Adverse Camber Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I have notived a couple of things regarding both the RBR and the battle packs, apologies if they have been mentioned before, I did my best to read every comment since the picture release. Ragrding the RBR, if you look at your "saved" pictures of it and zoom on the front window, you will see what looks like a standard chair inside. If this isn't a chair, and it is midi scale, then why go to the trouble of the clear window to expose interior build structure? On the battle packs, if they are indeed clone wars battle packs, then the orange figure cannot be a rebel pilot as the rebels don't yet exist in the clone wars timeline. Quote

I think that we will only get 4 or 5 minifigs, Leia, C3PO, R2 D2 and Captain Antilles. Sounds like that could be a good guess. Throw in a rebel and you're good to go. Maybe two rebels, plus a DV or stormie. Nope Quote
Millacol88 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 You guys sure do a lot of guessing these days And good guessing ideed. I guess you'll just have to wait and see... Judging by yours and CopMike's posts in this thread, you guys know whats coming. And I think because CM said "Pedro is good at guessing," that this will be a set with minifigures (Antilles, Leia, R2-D2, C-3P0, and a rebel trooper, maybe two.) We haven't got long to wait. Quote
Trudop561 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 It seems that the Comic-Con Lego exclusive is not a set but a pack of postcards. Disappointing And here is the description : "DK will be giving away a total of nine Star Wars LEGO postcards as well as a folder that will hold them. In addition, they will be unveiling an exclusive minifigure that will be included with LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary. While eight of the postcards depict multiple LEGO Star Wars minifigures, a ninth will include the exclusive new minifigure (which will be unveiled at the show)." Millacol88 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Huh! I wonder what that fig could be? Not a Luke on Yavin IV! Seriously, this is a pretty big letdown for the "exclusive." Maybe there will be an actual set being sold and not just these postcards. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I think it's funny how some of thee cards make next to no sense. I guess they all sort of have an idea to them as to what minifigures are displayed, but then they kind of fall down on the job. It seems that whoever designed them just wanted a smattering of characters from throughout the years of Lego Star Wars, such as them putting a sand red battle droid and blue SBD on the Separatist card, and Episode II Anakin on the Jedi card, and a yellow Han and Leia on the "Heroes" card. And then there is the card with Jabba, which is just a smattering of other random characters. I think that if they had picked one time frame per card (except for the Bounty Hunter one, which is good), the cards would look a lot more impressive. Quote
posades Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I dunno, I kind of like the cards, but for people expecting an exclusive set I can see why they'd be disappointed. I can also see where they were going with the groupings on the cards (droids, aliens, "bad guys", etc.), but I have to agree with Clone O' Patra in that they could have thought out the groupings a little more in dpeth. Darth Legolas Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) Actually I Fox did make it into one episode before he got blown away saving the senator. But not a good reason to make a minifig of him. Also incorrect. There are more than 50 Clones who have the same armor as fox. In fact, three of them were seen in the season opener! You are thinking of Stone. Here's his picture: On topic: I hope you were joking when you asked about the minifig. I really feel sorry for Lego nowadays. All od their "big secrets" are ruined months before the grand unveiling! Please stop arguing about the RBR. It's so silly how you think it's Midi-scale! That's just so... not nearly....blah! Edited July 15, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Roderick Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Or, it could just be that they're conveniently from the same planet, i.e. Coruscant, and the same area within Coruscant, i.e. the Galactic Senate(hence the symbol), and they're just off doing their own business protecting Senators and VIPs. Quote

Commander Fox was featured in the Clone Wars series. He appeared in Hostage Crisis when he and the Coruscant Guard tried to stop Cad Bane from leaving. Here's a pic: Trust me on this one. Commander Fox's armour is different, as you can see, to that of the Coruscant Guard or Stone or Thire or whoever else you think it was. Believe me, I know. I've made them all on MS Paint and can tell the difference. Quote
TheTacoMan Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 why does TLC take, or ask sites to take down pictures of unreleased sets? This is the INTERNET you know, once something gets out there, you simply cannot take it down Quote

Mraz Skintas Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 For all of you people that still think the Battle Packs will be Clone Wars, you are more than likely wrong. Just because they are in the packaging for the Clone Wars means nothing. All of the Hasbro toys had that packaging and the new one, and some of the toys were from the OT. The Midi Falcon is in the Clone Wars packaging, and Hoth is the only thing that makes since. 2010 is the 30th anniversary for ESB, so getting sets from them would make sense as well. And plus, most fans have been wishing for easy, cheap sets to get Snowies and Hoth Rebels since the beginning of time. Quote

Wookiepedia really needs to update some of it's information! * 3D * Shahan Alama * Padmé Amidala * Cad Bane * C-3PO * Riyo Chuchi * Onaconda Farr * Obi-Wan Kenobi (Mentioned only) * Bail Prestor Organa * Palpatine * Zinn Paulness (First appearance) * Philo (First appearance) * Robonino * Dantum Roohd (First appearance) * Aurra Sing * Anakin Skywalker * Jakker-Sun (First appearance) * Orn Free Taa * Unidentified assistant droid (First appearance) * Unidentified blue protocol droid (First appearance) * Unidentified Christophsian senator (First appearance) * Unidentified IG-86 sentinel droid (First appearance) * Unidentified purple-gowned senator (First appearance) * Unidentified turquoise R5 unit (First appearance) * Unidentified WED-15 Treadwell (First appearance) * Unidentified Senate Commando captain (First appearance) * Ziro Desilijic Tiure I see the image, but he's nowhere on this list! Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that he doesn't have a speaking part... oh well. I never saw him in the episode, and I do know the difference between the few, but since I never saw that scene I never noticed it before. But now, I've got some Wookiepedia editing to do! He does say something like 'Lower your weapons' or something (the episode's only on YouTube in Polish so I'm not sure). The lists can be a bit incomplete. The list of appearances throughout the series doesn't feature the MTT, for instance. I'm sure there are many more as well. Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Alrighty, to clear this whole Fox thing up. There are many commanders with armour somewhat similar to Fox, but they all differences. They are all part of the Senate Guard/ Homeland Security Division, which is why when they are seen, they are with a Senator, or important personnel of the Republic. The picture above is Fox, and the other ones in this topic aren't. Quote

As for those postcards, I don't think they look too bad, but they could be better. The groups are mixes of old, new and CW figs which could be improved. They don't really have a point, though, so it's not important. They're just Comic Con souvenirs, aren't they? Quote
sologuy369 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 The postcards look nice .It would be nice if they were on Lego.com. Quote
