Huh? LEGOscum was not being immature or bragging, he was simply giving away as much information as he was allowed to, just like einsteinonthebeach. LEGO does not want their employees spilling all the beens, I am sure, so I am quite thankful that both of these members have given us as much information as they could. Both have been quite helpful when it comes to discussions about the upcoming book and ending the minifigure and midi-scale queries about the RBR.

On another note, I disagree with all those who say that the RBR is the anniversary set, so it should be quite large, minifig filled, and quite expensive. LEGO has released several sets this year that collectively celebrate the anniversary, all of which have been nice and presented a few new figures or elements (Taun Taun, Ackbar, new ewoks, etc.). I think the RBR will be just another nice set to add to the anniversary celebration, without it being definitive in any way. For one, I could not afford something as big and lovely as the Death Star.

You know, I agree. I found it extremely hilarious when I first read the sentence: "what a mature person u r!" No offense, Thebrickhithouse, but that makes you seem a lot less mature!

Second of all, it's true there are a few Lego employees here who do indeed know the secrets of the RBR, but if they let em' leak out, it's the trash compactor for them!

Third of all, the RBR might be better than we think. This may be a bad time to bring up the Clone Wars, but when I first saw the Venator, I hated it. Now I like it, and bought it. When Lego finally reveals the RBR, we may actually see it's bigger than we think, there fore it's already better!

-It will have mini-figures. Five.

-It does have 11 engines in the back

-Approx 1,400 pieces

Sounds good.

And, I meant quantify.

Oh. I've heard a few of my friends say that, but thought they just made it up.

I really don't understand why TLG releases that a "small" RBR which offers nearly no interior and even includes only that less minifigures.

Maybe they are expecting more ''Collector'' type poeple to buy it, who sit it on a shelf to stare at. :sceptic:

Nah, I saw it in Billund last February!

Lucky... (Wishing I had your job)

what a mature person u r! U go on a forum to brag about seeing a lego model, refuse to elaborate and then claim you 'cant' - so you can just give away details YOU consider irrelevant?

This is the 10th anniversary of Lego SW and when the rumours came up of the Tantive 4 everybody was expecting something really great with about eight minifigs (including minimum two new minifigs) and a descent interior (cockpit, floor with blowing up door, engine room and control room (where Vader tortures Antilles)). I really don't understand why TLG focuses that much on exterior details - if someone is that interested in exterior details he or she can and should buy the UCS version! That's the money and these are the bricks which now are missing for more room and a descent interior!

Klaus-Dieter

I think if you wanted all of those key places inside the Tantive IV you would either have to have a really big ship or a playset. I wouldnt mind a Tantive IV playset as long as it had all the key places in the set.

Any chance you can tell us how you would mark the set out of 10.

I know i am pushing it here.

Do they seriously design sets that early?

I would have thought it would have only been designed in the last year, then mabye all finished around this feb - Not last!

Wow... Intresting

Well, it looks like it has been confirmed that the Tantive IV will be unveiled at Comic-Con along with minifigs from the Toy Story and Prince of Persia sets on Wednesday. :classic:

Note that it says "Never before seen LEGO products, including the new LEGO Star Wars™ Tantive IV starship", meaning there will be other sets revealed! :sweet:

Just read that the RBR will be unveiled at wednesday. :sweet:

Bring it on...

EDIT: that's a new one for me posting the same news at the same time. But credits to Oky for being a split second faster.

I was about to post that too. :hmpf:

Maybe clearer pics of the battle packs will arise with the SDCC.

Hehe, I beat you all to it.

Now how about we "stay on target" and start speculating what those other never-before-seen sets are?

Do you think they'll be the BPs? Or do you think they wont even be SW related?

What's your next line? "I know you are but what am I?"

My sources tell me that you havent seen this set - but i cant reveal them because i'm hoping i'll look like 'a big man' for this :hmpf:

At the risk of sounding mature: whatever.

10 out of 10 of course!

Something like a year or so, because of the vast approval system everything has to go through with the various departments in LEGO Co and LFL. Just to clarify, it was Feb 2009 and not 2008 I was in Denmark.

Cool, that's intresting to know.

Prehaps the battlepacks will be part of the BM exclusive, along with some other thing, like last year's... Say, both BP's and a few tauntauns :cry_happy::tongue:

Cool I hope they debut more sets at Comic-Con.

Will they show other new sets will they be the January/february wave?

Or maybe there is another huge surprise set, and the RBR was just a distraction the whole time  . But seriously...

Maybe the will show us the battlepacks, seeing as their are very near completion (or complete enough to have a box lining the wall in the designer's studio).

Anyway, I'm actually more excited to see the Toy Story minifigures. Does anyone else remember when they revealed the Indiana Jones minifigure before the line started a couple of years ago? That was amazing. Hopefully these will be just as amazing. And now I've wandered off topic....

LEGOScum, could you possibly tell us if they are indeed Hoth? (The Battle Packs, of course)

Past experiences tell me he won't.

I'm looking forward to seeing the RBR in person, and having thoughts on it then. I doubt we're going to see too much there from Star Wars for the future. Hopefully though, we will.

My post disappeared again! What the heck? Anyway, there are big chances of a few sets being revealed at the ComiCon. How about the brickmaster exclusive, per say?

I have a feeling the RBR will be detailed somewhere, but everywhere else it'll be pretty darn plain. Don't forget the escape pods!

"Just a picture of the 10199 (UCS Super Star Destroyer) on the back side."

... what jansued wrote in his Fire Brigade Review about the instruction manual. He didn't post a pic so far.

.. and I thought 10199 is this:

Of course nothing is excluded but I can't imagine that they'll show the new BPs there.

I more think that they'll show the 10197 Fire Brigade there - and if we've got much luck (which I don't think) then perhaps even the awesome 10199 Christmas Cottage.

I could even well imagine that they'll show one or two little Toy Story sets since some of the minifigs of these sets will be shown there anyway.

I'm very sure that 10199 is the Christmas Cottage.

An UCS Super Star Destroyer would imo make no sense and there are already enough big and expensive sets out this year.

I enjoy a position of trust with LEGO Co, and while I might tempt and tease you, I don't imagine myself as any kind of spokesperson for them and I won't give away their secrets.

I know we usually don't discuss accessories and such things much here, but I thought this looks too good not to mention:

If it hadn't that English text under the picture I would buy it - but it regrettably has and so I won't buy it.

Nevertheless it looks pretty good!

Where did you find that?

Brickset. But does it really matter? :hmpf:

What's so bad about the text? :look: I think it's rather cute.

Btw, I'm pretty sure jansued's comment about a UCS Super Star Destroyer is just a joke. (You know, because he can't say that it's really the Tantive IV  )
