Honestly, I'd be glad if the set sucks. I'd be crushed if it's something awesome but totally overpriced. :sceptic:

It would be terrible if the set was awesome and us 'Easterners' on the other coast can't buy it.

@Roncanator: Usually when people say that, they edit their post. You still have Ahsoka spelled wrong...

It may even be the Snail Tank with an added bonus!

It can't be: The official set has 216 pieces, and with an added bonus, there is no way it would be the 202 pieces in the exclusive.

The box on the left definitely has a speeder bike. I'm betting on a Snowtrooper pack, so they MUST be Hoth themed. Look at all the white!

Don't you mean the one on the right?

Btw, I'm pretty sure the SDCC exclusive will be something relatively new, just like the Indy one was.

I would say in the range of $35-40. The new Hoth set has 155 pieces and is $25. That's around $5 per 30 pieces. I am really hoping that it is going to include Phase 2 Clones. I am guessing that it wills simply because it seems dumb for Lego to include a picture of one on the box if it doesn't have any.

I think price on this one may be slightly inflated since it is a limited edition.

This Brickshelf Folder has some good zoomed-in shots of the two boxes.

wow those pics are a lot clearer than some of the other ones ive seen. I think in the right one there is either a taun taun or it could be a wampa

It's definitely Clone Wars. There are definitely not going to be Phase II clones. It may even be the Snail Tank with an added bonus!

No offense, but what makes you so sure it doesn't have any Phase II clones. Have you seen it? Obviously not because you think it might the the Snail Tank, even though that won't work because of the piece count. I hate when people make statements like they are facts when they don't even have all the facts. I still think it will have Phase II. When we see the set, I might be right or might be wrong. But, I am not going around saying that I am definitely right.

Thanks for the images Captain Rex 110

I think it's possible that LEGO could create a new version of phase two clonetroopers - similar to that of the new phase ones - with a helmet with printed visor rather than a cut-through visor. I like the current phase twos, but think a Clone Wars style version with all the accessories and upgrades could be a great improvement. I much prefer the new printed visors too.

It's great to speculate that with the box image being what it is, maybe this is just what you'd get new phase twos! And why not? They've already updated one type of clonetrooper.

Asides from that though I live in the UK meaning this is all just a tease! There's virtually 0% chance I'll ever get my hands on this unless I a) sell some organs and book my flight now to SDCC b) sell some organs to fund paying the extortionate price for the set when it becomes available on eBay.

I quite fancy keeping all my organs at this stage so I guess that's that...!

Okay, I must admit something. The only, and extremely small chance of there actually being Phase II Clones in the SDCC09 exclusive is if they use the old mold. So there is a chance, but not for a new mold. Please if you can, show me one entirely exclusive Star Wars set that contained a new mold. Store Exclusives don't count don't count, as they are still widely available, nor do recolors as the piece can still be bought.

Lego is not planning on making Phase II's next year as far as we know, and they would not make a brand new mold for only 500 people in the world to grub for it!

Making a new Phase II for an extremely limited exclusive is the equivalent of making a brand new Death Star Gunner helmet, with the mask that goes all over the face. Only 500 people in the world would be owning something that most people in the public want.

And third, it's just a silly label! It's like when we thought the Midi-Scale MF was it's older Episode III version because of the Clone Wars box! Anything that signifies that it's Star Wars! This is a ll a huge misunderstanding/overreaction! (And please don't tell me I'm overreacting to your overreaction, I already know. ) Thank you!

Now, on a different subject. We can undoubtedly, and officially claim the 2010 battlepacks as being Hoth and OT, not Clone Wars. Thanks to CaptainRex110.

EDIT: Theory, big chance! The Brickmaster exclusive AT-TE mini, 94 pieces, and the upcoming exclusive LAAT/I mini, 94 pieces. 94+94= 188. 188+14 pieces= 202. 3-4 minifigures=14 pieces. Tada! The two brickmaster minis and 3-4 minifigures=202 pieces. Look at the math.

How many parts are the three Brickmaster Star Wars sets when added?

Could it be that the Comic Con Exclusive is a co-pack of those?

My theory, (right above your post,) states almost just that. The two minis combined are 188 pieces. 3-4 minifgures, and we've got just that! 202 pieces. KimT, I'm not sure if you know or not, but could please give a clue, or at least a riddle as to weather or not there will be Phase II Clones in the set?

I think we found out the set part of the set, but we need to know the minifigs.

I really have no idea what's in that set.

I wish I knew though :look:

Well, if you knew what was in the set, it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it  .

I'm not completely sold on the battlepacks yet. I think that people are getting ahead of themselves and assuming things. I know IT WOULD MAKE SENSE for the battlepacks to be Hoth themed, but LEGO has done a lot of things that don't make sense. The one on the right looks like a group of snow troopers, but there is some kind of new mold, which most people are assuming is a wampa. Plus, the one on the left doesn't look like rebels at all. The minifigures are way to dark, and people are assuming that the orange figure is a rebel pilot. We don't even know for sure that this is Hoth themed. People just assumed that it was, because the background was white. But, I have know idea what they are, so I have nothing else to throw in as a possible solution. The only other idea that I have is if the battlepacks tie in with the second season of the clone wars, the other new star wars t.v. show, or even some kind of E.U. thing.

Huh, and this post started out as a joke messing with KimT.

All this talk about the SDCC exclusive is getting me rather excited. But...I won't get my hopes up.

*please be new molds!*

You guys seen this. It's in color. 202 pieces.

>SNIP<

Thanks for that Captain! Oh dear.... And I don't know what is in it yet!

This Brickshelf Folder has some good zoomed-in shots of the two boxes.

:look:

I better stop assuming things now. God knows what they could be! Maybe they look weird cause they are prelim?

Like in the old CW cartoon. They were cool! Geez...imagine LEGO recreating Fordo and the battle of Coruscant. I know Oky would like to see a old CW cartoon version of Mace minifigure.

I'm in the UK too, but if there are Phase IIs in this set, they will be released in others. Just like the other exclusive last year with Rex etc. :classic:

It's all just speculation Tinn-man - it's one the highlights of visiting Eurobricks' forums! Seeing the pictures, reading everyone's opinions, some crazy, some not so - finding out who's guess was closest - and then the surprise and excitement when we see the real pictures! The speculation and discussion is all part of our passion. It'd be a dull thread if we didn't assume anything...

I do think it's likely this will come about at some point, especially if phase twos start popping up in the current Clone Wars animated series.

I know, I know...

I'm just saying that I think that people are getting psyched up for hoth battle packs and are going to be disappointed if they don't get them. I would love for them to be Hoth, but I'm cautiously optimistic. All I'm saying is that, after seeing those new pictures, I'm starting to question if those are Hoth battlepacks. I just didn't want to come out and say "I DON'T THINK THAT THE BATTLEPACKS ARE HOTH," not wanting to be flamed by others. All I'm trying to say is let's step back and not assume that the battlepacks are Hoth.

personally, I dont think that will happen. Why would they have two minis and 3-4 minifigs in a set its just seems weird to have them both in the same set.

i'm quite sure there are som tlc guys reading this forum and rofling around...

but if so: they would see that there's a huge demand... so why not do some hoth battlebacks... they seem to be a nice cash-cow... probably there are not many sets that sell this often and even multiple times to the same customer...

It does say "Sponsored by Brickmaster", so I think it'll include Brickmaster minis and some minifigs.

They did somewhat the same thing last time - a few sets and a ziplock with some minifigs.

We'll know soon.

That is a fair point. But last year, the sets included were minifig scaled sets. It would seem weird to have mini-sets and then just throw in a few figures. That's like going to a garage sale and buying a Lego set with a few Action Figures thrown in.

Okay guys! Here's a little spark that makes the big bright lightbulb over everyone's head burn out! According to our never failing Wookiepedia (well it did fail once with Commander Fox,) the Phase II Clones are not entering the Clone Wars Animated series until possibly the end of season two. In fact, the creators are waiting out to see how long the show will last so they can find a good point to introduce Phase II armor into their show. Only the Battle Of Ryloth even happenned around the time of the Phase II armor was being created, and, if you follow the story, there is no timeline in the Clone Wars TV series. Different episodes and episode clusters could come in time before or after the next episode! Do you know what that means, TLG is very far from putting out Phase II's! And once again, the Phase II helmet you see on the box is a picture! Just a logo! Somebody please tell me, would all of this far off speculation be gone, if there was a Phase I helmet on the box?

Once again, there is a possibility of an old Phase II helmet being in there, but a brand new mold is 0-0.

Tomorrow is the first day of the ComiCon, so be ready!

P.S. Can I have I prize if I guessed right, seeing as once again I'm the only one saying something different about a rumor?

P.S.S. Is all of the bold font considered flaming? If so, I apologize.

You are have made your point many times. Unless you know for sure what is in the, you should just let other people speculate and guess without continually saying that you are definitely right and they are wrong. No one is saying that they are right, just that they hope they are. Bring it down a notch, would you?
