Really pleased with the Tantive IV, it looks great and it has a much better selection of minifigs than I was expecting. Especially great to finally see a new C-3P0, I was expecting him to be left out in favour of Vader. Love the Comic-Con exclusives too, particularly the Stormtrooper Luke/Han one and the Jedi Luke/Ackbar one. Don't suppose there'll be any way for the rest of us to get those little sets though. Too bad, as I've always felt they should sell little minifig sets like this!

Well, it's bigger than I thought (that's what she said  ).

It actually looks pretty cool, and now I'm really want one. I think the other picture looked so bad just because of the camera angle. And it does have minifigures. Who called it?

EDIT: Did anybody else realize that Captain Antilles has a new face? He's smiling :classic:3746555458_94459a5710_o.png

Of course, he won't be smiling when Darth Vader is choking him

Let's hope his face is double-sided with a choked expression on one side.

Wow, the RBR looks pretty cool, and $150 is a great deal. At least Captain Antilles is smiling instead of frowning.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get it...

I really like those "collectible display cases". I wish that they would be released to the public. :cry_sad:

I've also deeplinked the pictures (but the credit goes to LEGOscum):

I agree with everything you said!

YES!!! I am thrilled to see that the Tantive is $150. Thats a fine price for 1400 pieces. I will definitely be getting this. But Leia's desk is a complete copy of Palpatine's... Ah, well, it's a sweet desk!

The SDCC minifig displays are definitely interesting, but not like we couldn't get them somewhere else. Still waiting to see what the main set is though. And what is this talk about a mini LAAT? Sorry I'm not up to date!

The Tantive IV looks wonderful, absolutely stunning. The minifigs do it for me, another Leia and 3PO are very welcome!

Too bad it doesn't seem to have a landing gear... :hmpf_bad:

I'm actually growing quite fond of the Rebel Blockade Runner. It seems to be quite detailed for that scale, and has all of those delightful greebles... Even though it's probably hopeless, it appears from the LEGO.com picture that the sides of the top of the middle protrusion are hinged. Perhaps they managed to stick in the corridor in which Leia gives Artoo the plans? That would hold up perfectly with the escape pods, too, as they're off that same corridor... Obviously, it doesn't connect to the bridge, but they did use those large rounded pieces right at the escape-pod end, which gives me some small measure of hope.

I can hope, can't I? Or a least mod...

The only bit I really dislike at the moment is those gray wheel-rims used as the engines. Perhaps they'll look better in person, but I don't know.

Sorry, but if you look at this picture (link,) and look at the cutout of the inside, that entire area is taken up by Leia's "office." I don't recall ever seeing her office in the movie, so you could divide it up into two corridors by Modding anyway. One way could be the hall where the famous battle seen takes place, and the second half could be the side where Leia gives R2 the plans.

Well somehow the new Rebel Blockade Runner is starting to grow in me since this new pics have surffaced  . I must admit that there are quite a few good features for the size but the interior in my opinion is a totally rip-off :sadnew: . The same desk of Palpatine but in a new color and also that "command center" is really to laugh at :classic: . Everything else looks about right. The minifigs are pretty common but I must admit that I am happy that the TLC design a new Antilles instead of going for the orange shirt one that we saw in the LSWII videogame  .

It looks lovely

Depending on the Uk price I'll buy it, but there is too many >£50 sets released this year (endor, home one venator)

Based on the S@H price for the venator i'm guessing it'll be about

:oh:Must get set. Unlike most sets, I loved it as soon as I saw it. Too bad it won't be out 'till September. The price is fair, there are some new pieces, an exclusive fig, and lot's of white pieces. (I love white) I just wish they had included Vader and a stormie too, it's not asking much. As said, I sure hope Antilles has a double-sided face with a choking side. With some modding, this set could be superb! The one thing I'm confused about is why Leia's office is included. She didn't have that in the movie. Palpatine has his office on his new ship, and Leia on her's. Well, I would much rather get this than the venator, this surpasses it in so many ways. Good job TLG!

Thank you very much for the pic and the link, Sam89! :classic:

I must say while looking at these new pics it looks much better than when we only saw it on the backside of the instructions of 10197.

It seems to be well-sized, includes some interior and eleven motors!

The Antilles minifigure is very well done!

I totally agree with you, darkrebellion!

The idea of a command center is imo great.

But why do we get (Imperor) Leia's desk?! And the chair looks really  !

And for what do we need a transport vehicle?! :hmpf:

The only thing I'm bummed about is the interior, theres no hallway :cry_sad:

I totally agree with you, RoflWafls!

How can TLG not include that very important location?! It is more important than this office TLG included!

The place where the transport vehicle is very supposably stored (between the command center and the big radar dish) is exactly the place where there could have been the floor. :cry_sad:

We haven't seen the backside of the box - so there is at least a very small chance that there'll be a floor included. But I highly doubt it. :sceptic: What do you think?

All in all I must say it's ok. The best element is surely the Antilles minifigure.

At the moment I don't already know whether I'll buy it or not. It'll depend on whether there may be a floor included (which I highly doubt since otherwise TLG would have offered a pic of it or at least name it in the description) and mainly on how much it'll cost (for 150 Euros maybe, for more rather not).

After all the speculation it's great to see the real thing ... and I like it. Just have to wait to see what the NZD price will be. Not perfect but definitely its very very good. Well done Lego. This fan hasn't been disappointed and thanks Sam89.

The Blockade Runner looks pretty good now (especially the new Captain Antillies). I might just pick that up if I can afford it.

The Comic-Con display cases are cute, but they arn't as big of a deal as I hoped they would be.

Think about this! It's really surprising to me how similar this story is with me and the Venator! And that's besides the copy of the desk.

First, we saw a cruddy picture of the Venator. I hated it. Samething with the RBR, but I didn't hate it, seeing as I was waiting for newer pictures to come in.

Then I started worrying about the price. Same here.

Eventually, the price turns out fine, and new great pictures come in.

Finally, we have to mod the set. I am transplanting Palpatine's Venator office into my own, Square Senate building! (The project began a few days ago, so it should be finished in August. It'll be square though. :cry_sad:

Back to the point, to make the RBR perfect, we be rid of the silly desk for Leia and replace it with the famous fallway! Ta-da!

Tantive IV looks awesome, I wonder when they will start leting us preorder it. But whats with the desk seriously there is should be a hallway there!!!!!

I don't know if anyone can mod it either the slanted roof limits the amount of stuff you can build. but I am definitly geting this set it's awesome!!!!!!

That's indeed a good idea, Darth Legolas, but I never do mod sets since I want them to be like TLG designed them.

As for the price I think that it minimum will be 150 Euros. Well, like already said, for 150 Euros I'll supposably will buy it. But for more? :sceptic:

Great! Even though two of the pictures are just enlarged from the box, we get a better idea of the set. The cockpit is great, the escape pods do fit two minifigs cramped, and the engine lights are those 2X2 plates that are round on the bottom, in trans-yellow. We can definitely mod the interior into a hallway, as it should be.

I'm really impressed with the Blockade Runner. I was a little unhappy with it at first because I thought the proportions were really off, but now it seems great. True, the office is a little confusing, but I'm just glad there is an interior.

I'm not really sure why LEGO is asking sites to remove the pic of the 10198 - other than building hype before the official release. The funny thing is... its on their website :hmpf:

Dang, that's a big picture. :oh: Cool.

That's funny, I'm exactly the opposite. I always mod them. I'm a terrible MOCer, and I always have to have something to build off of, so modding sets is my favorite.

What a luck!

I thought that could be a chance for LEGO the make me angry again by putting lots of new and rare minifigures into this set, but luckily only Antilles is new!

Well who did you think they'd put in the set?

Boba Fett Cloud City, Lando Calrissian, Admiral Ackbar, and Greedo?

I was just looking at the Tantive IV in the complete cross sections star wars book and Leia actually does have an office but I'm sure she doesn't have the same desk as the chancellor, lol!!!!

Soooo the set is actually accurate HA!!!!

Hmm... It's a pity they didn't include the all-important corridor where half of the shots of the ship in the movie took place... An office? At least it looks like modding will be possible. It's wide enough, for sure...
