I see nothing wrong with the latest list, EVEN THOUGH I usually only get land vehicles/skimmers for the planet surface.

I would love an ARC-170 because I never bought the original, but I would love a Tri Droid instead of a Tri Fighter (of course).

The landspeeder would not interest me in any way unless it included tuskens, because I never bought the Ep.2 set with them in.

I suppose people could use the enclosed speeder as a backup to say it will be another Clone battlepack, so the speedere would be like the ones in the snowland place episode. First off, it is way to low to be a speeder. Probably some new random tank they thought up. :hmpf: LEGO like non-canon vehicles in battlepacks way too much. :hmpf_bad:

I wonder if a Land Speeder will appear in a CW episode set on Tatooine? Maybe a chance to get some new aliens or clone troopers. Maybe even a new jedi! :classic:

My thoughts/ hopes for these new rumors.

Not much to say about the BPs, as I am a CW/PT fan, I will probably only buy the Snowies and make them Galactic Marines, and possibly the Rebels if they have good pieces.

Droid Tri-fighter. I am actually really looking forward to this one, just so long as it is correctly sized. I don't really care if this one has figs, but a Battle Droid or two would be nice.

TIE Defender, same as the BPs, probably wont buy unless if has good figs, or is TFU. Rahm Kota and Starkiller would be nice.

ARC-170, another set I really am looking forward to. I will, however be disappointed if it doesn't have 3 CW style Clone Pilots. A new Astromech would be great as well. (Not the same 'ol red that we've been getting)

Luke's Landspeeder, this coule be anything at this point, as it was listed last, it will probably be $50-60, so I don't know what to expect.

The prices I think will be:

BPs: $9.99

Droid Tri Fighter: $19.99

TIE Defender: $19.99

ARC-170: $39.99

Luke's Landspeeder: $49.99

Disappointing, yes, as in not being Endor. But it's the anniversary of ESB after all, and besides, the two BPs together will have a much better value than that overpriced Echo Base. We will get twice the amount of troops, minus Han and the Tauntaun, for 4/5 of the price of the Echo Base.

Who says that there won't be an Endor BP in summer 2010, Oky Wan Kenobi?

Since we got the Echo Base set this year I never would have thought that we'll get any Hoth BPs next year - so it might even be that we'll get an Endor BP in summer 2010, too. :classic:

TIE Defender. Man :cry_sad: I really hope this is a mix up, and that it's a standard tie in new grey :cry_happy: .

I totally agree wit hyou, legoman!

I don't like CW - but the Lego CW sets are at least nicely designed. But look at the EU and TFU sets like the TIE Crawler and the Rogue Shadow - !

Last year there were two TIEs on the rumor list and we did this year "only" get Darth Vader's. So it may even be that this rumor is wrong.

But if the rumor is right I hope for a regular OT TIE Fighter in grey - which would be imo the nearest since we did get the Advance this year.

On the other hand you can never know - and like already mentioned I highly doubt that we'll see three or even four OT sets already in January.

All and all, doesn't sound very nice.

Why, legoman?

Keep in mind that this is only the first wave of sets - the summer sets and the exclusive set(s) aren't mentioned yet. :classic:

After several rumors and 2010 being 30th anniversary of TESB it is very likely that we'll see a new Cloud City as exlusive set in fall next year. And a new Slave is imo needed and very likely, too. Perhaps we'll even get some small location of the Echo Base - e. g. medical room and control center - but I doubt it.

Thanks Klaus-Dieter for the news  .

[...]

The Landspeeder sounds like the weirdest of the list. Why release a Landspeeder when they can release a new Twin Pod Cloud Car in conmemoration of the ESB anniversary???

You're welcome, darkrebellion. :classic:

This is a good question!

Possibly a midi-scale Twin Pod Cloud Car will be included in the highly supposably exclusive Cloud City set in fall - or we get the Twin Pod Cloud Car as a small regular set in summer.

Even think about that since TLG does not only release OT sets in 2010 not all possible sets for ESB can be made. Plus we want some more OT sets in 2011, don't we?

I'm hoping the Luke speeder set will include Ben's hut. I'm glad this wave seems to be a little smaller, since I have a lot of catching up to do.

That would be absolutely awesome  , WookieWarrior, but I regrettably highly doubt it since I think it will be a set more in the size and price class of this year's Echo Base or Vader's TIE Advanced. :cry_sad:

Hmmm.... Maybe it's a UCS Landspeeder? Maybe it includes Ben's hut, but then the set would probably be called "Luke's Landspeeder and Ben's Hut"..... Very strange.

As already mentioned an UCS version as a regulary set is imo totally unrealistic, RoflWafls.

As for its contents - like already mentioned - I would "only" expect Luke, Ben, two Tuskens, a Bantha, some rock pieces and of course the Landspeeder since I bet that it won't be a big set since the ARC Fighter will be 70 Euros/Dollars or even more.

But of course everything is possible.

Keep even in mind that this is a rumor list - meaning not all rumors on that list have to be true and the names are probably not the final set names.

I completely agree. Consider this:

(Recent) Endor sets might follow the same path as the Hoth sets are/ did. In 2007, the Echo Base set came out, which was the largest Hoth set to date. In 2009, a smaller Hoth set was released, and finally, in 2010, Hoth battle packs are here. Now, in 2009, the Endor Bunker came out (the biggest Endor set to date). So, I'm thinking that maybe next year, 2010, a smaller, non-BP Endor set will come out, and the following year (2011) there will be Endor battle packs.

This list sucks except for the BPs and the Tie Defender which I wanted ever since it became the workhorse of my Imperial fleet in Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. The only thing that could make this list better would be if the Tri Droid Fighter was meant to be the Tri Droid.

Posted (edited)

Well, I want to add my opinion of the list as well:

Battle Packs: Sounds promising, but I couldn't care less if it where "Clone Cold Assault Trooper" and "Droid Commando" battle packs.

TIE Defender: I hope this is true! Since I first saw the TIE Defender in EAW: Forces of Corruption, I fell in love with it.

It has such a unique shape and packs quite a punch. In conclusion: If this is true, it's a definite must-buy for me.

ARC 170 Starfighter: I already have the old one. I will most likely not buy it, but if it's greatly improved from the old one I might consider picking it up at a good price. :sceptic:

Droid Tri-Fighter: Same as the ARC 170. If true, I will most likely not buy it.

Luke's Landspeeder: Sounds kind of boring. Perhaps will include some tuskens and I bet TLC will manage to squeeze in some flick-fire missiles in this set.

In conclusion:

If this list is true, January 2010 will be less expensive for me.

I hope it will be a Tri-Droid, giving us a chance to get some 501st troopers at last. I wish LEGO had done that in the CATD. :sadnew: Hopefully it will come with a good selection of figures, and will be to scale. Lol if it is the small crappy version. Hasbro seem to make that mistake in the figure wave last year, and this year they a releasing a huge one.

The most likely three things which will change on the list or be removed are the Land Speeder, TIE Defender and maybe the ARC-170. There must be a TIE in this wave or next years because it has been on lists for ages. :hmpf_bad: Stop getting our hopes up! :sing:

TIE Defender: $19.99

That's being optimistic IMO. I think it'll be around the same as Vader's TIE Advanced: $25-30.

Who says that there won't be an Endor BP in summer 2010, Oky Wan Kenobi?

Nobody, but I highly doubt it since there have never been more than 2 BPs released per year. Releasing BPs in one wave and releasing another 2 right in the next wave would be an odd move by TLC.

JimButcher's theory is much more realistic IMO. I can certainly imagine that they release a smaller Endor themed set in summer, and then BPs next year.

But then again, that would break TLC's cycle of releasing PT BPs one year, OT ones in the next, and PT ones again in the year after that, etc...

Battle Packs: Sounds promising, but I couldn't care less if it where "Clone Cold Assault Trooper" and "Droid Commando" battle packs.

That would be so amazing though! :cry_happy: Too bad you wouldn't care for them. (Which is odd btw, seeing as your avatar says "clones rule".) :look:

About there not being any ESB sets on that list besides the BPs: As some have already said, there is still summer and the rest of the year.

At this point, I highly doubt that those are the official set names, they are probably preliminary. Whoever called it "Luke's Landspeeder" must've seem the Landspeeder as one of (if not the only) main components of the set. Seeing as we haven't had any normal small (non-BP) Star Wars sets in 4 years now, I'm sure that the set will be large...

If they do the TIE Defender, I would say it would be $40-50. :hmpf_bad: Three wings and a cockpit is large IMO, and LEGO seem to be raising prices these days.

Well I ment that more in a "I like both possibilities equally" kind of way, I didn't think it would sound that negative.

And you're right it would be amazing and it would also help us to add a bit more diversity to our clone armys, even though there's quite a lot of different Phase I troopers in the CW line already (Pilots, Gunners and the Commanders), we haven't seen many clones wearing an armor which differs from the Phase I charakteristics. (Senate Commandos are an example because their helmet are different from the normal clones)

So I would endorse TLC to produce Cold Assault Trooper and other interessting types of clones. (Maybe these clones with the wider helmets from the CW season 2 trailer, even though we don't know their purpose)

I agree. If something as large as a Hut were included, it would have been called something like "Luke's Hut", just like the last set with the Landspeeder was called "Mos Eisley Cantina" even though it included only a small corner of the cantina.

Therefore, it's either a UCS or a small set with the speeder as a main attraction.

Seeing as we haven't had any normal small (non-BP) Star Wars sets in 4 years now, I'm sure that the set will be large...

Or it simply means that the small non-BP sets are finally back! :sweet:

This is how I see it: It will probably be similar to the old TIE Interceptor, which was $20, plus an extra wing, making it $25, and considering the inflated prices these days, it might come up to $30. But I don't think it'll be more than that, unless there's something else included in the set.

Well I ment that more in a "I like both possibilities equally" kind of way, I didn't think it would sound that negative.

I see. That was a bad choice of words on your part then.

These ones? Nah, their helmets look too fat, and the helmets of the current clone minifigs already look a little big for their bodies. I'd prefer Cold Assault Troopers over them any day. They at least look cool. (pun unintended)

I don't find anything wrong with this list. That's a first. I'd love to have all of them. The Rebels seem to have a pilot- those I can always have more of, same with Snowtrooers. If any come with a Wampa, even bigger plus.

I'd like a Tri-Fighter, too. Mine was taken apart long ago, and, as some speculate, if it's an Octuptarra droid, that'll be even better.

I like the idea of the ARC-170 being remade. I wasn't so fond of the original, because it had too many holes.

TIE defender. :oh:

Landspeeder- well, we'll see.

The rumor 2010 sets seem alright to me. Im not that interested in EU sets so the TIE defender doesnt interest me that much to be honest. Id love a new tri fighter and arc 170 starfighter cause I didnt get the original ones so Id love a remake of them. Luke's landspeeder would be a pretty good set even if it just was the landspeeder and nothing else.

Well last year they said we were getting a TIE Defender, but that was wrong. A Tri-Droid instead of a Tri-Fighter would be good and there is a good chance there is going to be one or the other.

ARC-170 is great though I hope we get good clone pilots, and a new R2 or R4 unit.

I actually like this list! The Battle Packs I am pretty much obligated to buy, they're bound to be awesome. I would much prefer a Tri-Droid rather than a Tri-Fighter, but I'll pobably buy this either way. A TIE defender would be pure win. :sweet: I missed the first incarnation of the ARC-170, so a new one with three CW Clone Pilots would be very cool. I don't think TLC would release a System-scale Landspeeder, as we already have two. :sceptic: So, I'm hoping this is a smaller UCS set, with about 500-700 pieces, give or take. I would absolutely love that.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Oky Wan Kenobi.

With an Endor BP for next summer - which has imo a chance of 50:50 - I didn't mean the regular January BPs but a medium sized BP like this year's Echo Base set. It might include a speeder bike, a brick-built tree, some other foliage plants, some weapons, two Ewoks, an Endor Rebel Trooper/Endor Luke, a Scout Trooper and a Storm Trooper.

At all events I can't imagine that we'll get two Endor BPs - one for the Imperials and one for the Rebels/Ewoks - but I think that if we got one we'll get one in which Rebels/Ewoks as well as Imperials will be included.

The BPs are okay...

The Tri-Fighter better be built better than the last one...

The TIE Defender owns... :skull:

And the ARC-170 Starfighter is better! :vader:

Will have to see on the Landspeeder though...

Or it simply means that the small non-BP sets are finally back! :sweet:

:cry_happy: Music to my ears!...

PS: Jedi On! :skull:

BTW, Is it confirmed which side the rebel BP is on on the reference pics?
