pedro Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) So please stop talking about a new Tri-Fighter! I think the key here is in the name: Droid Tri-fighter. Not Tri-droid. Not Octuptarra Droid. Droid Tri-fighter! Both Droids have appeared in the Star Wars movies, whether one missed it's appearance in the series doesn't really matter. Sorry to break your chain of righteousness... but please don't kill yourself. I'd rather we'd got the Tri-droid too... and there's always the chance we still might! I noticed this few days back.. They've been constantly pushing the date back everytime it nears release, and now it's gone completely. Guess we're not getting it. Surprise, surprise. Well if you're up for a trip to LEGOland Windsor they have loads! That might not be of much help of course... sorry Edited August 12, 2009 by pedro Quote
Big Pete Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 the silver stromtrooper seems to be gone from S@H Europe. it's disappeared from Lego S@H worldwide ... I'm hoping it's just an issue with availability. I already have 1 but I wanted another couple ... Quote
Commander_Rob Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Well if you're up for a trip to LEGOland Windsor they have loads! So did the Lego store in Cologne where I went a few days ago, the exact date they were being released there. Quote

I already have 1 but I wanted another couple ...That's some crap, there.I have yet to get a single chrome fig yet, of any theme, and I was just going to order from S&H soon. I sure hope they keep producing them, and that they are just 'refilling' their stock for now. Quote
RileyC Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I wonder why they disappeared from the site. The chrome stormtrooper on the NZ S@H has been gone for quite a while. I love to get one Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 (edited) Some thoughts on the things that might be included in the 8092 Luke's Landspeeder set: Amazon says that it is (with package) 300 g weightly. The two BPs are each (with package) 100 g. Since the Rebel Trooper BP includes a vehicle that seems to be about that big as the Landspeeder but the whole set is only 1/3 that weightly than 8092 it's imo very likely that the Luke's Landspeeder set will not only include Ben, Luke and the speeder but even two Tuskens, a Bantha and some addiontal landscape - perhaps even Ben's hut and one of this little power plants (like in the Tusken Raider Encounter set from 2002) - that would be awesome! Penitent Tangent Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 C-3P0, please? He was in the speeder the whole time, there's no reason not to include him as well. Quote
Zzz Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I was crossing my fingers for an Endor-style Tatooine playset with Cantina, 10 minifigs AND a speeder. No chance for this now that we only get the speeder. Quote

Klaus-Dieter Let's not start going crazy! Here's what I think we get. It'll be a $30 set tops. 10 would be to small, and 20 would miss a lot of detail 40 would be looking at another Mos Espa Cantina! -One Landspeeder (Crossing my fingers for sand red!) -Luke, Obi-Wan, (Maybe C-3PO, Maybe a Couple of Tuskens) -Random playability feature -Air transvaporator thingie tower. -Bantha? (PLEASE?) All that together, we'd have around 365 pieces or so. I think the Bantha would look perfect in the style Lego just made the Taun-Taun in. It's pretty lifelike. Oh, and maybe we'd get a Gaderfii, those spear-club things that the Tuskens always use. Quote
Big Cam Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 C-3P0, please? He was in the speeder the whole time, there's no reason not to include him as well. I'd put money on it being a re-make of the original. Speeder Luke Ben C-3PO R2-D2 Quote
SWMAN Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Guys, please remember that all of this is very preliminary. We don't have any pictures or any confirmation that these names are even right. By the time we get official confirmation, I am guessing that at least 2 of those names will change. Quote
Tinn-man Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 -Random playability feature-Air transvaporator thingie tower. A "random playability feature" would be flick fire missiles, and I don't put it past LEGO to do that. Maybe they'll even be on the Bantha, too ( ). Either way, I think that we will get some kind of scenery, most likely a moisture farm evaporator. I expect this set to be like the echo base. 5 figures (Luke, Ben, 3PO, and 2 Tuskens), and animal (Bantha), a small ship/speeder (Landspeeder, Duh), and a small structure (Moisture evaporator do-dad). That's still being optimistic, but that would be the perfect set. Quote

Even better (even tough it's never going to happen) would be to also include a custom base plate and some sand coloured rocks so you could build up some scenery. And then add all the stuff you said, now that would be a good set . Quote
-JD- Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Hopefully there will be plenty of redesigns, so: new Tuskens, features, new pilots and scenary. I am wondering whether somebody on EB will be smart enough to turn the Bantha into a Woolie Mammoth. Quote

Bantha, Obi Wan, Luke, C-3PO, Two Tuskens, Speeder, Moisture vaporator! Quote

Mraz Skintas Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I would prefer Gaffi sticks over black muskets for the Tuskens anyday. My take on the Landspeeder: Luke Obi-wan R2-D2 C-3PO Two Tuskens with Gaffi Sticks and a Banthat All for aroudn $30USD Quote
DarthSion Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I thought the speeder was going to be the freeco one. Are you quoting my sig booger540 Quote
The Who Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I think it was Darth Legolas that said it, but somebody mentioned the Luke's Landspeeder set should have about 360 pieces, right? That would make it about $45 USD. Are you quoting my sig booger540Technically, if you want to put it like that. I will probably change it soon anyway, to reflect some MOCs I'm going to post. Quote
Oky Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I thought the speeder was going to be the freeco one. Not according to this list. Quote
DarthSion Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Fair enough. Oh so it is going to be both, wonder who will be with the freeco, i suppose it will be Rex, or maybe just random CAT, i hope its more than one. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I looked again at this list and noticed that there are three set numbers in between the first six sets and the Luke's Landspeeder set. So might it be that the first sets will belong to the regular January wave of SW sets whether Luke's Landspeeder might be a small exclusive set like e. g. this year's Ashoka's Starfighter? What do you think? Klaus-Dieter Quote
DarthSion Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I hope not, exclusives should be banned. Quote
