The SW Specialist strikes again!

I would much rather a new Space Trooper or Purge Trooper with the TIE Defender, considering they are EU. I wonder if the Purge Trooper would be brickbuilt.... The could easily make the Space Trooper. Stick a jetpack on a stormie with different printing on the torso and 'Voila'.

And I hope we will get a couple more igures with the ARC-170. Maybe a couple of ground troops and a Jedi? :cry_happy:

Dream on, muffin boy.

I hope for a new mould Talz in the Freeco Speeder. Bigger than a minifig. Maybe it could even be a sort of prototype for a Wampa!

Yay! I win!

We'd never get a spacetrooper. I just searched them because I've never even heard of them, and here's a rule of thumb, if they haven't been on TV or in a movie, and you've only seen them in a few comics and most pictures come from guidebooks, chances are no. But we are getting a TIE Defender, but still, it's just so dang cool!

By the way, I have a new theory for the Rebel Battlepack. We can clearly see from the below picture that the Snowtroopers have a speederbike...

But as for the Rebel Speeder, we could probably get one of the Rebel Ice Cutter Speeders. There was one in the hangar next to the snowspeeders in ESB and they were used to carve out the inside of Echo Base!

Almost contradictory. These ice cutter thing you speak of weren't really a major part of the film were they. I find that TLC only produce sets based of major events and stuff in the films, TV show etc. Or entirely new models based of concepts of other vehicles e.g Rebel Battlepack.

Knowing our luck, it'll be another ashoka R2 and Anakin

You mean the Talz? Or the senator default_sceptic.gif .

I meant the senator and her race of people (thanks to darth sion for the "technical" name).

You've got a point there, but I've got a point here. The Empire's got it covered with that lovely looking Snow Speeder  , but the Rebels never used any small scale vehicles during the Battle of Hoth.

Our two choices are a non-canon yet cool looking ship, or the perfectly BP sized ice cutter, which is at the least canon! SO why not take the one that actually exists? Not to mention there are plenty of places for flick-fires on that thing...

There. I edited my original post. Are you happy?

Yes. Well, not until you all see that it's really a Tri-Droid! Muahahaha!

OK  .

Maybe Rex:CAT, the senator and a Talz. I might be wishing too much for $9.99 USD.

BTW, I've seen that episode WAY too many times. Somehow I still enjoy, though  .

Don't get me wrong; I'd rather have a tri-droid/octupttara droid. It's just that I don't think someone could get it mixed up with a droid tri-fighter.

As for the Rebel Ice Cutter Speeder, I thought that these were supposed to be battlepacks. I can't really think of how a machine used for cutting giant igloos could put up much of a fight.

It worked for some wampa. I searched it on "star wars wiki".

Yes, in a cut seen of ESB, Luke was firing at a pack of Wampas. If it can cut through ice, I assume it can cut through people too, no?

Unfortunately, I doubt that we will get that much for 9.99. We haven't really seen any $9.99 USD sets for quite sometime (with the exception of battlepacks). If they include a figure of Rex, the senator, and a Talz, they would charge at the least $19.99. Personally, I think the best we could hope for is a Clone Snowtrooper (which I would very much like). I do love wishing sets would be cheaper, but we've got to be realistic as well.

Is the Rebel Ice Cutter Speed for real, or did you get it from Star Wars wikia? Did they have a good source themselves?

I said it was a possibility, not that it would happen. Plus, Wookiepedia is run by Star Wars officially and Star Wars.com, so there's no doubt if they had said that, which they didn't.

Unless I've missed something in the Clone Wars cartoon (and it's possible because I haven't watched them all yet, but then again there were no "Rebels"during the Clone Wars anyway) there is no such thing as a Rebel Ice Cutter in any canon or non-canon source.

There is no deleted scene with Luke firing at a pack of Wampas.

You're thinking of the Wampa Pen:

Wookiepedia is not run by Lucasfilm/Starwars.com. It's a fan run site.

Sorry to post a series of "you are wrong" replies but I wanted to set the record straight.

A confidential friend of mine heard from a Vedes (german toystore chain) employee that in January/February they will give away LSW Promosets consisting of an exclusive figure and a speederbike. He said he may gets a picture of the pack.

Oh my God! Rebel Ice Cutter! Laser Ice cutter, same thing!

Not to mention StarWars.com links directly to Wookiepedia and:

Behind the scenes

One of these units was briefly seen in the left corner of the screen when Han Solo rode into a hangar at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back. A cut scene also showed Luke Skywalker using a speeder of this type to fight off wampas.

Tell me now? And last but not least, please note we've confirmed that the BP's are NOT Clone Wars!

EDIT: Angy rampage over, Lego discussion can resume now.

Or, the ice cutter could be discussed, in the future sets thread as an "i wish" thing.

What happened to your just made "I wish the BP would be from TFU?"

Oh id love it if it turned out the Hoth BP were tie ins to the Hoth mission for TFU:USE.

Well we can't confirm they're not CW until we see clearer pics. For example the so called Imperial pack could be something to do with those snow trooper clones and the other one could be a droids pack. the orange figure could unlikely as it may sound be one of those rocket droids.

We can't officially confirm that they are OT yet, but everything points to it, not to mention the orange figure cannot be a droid, as we can clearly make out a normal minifig body.

Even the CW label points to OT, because of the midi falcon!

Is that it on the left? :look: Looks a little grey compare to the prelim.

I never knew Leia was a stuntwoman.
