Shompis Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Do not know if this is just exclusive to a store, but when I bought Battle Of Endor today I got the key chain chrome mini figure and the LEGO classic shoulder bag for free. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Could this be your promo?http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/NavyTroo.../bike-promo.jpg It was in your Brickshelf. No, I made this a year ago just for fun. I uploaded it as a vague picture of what we can await for another website. I will look if I can get something more clear about it. It shouldn´t take more than three or four days. Quote
CaptainRex110 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Will this promo be available in the US? Quote
Legoman Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 A confidential friend of mine heard from a Vedes (german toystore chain) employee that in January/February they will give away LSW Promosets consisting of an exclusive figure and a speederbike. He said he may gets a picture of the pack. This, prehaps? It would make sense, and i've been wondering what this thing could be ever since the first sighting weeks ago Quote
The Rancor Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 This, prehaps? It fits - after all a STAP is a battle droid speederbike and a droid is (apparently) a minifigure. Quote
GoN2Broadway Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Although it appears that the new Battlepacks will be OT due to: Title on the Amazon site, Packaging (although, of the new OT sets, the only one that is the Clone Wars packaging is the Midi Falcon, whereas the Endor and Home One sets are OT packaging), and assumption of snow troopers and "orange suited minifigs" which automatically are assumed to be rebel pilots, I did have a thought. We saw that we are getting a Freco speeder bike, which was featured in one of the Clone Wars cartoons, it could be that the new battle packs would supplement the Freco speeder bike (I am assuming the Freco bike will be Clone Wars). Although, this would assume that Lego would have thought of this (and isn't necessarily something that has happened before), it could be that the battle packs might end up being Clone Wars Snowtroopers to add playability to the Freco speeder bike set. I personally would really love some Clone Wars Snowtrooper helmets! I must say, I am excited for when pictures of them will be revealed (that aren't blurry past the point of insanity)! Quote

And to be smartassy: There are no Snowtroopers in the CW; only Cold Assault Troopers. Quote
Commander Assassin Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I believe there is one thing that all of us our forgetting about packaging: every set released in January 2010 is going to have the clone wars packaging, instead of the classic packaging released last year with most OT sets because that packaging was exclusive to 2009 because it was Lego SW's 10th anniversary. Considering that, what amazon said, TLG's pattern with PT/OT release of BPs, and the probable release of the Freeco (which would have surely been the vehicle for the clones if the BPs were PT), I believe that it is safe to say that the new battlepacks are Hoth OT. Quote
RileyC Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I like the idea of little sets but they have to be released everywhere to make everyone happy not just in The US or europe. I hope they make exclusive minifigs for these but thats probably not going to happen. I think this is a good move by lego cause we havent had small sets in ages! Quote

squishmark Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Try Episode IV, the FIRST MOVIE? the imperial dropship is in episode 4: a new hope when the stormtroopers are dropped down to search for R2-D2 and C3P0. and darth vaders tie is also in episode 4 in the death star scene... Quote
Darth Legolas Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) And Galactic Marines. Hopefully the STAP will be from the AT-TE! It better be. The other one from the battlepack is pretty bad, even though it is more accurate. I modded my brown to go with my blue. Also, I'm wondering what would make the Battle Droid exclusive. Would it be too much to dream for on of those Tank BD's with the green army shades all over them? Or maybe at least a red security droid cuz' I need some of those? Off Topic: I was about to say I'm missing something as I posted this but then I read the post about the STAP! Edited August 24, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Matiam92 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I think it was Darth Legolas that said it, but somebody mentioned the Luke's Landspeeder set should have about 360 pieces, right? That would make it about $45 USD.Technically, if you want to put it like that. I will probably change it soon anyway, to reflect some MOCs I'm going to post. but not if you go by $.10 a peice Quote
Derek Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 but not if you go by $.10 a peice True, but if you go by Lego's markup on special or limited edition sets, it seems about right. Out of all the sets, the Landspeeder is the one I'm looking forward to the most. I hope its reasonably priced and is a good set. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 (edited) More rumours for next years sets.. 8093 - Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter 8089 - Wampa Attack 8095 - General Grievous' Starfighter 8096 - Palpatine's Shuttle 8097 - Slave I 8098 - Clone Turbo Tank This also points out that the landspeeder will include mini-figs of Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2 and a Sandtrooper. http://www.jedinews.co.uk/default.aspx Edited August 24, 2009 by Penitent Tangent Quote

Palpatine's Shuttle - Would this be the same as an Imperial Shuttle I wonder? I don't remember the Chancellor toting around in a shuttle during the clone wars. Slave I - Boba or Jango is the big question, I guess. I can't see it being Jango's, since LEGO doesn't seem to be making anymore Attack of the Clones sets, but we've already had two Boba Slave Is (the last one not that long ago). I would get one if this is real, since I missed 6209. Clone Turbo Tank - Sweetness Quote
doctordark Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Plo Koon's starfighter Wampa attack General Grievous' starfighter another one? Palpatine's shuttle Slave 1 hopefully clonewars clone turbo tank i missed the first one Overall sounds pretty good hope it's real Quote

I hope it is Jango's, but if it is not, I want Boba to have the Cloud City printing. As for the turbo tank, I hope that it will come with a new clone commander. (Bly?) In answere to Drock's question, either Palpy's shuttle will make an appearance in season II, or we can expect it is the one from Ep. III. I couldn't care less about G. G's. starfighter, because I got the old one and I don''t think we need a remake. Unless, of course, we get a new Grievous! I am not that excited about the Wampa Attack because the only new thing I can expect is a Wampa. (which I don't care about) I have to say, none of these sets jump out to me saying "buy me!". But I will be excited to see the out come of the figs in turbo tank and slave I. Edited August 24, 2009 by Clone Commander Assassin Quote
Bob Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I hope it is Jango's Slave I, mostly because my Jango is from the pen. It is also a great chance to get an Imperial Shuttle, which I assume is Palpatine's shuttle. Quote

Penitent Tangent Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter This one seems quite obvious, we already have a Plo Koon figure from the Gunship, all they need to do is put him in a slightly modified version of Ahsoka's. I can see a lot of people complaining that we're getting another one, but I love the ships.. Although I'd prefer to see some Interceptors, and an Ayla Secure or CW Kit Fisto. Wampa Attack This is another obvious one, a lot of people have been waiting one for quite a while, and I imagine this will be another smaller set, similar to the Echo Base. Sounds good to me. General Grievous' Starfighter This one sticks out quite a bit.. I believe we had this one just back in 2007. I can only assume this will be a Clone Wars version, which I'd at least look forward to. I'm not sure how others feel, but I thought the current Grievous minifig was awful. A more detailed one would be nice. Palpatines shuttle I don't know what to expect from this one, it's a cool design and it'll be a cheaper way to get the Palpatine figure, but I couldn't even guess what it would come with, other than generic guards/droids. Hopefully they do something a little cooler with it. Slave I Personally, I'm hoping this is Boba Fett's. I know it was done not too long ago, but it was a popular set. Boba Fett, Han in carbomite and some cloud city guards. I wouldn't mind if it's Jango's either though, they could do a little Jango vs Obi-wan battle and throw in little Boba and some Kaminoans. Clone Turbo Tank Very cool vehicle, I imagine it'll just come with a few standard clones and maybe a Jedi General. Aayla Secura.. please? Quote

The Who Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm not sure how others feel, but I thought the current Grievous minifig was awful. A more detailed one would be nice. The head is really good, but the rest of it kind of stinks.Just saw this list on Jedinews before reading on EB, and this looks interesting. (Not necessarily good) I'm wondering how they might pull off a Wampa, without it looking just like the Adventures Yeti. It can't possibly be Clone Wars, (Maybe it can, knowing TLG ) and the horns certainly won't be flick-fire missiles, so it would probably turn out pretty good overall. Quote

The one thing I don't understand is why everyone is so hyped up about the Wampa . Maybe it's just that I'm not all that interested in creatures. (except dewbacks) Quote
