ADHO15 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I can tell you about second part sets, do you want to learn? Have you seen the Pirate Tank and Echo Base? What do they include? Do you agree with The Penguin's descriptions? What's the Separatist Shuttle and Snail Tank like? Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Yes, yes we want to learn!!!! Quote
ForceMaster Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ADHO15 Thanks for the question)) Yes, I saw a Hoth Base, but didn't see Pirate Tank (because it's Limited Edition?) . It's brilliant set! Anniversary box. Include big tower-turrel with wires and a trench.2 mini-figures hoth rebels, one hoth stormtrooper with minigun and one without. And, of course, Han Solo on a tauntaun : Great snow-troopers batlle-pack. 155 pieces. I agree with The Penquin, but I wish to leave the notes on some sets : 1. 8036 : Separatist Shuttle - good figures, but a Shuttle whery small, as new Venator. 2. 8038 : The Battle of Endor - MUST HAVE SET FOR EVERY SW FAN! 12 figures - Han (as in 10188), new Leia, R2-D2 (as in 10188), Death Star trooper, Chewbacca, 2 new forest rebels, 2 imperial scouts and 3 great ewoks! Large bunker, small trees, catapult, two speeders, ewok's glaider and good AT-ST (as pedro's MOC, but Technic legs). 890 pieces. 3. 8037 : Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter - in this set mixed 10134 and 7658, with the impregnation of the yellow. More then 7658. 3 figures - Ani, Ashoka and R2-D2. Any questions?) Quote

Mr Spielbrick Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Han (as in 10188) He's not wearing a trench coat, then? I'd love to see TLC tackle that one... But hey, a classic outfit Han Solo is cool in my books. I still need one! The sets you describe sound amazing! Thanks for all the info, ForceMaster! Sounds like 2009 will be a fantastic year for Original Trilogy collectors. Quote
ADHO15 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Thanks for answering my questions ForceMaster. Sorry, but I have more questions Is the bunker a whole building or just a door like the Hoth Base? What playability factors can you see on the Separatist shuttle and is there a cockpit? What figs are included? What about the NR-N99 Tank Droid, Home One Cruiser and Mid-scale Falcon? Have you seen them? Thanks again. I'll try to stop bothering you now. ForceMaster Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Mr Spielbrick In prelim. version he looks like usual, but it's only prelim. version. Thanks you too) Quote
KimT Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 What bunker? Echo Base? Because that set does not have a bunker. The Endor set features what seems to be an awesome bunker, considering the piece count. Quote
rcpeck Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) edit: quote removed. Picture snipped by request. Sry Am I crazy, or do the grays appear different here? I'm somewhat color blind so I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. Edited January 10, 2009 by KimT Quote

It'll no doubt contain computers and things for the Death Star Trooper. Quote
ForceMaster Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ADHO15 Bunker not height, but it's very length and width, volume. In SS I can saw only opening trap. Figs - Nute Gunray, three battle droids and character-who-seat-in-AAT (in prelim. version looks like Gammorean). In TC six sets only - Echo Base, Tank Droid, Y-wing, Shuttle, Endor and Venator. KimT Yes, bunker has very awesome. Quote

Do you mean Whorm Loathsome? Are you sure it wasn't Onononda Farr, the Rodian Senator? What figs are included in the Tank Droid? Quote
Bricks Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Some other questions: ForceMaster! -Which minifigures got the S. Shuttle? -Are the tank droid like the penguin said..? Bricks Quote
ForceMaster Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ADHO15 Sorry, I don't see Clone Wars... In Tank Droid we can see two battle-droids and ywo clones on a jet-packs Bricks In Shuttle are 5 figures - Nute, 3 battle-droids and one person (I don't know who is it) TD smaller than it's version in the Wookie Attack. I agree with The Penquin. Quote

Zzz Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 thanks a lot for the info and greetings to freezy moscow, Force Master!! I really hope that the Hoth figures will be a bit renewed, the helmet on the rebels is so not accurate, 10 years old - and I have enough of them already. The same with the Snowtroopers! And leave away the standard smile face on the troops finally, TLC! You do that in any other theme, in any other licence - and this is star WARS! Endor has to give us a few new figs, like Leia and the Rebels, and I as far as I understood Force master the Ewoks will be new as well..! Good to hear that! Another AT-ST is always welcome, I really liked the last one a lot but it didn't move.. Zzz out! Quote
SkyOtic Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Is it me, or don't i see a Luke minfig in those minifig lists of hoth and endor sets? Quote
ADHO15 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Is it me, or don't i see a Luke minfig in those minifig lists of hoth and endor sets? Luke wasn't present during the Battle Of Endor and I guess LEGO thought we'd had enough of Luke in OT sets - which I have! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Well, it's official! The venator is... the venator. Many thanks again and again to halomaster96, who's genius editing helped me see the good side of the set! Though that little bit of dark bley still ticks me off! ADHO15 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser Item ¹: 8039 Pieces: 1,169 Minifigures: Palpatine, Senate Commando (Two), Clone Trooper (Two) †^ Price: AU $230 (approx US $115) Released: August 2009 Theme: Star Wars, The Clone Wars I found this description on MOCpages. I don't know how reliable it is but it suggests a much more reasonable price. I just thought you'd like to know. Quote

I don't know how reliable it is but it suggests a much more reasonable price.I just thought you'd like to know. Sounds perfect to me! And if there are that many pieces in the Venator, it'll make up for the slightly off design! This Venator is turning out to be heaven!!!!! Quote
LEGOscum Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Luke wasn't present during the Battle Of Endor and I guess LEGO thought we'd had enough of Luke in OT sets - which I have! Yes he was. He was on the Death Star II. The space battle was as much part of the BoE as the skirmish at the bunker. Quote

This Venator is turning out to be heaven!!!!! Well you've certainly changed your tone! I agree. With a higher piece count like this, I think there could be a good interior and playability factors included. Yes he was. He was on the Death Star II. The space battle was as much part of the BoE as the skirmish at the bunker. But the space battle isn't included in the set, is it? And he didn't fight in the battle, he was duelling on the Death Star. Edited January 9, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
Colonel Bulstrode Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I think the Seperatists Shuttle will be $40-30. In the newest Clone wars episode Anakin and Obi-wan hop in one so you might only get Anakin and Obi-wan It might be a pretty cool build though! A Cross Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I believe the "difference in dark greys" is simply light reflecting off the 2x6 plate and the 4 wide plate is in shadow from the control tower. Quote
