I hope it will be a minifig scale Falcon with an interior and not some kind of an oversized mini model.

Although I highly doubt that there even will be a Millenium Falcon in late 2009. :sceptic:

According to the rumors (posted in the first post of this topic), we will get a Millenium Falcon.

And the mid-scale indicates that it'll be scaled as the other released non-UCS Millenium Falcons.

Don't mix the idea of UCS with that of the regular system (minifig scale).

We'll never see a UCS set with interior.

They're not meant to be played with.

Exceptions within the 10000-numbers would be the Death Star and Cloud City playsets.

But they're not "true" UCS sets anyways.

It's very interesting that the mid-scale MF as well as the Home One plaset disappeared on the list of Kiddiwinks. But I remember the mid-scale MF being I think about 40 Euros. And at this price a regular MF like we saw in 1999 and in 2004 is absolutely impossible!

So either the price on Kiddiwinks was wrong or we might get some sort of bigger mini-Millenium Falcon which comes with some/one additional minifigs. Imo a bigger mini-version would make absolutely no sense. In the other hand there are already so many and even big and expensive sets this year that a regular minifig-scaled MF sounds a bit unrealistic.

I don't know. :sceptic:

I guess you're right

Does the CW feature something that resembles a MF?

Say in Droid Gunship size?

Or perhaps we're getting what should be called a "microscale" MF.

That would be neat - and fit right in on the shelf next to the two previously released, the mini and the UCS

I really hope the Venator rumours are true but with the pictures, i kind of don't, due to the innacurate designs.

Goodmorning to you

I suggest reading back and forth in this topic.

There's more than one hint wether this is real or not.

I disagree. He is not prominently featured, and Adi Mundi desrves way better than him.But I agree a bit with Aayala Secura, if she makes appearances in this show.

Yes, indeed she does. The next episode, Jedi Crash, she is a main character, and will be in the episode after that.

@The Crazy One: You've gotta be kidding me. TLG confirmed this! That means it's no longer a rumor, and hasn't been! I'm starting to wonder if anyone reads on this site anymore. At least I know four that don't. *Cough Cough Solar Sailor Cough Cough*

Speaking of which, is it Sailor or Sailer? I'm pretty sure we decided in December, but since then TLG has named it differently.

It's Solar Sailer. TLG calls it this on Shop@Home ( ha  ) and it's called that on Wookieepedia.

I've pre-ordered mine. :classic: (Joking)

I hope it's close to the size of the other minifig-size ones but I doubt it will be. I missed them both and the UCS one was too big and expensive (not a price rant). I probably won't get it if it's to scale with the TIE Advanced x1 from the Death Star set. MINIs don't interest me. Still hoping, however.

btw. I've not seen or heard anything about it being featured in the Clone Wars series.

A bit late but nevertheless: Thank you very much for the pic of the RSD, legomilk! :sweet:

Although I'm really no CW fan (I really did not like the movie which was shown last summer in cinema - ) I must say that I really  that RSD!

Supposably that's because all the big and harmonic designed vehicles have a big emission!

The Palpatine minifig and the two Senate Guards look really  with there corny and crude colors - but since this should be a CW set this has to be like that. :sceptic:

Although this RSD really looks :oh: I surely won't buy this set since I don't collect non-OT sets in the Lego SW theme.

Dark Brickz, I highly doubt that TLG will release a minifig-scaled version of the RSD and an UCS version in the same year - that would be totally counterproductive!

But I have no clue which UCS set TLG will release this year - difficult to say since it might be a vehicle or a character and from CW or OT. :sceptic:

I could well imagine that the rumours for a minifig-scaled Tantive 4 (which we heard a while back) were right since this vehicle is - at least since the release of the minifig-scaled ISD - really, really needed and it would be a perfect 10-years-set! But if it is released I hope that it won't cost as much as 10188 or the UCS MF!

Btw: Do you think that the Mon Calamari Cruiser set will be announced at the US toy fair only without pics (which would make absolutely no sence since we already know the set name, the set number and a circa price) or with pics?

Klaus-Dieter

Two rebel minifig palayset ships in the same year? That would simply be bad marketing.

Yes, indeed she does. The next episode, Jedi Crash, she is a main character, and will be in the episode after that.

Sailor is omeone who sails. In this case, it is sailer. It's a made-up word so Lucasfilm would not have to use the word sailboat.

Or maybe we have had so many MFs that they have to call it something different.

eg the old AAT was called AAT battle tank and the new one is called Armored assult tank

The AAt was sort of fluid, for they were the same thing. Th MF really has one name, and if it were changed, we would hate that set, especially OT fans.

I agree on the microscale. If TLG had to make the Venator in minifigure size, it would be very large. it needs to house room for squadrons of V-19 torrents, gunships, and AT-Te's. not to mention troopers as well. No i think it will be more like the ISD.

I have a feeling that if Lego is ready to release preliminary pictures for the new Space theme, then we should see some new pics for Star Wars soon.

They didn't release them, someone else did. And we did get the picture of the Venator! Does anyone even care anymore now that it's old news? Don't you forget that's OUR leak. Every theme fan gets their own single leak. Either they get multiple cruddy pictures or one amazingly high-quality one.

Space Police: They got good pics, but really just multiple zooms of one shot.

Bionicle: Whoever took those photos, needs to learn how to work a camera!

Castle: All I can see is the Castle symbol and blurry green stuff.

Star Wars: A great, but single picture.

Now, back on topic. Every year, we always get the Summer 2009 set list, that's always missing at least one or two sets that come out as super-hard-to-find exclusives. Remember in 2005 they made the Ultimate Space Battle?

Well, my theory is, since in 05 and 07, they made JSF's of all the prime colors, red, yellow, and blue (Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Kit Fisto), i think they should make a blue with white striped type of the current JSF, the Delta-7B. They might to, possibly including Aayla? But either way, that's all just a thought.

how about green. we have nothing in green from SW theme in a long time. make commander gree, yoda and other green jedis and vehicles.:tongue:

I think many fans, although pleased about an Aayla fig, would be disappointed that they would get Plo Koon's starfighter without him in it. People who can't afford a gunship would perhaps rather have Plo Koon.

A plain blue Delta-7B with Aayla, however...

I totally agree with you, KimT!

I, too, thought about the new MF being about the same size like the Droud Gunship since this firstly would show that it is no mini-modell and secondly TLG could add some mini-interior to it. Some/One minifig(s) could be added to the set in a polybag (like with the TIE Advanced) or may even be in the box.

Nevertheless it would be a shame if the MF isn't minifig-scaled. :cry_sad:

I totally agree with you, ADHO15!

A MF which is not in minif-scale would be  !

I luckily bought the last version of the minifig-scaled MF in 2004. But if the new MF would be in minifig-scale and come with new (in no other sets this year available) minifigs and great accessory I would perhaps sell the old one and buy the new one. But only when this would be the case. :sceptic:

But nevertheless I must say that we have to await three great OT sets this year (to judge from what we've heard until now - pics did unluckily not arrive yet  ) - the Echo Base, the Battle of Endor and the Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser set. Plus there perhaps will be a minifig-scaled exclusive Tantive 4 (if you believe the rumours which I do). So actually nothing to complain about - even if the MF might be  !

It would be around a quarter of a mile long. Still, that would be SO awesome, but SO expensive. $1,000,000 perhaps? Imagine all the features, vehicles, minifigures and accesories would be included! (probably 7 minifigs with one blaster each and a mid scale V-19 Torrent :laugh: )

Anyway, I hope the Venator includes an escape pod, except it is redesigned so it has a window and door. That would increase the playability and value a bit.

I dont. I think they should be more creative than a escape vessel. Like lots of people have said: interior and mini scale vehicles.

Maybe not that long.

And even if the pod just opened on a hinge, that would be a lot better than just splitting in two.

Hopefully increasing value wouldn't mean increasing price also.

I can pretty much flat out bet that there'll be an escape pod, and I'm totally fine with that. I really hope we get the escape pods like in most episodes of the Clone wars, round with a TIE cockpit, four engines, and enough room for 2 when "mid-scaled." It'd be good for playability, and alikeness with the actual ship. So the plan would be, an escape pod in the front of the inside (possibly what that knob's for,) then Palpy's little office with the two senate commandos, and we put the two Clones in the escape pod. Then, the thing will hopefully be loaded with features, maybe a bomb-dropper, and a knob or button to release multiple flick missiles. Then in the back, there should be around 6 engines, each with blue jets coming out, possibly bley versions of all-plastic wheels and such, then of course there will be a hatch so you can lift off the top and see inside, and also in the corner rectangle between the front "wings" and the back two "wings," we'll get a little rounded off rectangular design made to look like the real thing, but actually a door large enough for minifigs of a weapon stash. There isn't much room for anything on the top as far as I can see, though it looks like there is a random hatch in the slope up to the two towers large enough for a minifig, and possible features in the back. Oh, and I just looked closely, on both sides there are four gunning turrets, 8 in all, and each fires a light-bley-tipped flick missile or two. (Probably one though.)

As for why I think about the slope hatch, there are two dark-bley studless technic beams, possibly so you can pull a square out like on an RGS.

EDIT: there might be room for figs in the back two wings aswell, seeing as it looks like the side coverings pull back and you can stuff people inside, which is also what you can do on the real thing.

Actually I wouldn't mind one of those Escape Pods you described Darth Legolas, but I'm just plain sick of the ones we usually get, I hope we do get a miniature Palpy's office (Because it seems we are getting a home one as the fan choice :sadnew:) and hopefully a hologram table of some sort, I don't have high expectations seeing the size of the preliminary picture but hopefully they can do something great with it.

Actually the minifig scale would be exactly 11.37 metres. Maybe ten thousand for that (just kidding, much more than that!), using the minifig-human scale system which I devised (assume minifig is supposed to be 2 metres tall, and a hatless one is 2cm tall. Divide actual dimension by a facotr of 100).

Well now that a great idea Darth Legolas  . I think an escape pod like that would be great in all aspects cause it is actually real (Not like the one in the ISD and the MF which are totally false), also it is a great looking "ship" . I really don

Finally a tauntaun.... but Hoth Han for the third time? Where is Luke?

And I really hope the Rebel Soldiers don't have the classic smile face, it just doesn't work anymore. The Yavin 4 Troopers had so much better faces..!

I'm happy with the Han, I have the one from 6212 and really like the one with hood and tan legs that came in 4504. Instead of getting him of bricklink I'm just getting this set with a tauntaun, snowies, and rebels. I do agree with you on the smiles. I also like the old Hoth rebel legs.

If we do get a Han with a hood I will be thrilled.

I don't own a hood so it will be very useful.

Same here, I'm trying to get all of the fleshie Hans

I think they may put a trans-blue cone on Palpy's desk, and hopefully, yet doubtfully with a pattern on it showing a person, like Mace Windu, or a random Senator. And I agree withyou, the other escape pods were random, but this particular escape pod was used multiple times during the Clone Wars, and we know what it should look like too!

I could do without an escape pod - why not use the space, give us something new

How about a sick bay, an armoury - what about a conference room?

A bit of inspiration wouldnt hurt - the Venator is quite small, an escape pod would take up most of the space

Posted (edited)

Pics of the escape pod!

Pod_1977.jpg

Here's the interior, but it'll be scaled down, hopefully for at least two, all lined up in a row. (I'll mod the spinny chair if the escape pod is there! )

bts02.jpg

Four jets in the back, possibly these pieces?

6233.jpg

And a TIE cockpit!

30366px2.jpg

And it'll have small techic holes to drop from the trans-purple pin we cee on the side. It should be tall enough, I think. Maybe the escape pod's in the back. Though it could be super scaled down and the front could be this:

Personally I prefer the small window piece  . The other one is too bulky and very difficult to get the correct shape with that too. In the other side the small one can do for an small escape pod that can perfectly fit in the Venator. Also I don´t think the TLC would put something like a conference room cause that would be a bit boring for kids but an escape pod would be perfect for them cause they (And we  ) can swoosh it around and around when got it  .
