legopiotre Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 They look so great, I hope it will be easy to get them. The Endor set is really a must-have with so many minifigs and good buildings . I am looking forward to getting better and more detailed pictures. I was wondering whether to get the 2007 AT-ST, but seeing how good the new one is, I am sure I will save my money for this set. SWMAN Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Didn't even notice the "Confidential" written all over it. Too amazed by the sets. I am going to hold off final judgement on the Rebel troopers in the Endor set for now until we see better pictures, but if I had to comment I would say that their green is too much like the Kashykk trooper from a few years ago. I think and hope that I will be proven wrong though. Quote
RoflWafls Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I'm going to hold off on the Hoth set (I already bought the other Hoth set), but I'm SO going to buy the Endor set! It has 890 pieces, so I have a feeling it may be 80 U.S dollars. (Temple of The Crystal Skull had 930 and it was 80 dollars). Sorry Euro friends, but I don't know how much it will be over the pond. But we finally get a orange hooded Wicket, flesh normal Han Solo in a afforable set(I'll probaly swap his legs so their the Cantina ones), a new R2 in a afforable set, a new Leia, but I don't see any Death Star Troopers like Penguin said, but mayby their in the bunker. I'm also not to found of the Endor rebels for some reason...... Quote
L-space Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 After the long wait finally some(illegal) pictures and they look very promissing. I can't wait to see beter ones. no matter what they are in the wish list definitly now. how some of you can get details out of these pictures amazes me. When I enlarge them an Endor troopers head is just three pixels large in a blur of green. However the next stage waiting begins... go for the details! Quote
greedo Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 the endor set with the bunker is great but i expected the endor platform where the imperiall shuttle landed too. ok it has a lot of minifigs and the speeders and the at-st as well as the ewoks glider but all of the except the bunker itself was available in older sets so its no use for me in buying it. The only reason to buy this set would be the endor bunker and the rebel minifgs. i love the hoth set, so i will buy 2 of them at least because when i don´t buy the endor set i can buy 2-4 hoth sets and i love to have more tauntauns, cannons and minifigs. General Magma Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Wow! Normally I don't buy many OT sets but these are must-haves! OMG GUYS THIS IS SO GREAT! I SEE A THIRD EWOK IN THE GLIDER! And what is that in the AT-ST? Brown thing above? A FOURTH EWOK?!?! I hope for an interior in the bunker, to make it have alot of play-ability! Edited January 15, 2009 by General Magma Quote

Markypops Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I can easily see me buying multiple sets of these. Gotta have a few taun-tauns! Maybe even see at least one Hoth set in 2010, for LEGO to reuse the mold. Quote

CopMike Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Looking back at the beginning of the thread, there's this:7749 Echo Base™ Pieces: 155 Price: 37 EUR / ? USD / ? GBP Minifigs: 2 Snowtroopers, 2 Hoth Rebels, Tauntaun, Han Solo Release: Summer 2009 That's what, $50 USD? That doesn't seem right. Has the price been confirmed...? m19 I guess about $25.CopMike Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I guess about $25.CopMike Unfortunately, it probably will be thirty dollars. The taun taun mold must have been expensive. Quote

Clonecommando007 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Has anyone else noticed that the hoth rebel troopers helmets are different than the old pilot ones? We have a new mold people!! Quote
Morgan19 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Sorry about that. But no deeplinks of illegal pics. They do look awesome though Belated apologies– I'd asked another staff member and explained that the faint "confidential" watermark didn't show up on my monitor until someone had pointed it out. I offered to remove them and would've, if asked to do so. m19 Quote
Bricks Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) I still guess $25.CopMike Yes, of course. I agree with your idea CopMike. Such a set is ''just'' a little bigger Battle Pack. ...30$ ..would be very improper! Has anyone else noticed that the hoth rebel troopers helmets are different than the old pilot ones? We have a new mold people!! The pictures are a bit to small, so it could be possible. But remind this pictures are prelim. so TLC often add another little details later on. My arguments about the two set's: 7749 Echo Base: A great addition to the older Hoth Base (7666). I love especially the new taun-taun, which looks really impressive. 8038 The Battle of Endor: Man..what for a bombastic OT set ...TLC maked her job very successful, the bunker look's great (on the picture it look's like if he's at the back opened), and the new minifigures are awesome, too. Especially the Rebel Soldiers and Ewoks! So another great year for LEGO-Fan's begun... Greetings Bricks Edited January 15, 2009 by Bricks Quote

Thanks KimT for taking care of that for me. Morgan19 acted with the utmost responsibility in this matter and I was very happy to have received the PM about it. Quote
Bobskink Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 if these new sets are the real deal, it will be the first time in several years that I want to buy a set more than once. Although the Tauntaun looks a little big, a little disapointed there, it doesn't look that lego. Quote

Sir von Lego Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) Hey Guys, here we are: Pics of the new sets 7749 Hoth echo base: Sorry I didn't read the last three sites and missed out that we already posted the pics and removed them... I think, they are just cool! greetings Hendrik Edited January 15, 2009 by Sir von Lego Quote
General Magma Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 If the Echo Base is not too overpriced, then I might buy two of them so I have two Taun Taun's, one for Luke one for Han. Sadly I can't see any sign of Luke in the set..I hope they throw in Luke too! Quote
