The Rancor Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 There is a price list in the first post... That doesn't stop me from maiing my own guesses I hope there's more like this from the toy fair! Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I really hope TLC doesnt over price the shuttle. I really want it, and 30 USD is an appropriate price. What do you think gunray is wearing on his head? Maybe a new piece? Quote
-JD- Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Just saw the new pictures and I am very impressed. Shuttle- Looks good but hopefully will have an interior. I expect there will be a Nute Gunray. Y-Wing- The design is poor, and the figures are bad choices. It should of had two clone pilots. Tank- Totally awesome! I am getting three of those! Hopefully the clones will have the 501st legion markings. Endor Bunker- GREAT set. I love the figures, especially the new ewoks. The AT-ST looks good too. Hoth Base- Neat little set. I like the detail on the bunker and the amount of figures is fine. Loving the Taun-Taun. I cannot wait to see pictures of the Pirate Tank, if it is released. What a happy day! JD Quote
Bob Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 The figure/set I really want to see is Admiral Ackbar/Home One. Besides that, Those new sets look good, except for the Y Wing...(shudders) Quote
KimT Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 I am puzzled as to why you guys like the Tank Droid. In my opinion it's the worst of the upcoming sets. It's small and the deisgn leaves me nothing but a sour stomach I love the "old" version and this one could have been great. It's just so small... I am really happy about the other sets though. Quote
SWMAN Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Overall, the CW sets aren't that appealing. I don't like how all they include are clones and droids. Not enough creativity. Quote
Bricks Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Great new set's! I love all of them, especially the new Endor-Playset and the Y-Wing, yes I think it is one of best designed Star Wars Set's (Well figures in this argument barred). The Box design is great, too. So well done TLC for this set's. My opinion about the european prices: 7748: Tank Droid: 25.99 Euro 7749: Echo Base: 25.99 Euro 8036: Seperatist Shuttle: 35.99 Euro 8037: Y-Wing: 65.99 Euro 8038: Endor Bunker: 119.99 Euro 8039: Venator: 139.99 Euro -Yes, this prices are high, but this is still since a few years.- Greetings Bricks Edited January 16, 2009 by Bricks Quote
captainrex66 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 New pictures. There awsome. I love them. Woo Hoo.http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=362690 Man nice find . I love all those new clone wars sets especially the separatists shuttle . It is a dissapointment that the venator only comes with 5 minifigures I was hopping for around 8-10 like the star destroyer. Quote
KinGanon Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I absolutley love the Venator The blue Senate Commandos are so sick! Also I don't see why there is so much hate towards the new Y-Wing, I think it looks pretty sweet with it aerodynamic profile, and the bubble for Ahsoka was a nice touch. Quote
simonjedi Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 My only concerns really is the choice of figures for the Venator and Y-wing, i'm happy with the senate commandos and palpatine, but only 2 clones? Thats half the figures in the clone battle pack. I would have at least liked a jedi like Luminara, a few more clones or officers and maybe a droid. Y-wing - Predictable minifigures, it would be the 4th or 5th Anakin, and ANOTHER R2 :( Rest are great, echo base hasn't impressed me that much Quote
RoflWafls Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 You are right. He also has a chine strap painted on his face.A Renz would have been nice. Barrie Holland would have been over the moon to have a Gentle Giant bust, a Hasbro 3-3/4" figure and a LEGO minifig in one year. Love the Wicket in the bottom right corner. Wicket is the one on the flyer. ;) Quote

I hope TLC will change it, and add some more figs to it. Quote
ROCON Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I've just noticed, that there is no "number of pieces" written on the Venator box, so there's maybe a slight chance to get more figs whit this set!I hope TLC will change it, and add some more figs to it. It's also a preliminary pic since it doesn't have the Republic emblem on the side of the ship. When you look at the Snail tank it's really small if you compare it to the at-te. I cant see clearly but are the jet packs new on the clones? Quote
MicroM Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Great additions to both collections, OT and CW. Firstly the OT Hoth - We've all been waiting on a Taun Taun, and Imperial Snowtroopers are always welcome. I do think the turrent is a bit small, but I understand if this was more substantial then the kit would be dearer. So I'm happy as it is, a great battlepack. Endor - I wasn't sure what to expect with this kit. LEGO have done it perfectly in my opinion. I'm struggling to think what else they could add outside of the Ewok glider, catapult, AT-ST and speeder bikes. It has everything for the scene. I really like the new speeder bikes (after just building a new CW RGS, these bikes are a big step up on the previous ones). The minifig collection is also awsome with this (I suppose if you were picky there is no C-3PO and a stromtrooper or 2 - but really I don't mind this, perhaps it adds the chance for a further Endor kit with those as the figs). All in all this is a great kit, right up there with last year's DS. Well done LEGO, I think you are nailing the OT at the moment. CW Y-Wing - this looks like it should (based on the series), it's just that it's not the best looking ship. The figs are tedious though, how many Anakins and Ahsokas do we need! Though I understand as these are aimed at kids, if you havent got an AT-TE or Twlight then you wouldn't have these 2 together. I think I would have preferred some Clones, perhaps Matchstick and a different driod. Alliance Tank - I really like this vehicle, I thought the first version was great back in 2005 and this version looks pretty good too. I like how we are getting a good mix of Separatist and Republic vehicles. Adding 2 clones is also a very good idea. Separatist Shuttle - I wouldn't have ever had this on a wish list, but the figures look good and I think it's actually a pretty neat addition. Shame they did't put Dooku in this, would save me getting one of his Sailor kits. Venator - I don't know about these large kits. I bought the ISD but have never built it (this happens when you have a baby - and no where to display). I like the figs, maybe a little light on. I do really like the Venator as a ship so I'm sure I'll buy one of these, the price just might kill me though. So all in all the OT sets are great, little to no improvement ideas from me. The CW aren't as great but are still very nice. One thing I'm finding with the CW kits is as I see the series (and I'm only up to episode 7 - its on quite a delay here in Australia) I like the kits more and more. I thought the Twilight was a hunk of junk until i watched the series, then I had to buy it. So I'm sure that will happen with this wave. The Venator is the only kit I will probably give serious thought too, and that's more about the price than anything else. Quote
Bricklanta Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) It would be awesome if lego made a separatist capital ship like the Invisible Hand. Has anyone found any leaked pictures of Home One?? Edited January 17, 2009 by Bricklanta Quote

ROCON Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 It would be awesome if lego made a separatist capital ship like the Invisible Hand.Has anyone found any leaked pictures of Home One?? I think for the Home One we're going to have wait until the Toy Fair, it may be there. Yeah it would be awesome if a Capital Ship was made with a new Greivous. Also, just a thought but imagine if Palpy had a face that could switch and he had a gold hilt, red lightsaber hidden in the Venator. I would totally buy if that was included, hopefully it's under 150. Quote
hollisbrick Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Are you sure we get Home One? Anyway, we fnd out in February at your local TRU! TLG have kept a tight lid on it for once! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 The Neimiodian on the Sep. Shuttle may not be Nute Gunray. Although he is 100% more important, Lok Durd: Appears more during the Clone Wars. I preferably don't care, because I'm sure that you can use both Neimiodians as one, though if they do, it may bother some hard core fans. "Lok Durd? Who the megablocks is Lok Durd? I want freaking Nute Gunray!" But please, to whoever took those pictures of the Sep. Shuttle, take a clearer one, because the others who saw the catalogue could tell it was a Rodian head, but all I see is a green blob! Quote
Folio Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Hi, im new, and i lurked here a few months. I love the hoth and Endor sets. they both look awesome and have awesome minifigs. Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I know It's been said a million times in the last few pages but these sets are MAGNIFICENT! I love every single one, I didn't even plan on buying the snail droid or the Y wing but they just turned out to beautiful not to. Not to mention the wonderful new box art, it's definitely a great change of pace! Just a few thoughts of mine regarding some of the sets The Y wing: No surprise, it comes with Ahsoka and Anakin, but oh well. The set itself is nice though, I was surprised how full it looks, I think it's good, however the front does look a little boxy, but not a deal breaker, The bubble turret looks great as well The Snail Droid - This is infinity better than the one that came in wookie attack, better color scheme, bigger, simply looks better, well done TLC! The Venator - this looks much better at that angle, I would still love to see what they did with the interior though, hopefully they're is something nice in there. I see it drops bombs, ok not the best think in the world but oh well. CIS shuttle - Looks great, not how I thought it would look, but for 300 pieces it looks good, definitely a buy! Thank you ever so much for the pictures! Quote
CommanderBly 128 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 They all look pretty good. My favorite is the seperatists shuttle, It looks like it has a pilot droid, 2 battle droids, Farr, and nute Gunray. 5 minifigs in probably a 30 dollar set. That is amazing. The Y-wing is pretty good looking, but I wish it had 2 pilot clones instead of Anakin and Ahsoka. Echo Base, and Endor are Great with lots of minifigs. Tank Droid is Ok, the picture makes it look way to stubby, the eyes look great though. The venator looks like it is too fat and chubby, minifigs are rare but only 5? I hope the add a few more clones. And thanks so much for the pictures. Quote
Dark Brickz Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 wow, i just gotta say so far so good with the new sets. just a few more weeks to nyc toyfare and we'll really see what we'll get in these sets... Quote

What would happen if people read the topic? The topic would be much much shorter and without reposting of already posted info. Quote
