TheTacoMan Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 In my opinion, the faulcon may be scaled to fit with the Home one. It would be great if these sets came together. we could use the Home One hangar to place the falcon. I doubt that the home one would be that big or the MF would be that small for that to happen Quote
natelite Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 i wouldn't put my money on a 4 mf cockpit MF for $60 unless someone in TLG's pricing department has gone utterly mad. the UCS MF has a 4MF cockpit and see how much it is going for. either that or you are asking for a highly deformed MF if it has a cockpit to fit 4 mf and yet priced for $60. let's be realistic here guys... $60 is going to buy you a slightly elaborated mini-scale MF and not much more. i'm hoping for a cutesy "tie-X in the DS playset" scaled version. hopefully large enough to fit just ONE mf. I guess you're right. That's why the 'Stellar Envy' sounds doable. I don't think it's a big as the classic MF. A Falcon scaled as the tie in the DS would be awesome. A small UCS that can be displayed unlike the UCS MF which is enormous (I still love it ). Quote

I converted them and the echo base in Aus. dollars is $70! It has to be wrong! I think the best prices have the South African Lego Shop: Kiddiwinks! Here they are: 7748: Tank Droid: ~30$ 7749: Echo Base: ~35$ 8036: Seper. Shuttle: ~35$ 8037: Y-Wing: ~72$ 8038: Battle of Endor: ~120$ 8039: Venator: ~180$ (<-Well here I'm very unsure...) Flesh Skywalker Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Thanks, i can now rufly estimate their value in pounds! Wait you guys. Just wait. There will be other toy fairs, like on in NY (isn't one going to be in UK?) and this one was in Canada ay. I looked at the South African prices, and Vader's Tie is R360 there, it's $30 US. If I convert with those numbers, Endor is $100, and Echo Base is $30, but we know things don't directly translate. Wait for the toy fairs and pricing to be anounced. Quote
The Penguin Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 4. TLG would just do this to annoy us. Luckily I got the idea from a guy on brickshelf to easily make a custom Nute Gunray using the ancient scuba diver helmet mask thingy as Nute's Hat. (Not mine.) That guy is The Penguin, actually. ) Ok, I'll stop showing off! )))) Speaking seriously, I'm a bit disappointed by TLC Gunray, really.... I think that the hat is way too big and odd-looking. But for a cheap set (and i hope the set is cheap! ) it's fine, I guess.... Still, I'm a bit puzzled by Farr there. I mean, do we really need him? He's not the most active character in SW, is he? I guess iy would have been better to get, say, Amidala there, or even (am I going mad?) Binks.... ) Good day, gentlemen! ) Quote

Darth Legolas Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I really don't think the MF will be any of the things we guessed, though a smaller UCS sounds about right. 1. It definitely won't be the Stellar Envoy. Reasons: It has nothing to do with the CW series with Ahsoka or anything, it was just in one single collectors book or comic that no one ever read! 2. Can't be scaled to the Home One. No, it won't fit in the hangar. It was planned before the Home One won the contest, so they can't plan on making a companion set if the other hasn't come out yet. Imagine that! On the bottom of the box, combine the Millenium Falcon and the Arrest of Palpatine to create the ultimate battle- that Lucas threw in his trash can before the creation of Episode III! 3. It CAN be a UCS. A small. Tiny one. Maybe a couple of useless minifigs, but a cool simple design. That's the only thing I can think of. Now, Commander Flash, if you really think that TLG would sell the Endor Bunker for $70, you're crazy. No matter how high the price, ever single LSW fan will buy it. OT or PT, it's just an amazing set. So they might as well raise the price to 500 bucks and I'll still get it. (Not really, and seriously TLG if you weren't planning on it, don't. ) Quote

Back on topic (sort of ) : Darth Legolas, you shattered my dreams of a Home One with MF. But it shouldn't be too hard to edit the set abit to fit the MF in it, should it ? Quote

Back on topic (sort of ) : Darth Legolas, you shattered my dreams of a Home One with MF. But it shouldn't be too hard to edit the set abit to fit the MF in it, should it ? Well who knows how the MF may turn out. Since it so common TLG could reduce the price to $50 but it could still be pretty huge. They might be using annoying giant pieces though. There's always the possibility of the MF being a UCS though also. And maybe, since the Home One is a hangar, my dream of a giant mini full of mini's mayh come out. So you could just load imn a mini MF. Quote
Patriot720 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I'm sure home-one will be something like this...It will probably end up being a small baseplate with walls resembling the inside of a ship, with a few tools, an A-wing, a little transport car, Admiral Ackbar, and a few rebel troopers. Quote

Darth Legolas Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 As sad as it is... i agree. However, i do think there will be some kind of command center... which gives the set hope to be somthing good Possibly two rooms, a transport car that goes between the hangar and the command center, and Ackbar can cruise around. But what I would love so much is if the Hangar in the home one came with a giant blue screen "lazer air lock," like in the movie where the ships can slip out once all of the air breathers evacuated. Quote
Patriot720 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 If there is a command center/control room I'd imagine that there would be a small hallway or section connecting it to the hangar. It will probably have computers and a chair for Ackbar, and maybe a place for the rebel troopers to store their blasters. I'm almost 100% certain that TLG will over simplify this set to cut the costs....Thus losing a sale And Darth Legolas, i'm sorry to say but if they did include a "giant blue screen with lazer air lock" in the hangar it'd probably be and overly large sticker. But hey that's coming from a guy who hates stickers more than m3g4bl*ck$ Quote

Well you can find prices on the pics from the toyfair and some retailers have allready put up prices for the new sets. And since LEGO is Danish, summer in Denmark; which normally is a random day in August. Quote
