I really don't mind them making a smaller Falcon, as everyone can't afford a $500 Lego set. :hmpf: And I'm sure that this one is for the kids, whom I think a lot of you tend to forget about...

I agree. Considering the USC Falcon was released not too long ago, I am expecting a smaller one as well. Like a lot of others, I would like Lando and the other characters in it during the Battle of Endor instead of another rehash of Luke, Han, Chewie, and Leia.

The magnet set looks great, I just have to wait until it becomes available in the US. Also with the MF, I hope it comes with Lando, Han, Luke, Chewie, Leia, R2, and 3PO.

Could someone in England order it for me, then I can pay you back.

new clone wars magnet set with Yoda, Dooku & Mace

That's simply awesome.

I didn't want to bother with the Republic shuttle or the Sailer (and I don't feel like splashing out for the AAT at this point), but I really wanted a Dooku and Mace minfig, this is a great alternative, and considering so many people by the sets just for the minifigs, this is really surprising, but I'd love to see it done more. Perhaps it'll reduce people looting the sets to sell on eBay.

Haha anyone with a spare Boba better sell him now while the price is still high. I'll probably end up getting the Leia pack, though I've always wanted a Darth Maul...(what color are the accents on his robe, looks like aqua blue or something  )

Wow, now this is a strange move by part of the TLC  . This is definitely the most strange combination for a magnet set at this moment. Just think about it, the TLC practically ruin their own sales here  . Now I am almost sure that many people aren´t going to get the SS, the RAS or the AAT (All this sets has their major sale point in their exclusive minifigs but now we can get all of them for just $12). Don´t get me wrong, this are a greatful surprise for us the FOLs  but it is a bit strange move from the TLC.

But you have to remember that these are still magnets, and aren't totally normal minifigs. For example their heads and legs can't be removed. :classic:

I got a price listing of cost prices for the August sets. I can't exactly say the sale price, but it tends to be about x% more.

So, my rough calculation is this:

7748 $22

7749 $22 (Both same as Hyena Droid)

7778 $36-40

8036 $36-40

8037 $60 (same as Republic Shuttle)

8039 $150 This one is harder to guess, since it's a larger price, but it's about 30% more than the Republic Gunship

I'm interested in distributing the stuff myself, and this was the price list I got, but, though there's no big surprises, it could be more or less in the end.

Not what I heard. I heard just the brick is magnetic. The figs are 100% normal.

Ya, I thought they changed it for the new ones, because its easier to make a magnetic brick with studs than a magnetic minifigure that moves.

EDIT: Proof

I must thank lego. I would definately buy one of this. I love collecting star wars jedi and sith minifigs. this makes things much easier for me.I would still buy at least one CW set though, the AAT. Its a nice set.

In that case, sign me up! :cry_happy:

I didn't realize that they were normal figs. I'll definitely be ordering some.

EDIT: I just saw that these aren't currently availible in the U.S...

I wonder if this will come to US S@H. :sceptic:

It will eventually. I can't imagine it not coming- at least to the stores, anyway.

This is great! Now I don't have to buy Vader's TIE or the Solar Sailer.

That Lego has decided to release this Dooku, Yoda, and Mace set is truly amazing. As has already been stated, these are all extremely expensive figures at the moment whose prices will surely drop after this set becomes widely available; minifig collectors rejoice! For example, Clone Wars Yoda cannot be had on Bricklink for less than $17; soon we can purchase him, Mace, and Dooku for less.

This is really great news to all SW minifig collectors (just like me)! This way we no longer have to buy large expensive sets just to get the oh-so-cool minifigs.

By the way, there are other yet-to-be-released magnet sets (images from Brickshelf).

852551 - Young Anakin Skywalker, Naboo Fighter, Darth Maul

852552 - Boba Fett, Slave Leia, Imperial Royal Guard

852553 - Imperial Scout Trooper, Rebel Alliance Pilot, Imperial Trooper?

3251761521_603e399944_o.jpg

852554 - Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader

3251761525_0478c40f8b_o.jpg

852555 - CW Yoda, Count Dooku, Mace Windu

Gotta get all of these! Just imagine, at 50 euros, you'll be able to get 15 SW minifigs with an assortment of weapons/accessories! What a great way for TLG to commemorate 10 years of LEGO Star Wars!

GREAT!!

Does anyone know when the other magnet sets will be released?

852554 and 852555 are already available in S@H in some countries. No confirmation yet on when the other magnet sets will be released. Not yet even sure if the othe are real sets, just got the images in brickshelf, but based on the ordered number of the sets, the other sets are probably real.

Wow!

I can't believe this.

I just bought the AAT for Yoda and then they release him with two other great figures for a cheaper price. :cry_sad:

It's great though that they are just like normal figures.

I wonder if they will do this with Plo Koon, Obi-wan and Anakin?

It would be great also if they did Rex, Cody and Fox. :cry_happy:

Yeah I know it's bad for those who have already bought the large sets just to get the minifigs. On the other hand, it's great for the minifig collectors who don't have to buy the whole set just to get the minifig.

For me, i hope they make this Jedi Magnet Set - Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli

Although this is unlikely, i hope they release this so I won't have to buy the RGS and Hyperboost Drive sets just to get Plo Koon and Kit Fisto!
