I really like the MF. It's very detailed for it's size, and really swooshable, unlike my old one. Maybe it'll have an interior- we don't really know.

I love the pirate tank! Beautiful! I'm getting at least two. I don't get why Obi's in it, though- he never fought them. Jar-jar and some red clones'd be nicer. The Weeqays are nice, though.

I like the Home One, though. We knew they couldn't make a full Home One, so this is just great. With a little modding it'll be nicely integrated into my base.

The Falcon must have a heck of a lot of small pieces considering the piece count is 356...

While the set doesn't really excite me, it does have a very nice design. The Pirate Tank looks quite lovely in my opinion. A nice brownish color scheme compared to the usual greys and whites of Star Wars. I'm looking forward to seeing what the finished pirates will look like. :sweet:

It's mid-scale, which means non-minifig scale.

Let's lay off the spoiled brat comments here.

Personally I think the design is pretty good and it'll do just fine sitting on my shelf.

As for the Pirate Tank, I've not got a single clue as to what and why that set was made...

Very true indeed, and as in this case, it can hardly be less minifig scaled. Plus, you can't fit a fig in the cackpit anyway, it's a solid brick (actually 2 bricks  ) with (chances are) stickers on it (them  ).

I think the design is really good also, but won't buy it because:

1. I don't buy most sets without figs, unless it's like the Yoda statue (which I really want).

2. I already have the UCS version, which annhilated a ton of shelf space.

The pirate tank does look pretty nicely designed, but a new Jar Jar would make my day, providing it didn't replace any of those figs.

And for anybody wondering, yes, these pictures are definitely preliminary. The weequays have Hoth trooper torsos.

Really guys, you complain that we get the same figures and whatnot, and now you are complaining that we don't get Han and Chewbacca? I swear Lego fans can always find something wrong about something good... :hmpf_bad:

I think they are both very nice sets, and will probably get them. I am looking to the Pirate Tank more, however. I have my fingers crossed for a $30 price and new molds for the pirates.

I actually like the mid-Falcon. The UCS is far, far too expensive for myself, so this looks like a perfectly acceptable set to me. Sure, I would've liked another 4504, perhaps with some different figs, but we can't always get what we want. It looks plenty swooshable and pretty detailed for such a small set, so I'm happy with it. Provided, of course, that the thing is about $40...

Im pretty sure the set will be $50, chief.

If you were talking to me about the Pirate Tank, I think it will be $30, $40 tops. The box size is comparable to other $30 sets, and it has 370 something pieces. I hope Lego will be nice and give us a good deal like this for a change.

When I zoomed in to the pirate tank, the pirate with the peg leg dosen't have a new mold , it's just a hat. Just thought I'd point this out.

I love the new Pirate Tank it looks awesome but I think if they put one more pirate it would look better

The Millenium Falcon looks real weird I am not getting this set unless its very cheap

Looks like a red kepi to me, though that could just be my eyes deceiving me.

The pirate has a hat from the actual pirate sets. (Not sure what its called). And remeber. Obi wan is seen near one of these tanks in the episode. Not fighting it but he his near one and fights the pirates.

I think its called a bandana or something

Thank you very much for the link to the pics, vulture! :sweet:

Ok people, that's enough of the childish whining about the mid-scale Millenium Falcon.

"Stay on target" and act maturely here.

If you're just here to whine and rant, then go somewhere else.

In this point I regrettably have to disagree with you, KimT!

Imo this forum is to write about what you like about new Lego sets - but even what you don't like. It would be unnatural if everybody likes everything.

7778 MF: I just can´t believe how they can ruin such a potential set :cry_sad::thumbdown: . This set is pretty bad in my opinion. No minifigs, looks expensive for what you get  and after all, who wants a super MINI :hmpf: ? I think they could have approched this $30 set slot with a nice little OT set or even a CW one  but no, they just decide to ruin one of the OT sets this year :sadnew: .

I totally have to agree with you, darkrebellion!

This MF is indeed designed perfectly, that can't be doubt! :oh:

But it's really a shame that TLG does not release a MF similar to the ones of 1999 and 2004! :cry_sad: This set really does not fit in the line of all the other great OT sets this year and is imo totally needless! I really don't know what TLG aims to achieve with that set! :hmpf: (Because of this I surely will not buy it - I already deleted it of my wishlist.)

I agree with you Klaus-Dieter, it is very childish to call someone a child just because they dont agree with your opinion on something. This is forum where we come to talk about our likes and dislikes on the new 2009 Star Wars line.

Back on topic, do you think there will be a interior inside the Pirate Tank or the MF?

Do you think the Separatist Shuttle will be large enough to put both Gunray and Farr?

Well I really don't understand the problems with the MF. Not all LEGO has minifigs, it has been like that for a long time.

And in this size it will make a great addition to the whole line of MF's ranging from mini to huge. So in my opinion it's welcome.

And if you don't like it don't buy it and TLC will stop producing them; problem solved.

I don't think the Millennium Falcon is large enough for an interior after all the radar is a 4x4 round dish so that gives u a scale of its size.

Well how about the Pirate Tank?

I really like the look of the Falcon. It's an interesting scale, I've never got into the minis, but I reckon this one is for me. I did buy the UCS, but really have no where to put it, so it's still in its box. Will be good to buy this one and actually put it out on display.

And the Pirate tank looks good, seems odd that we are getting it. But I really like the CW series and I can't get enough of the LEGO from it.

This is a good range coming out - and I haven't finished getting all of the 2009 first wave.

I was a bit disappointed at first because I had imagined "mid scale" to be somewhere between the 4504 and the UCS, with minifigs and interior etc etc... But finally I like that Falcon, the design is really nice and I think the mid scale is a very good idea.

The 4504 or UCS are great for display or static playset but they're hardly swooshable. This mid Falcon is a perfect "stunt double" for space combats, if the price tag is reasonnable (~40/45$) I'll definitely get it

Are the Midi Scale Millennium Falcon and the Darth Vader Tie Fighter from the Death Star the same scale?

Probably if not then it would be about it

I did a small comparison between the minifig scaled ones 8017 and 4504 and they (mid scale) seem to be in scale.
