Derek Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I found this! So did about 7 other people! This is at least a week old, and has surfaced several times here. PLEASE check before posting, this is getting REALLY annoying... Quote
posades Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 i guess you don't know that the lightsaber blade and hilt have been used in other themes...http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=577&in=S I think he may have meant using the lightsaber as a whole (the hilt with the blade as one). Quote
Bricklanta Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I wish the Solar Sailer included the parachute like thing that came out during Episode 2 when Count Dooku was leaving Geonosis. Quote
natelite Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I think he may have meant using the lightsaber as a whole (the hilt with the blade as one). oh really? how about this? i hope you own this set so u know what i am talking about. if not, try looking closer at the troll holding the banner. Quote

Yeah, but it aren´t trans, like a ´real´ lightsaber. I haven´t seen a black LS before... They only used the LS hilt to serve the same function as this Technic piece. Quote
Inertia Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah, but it aren´t trans, like a ´real´ lightsaber. I haven´t seen a black LS before... They only used the LS hilt to serve the same function as this Technic piece. Except the axle joiner is unable to be held by Minifigure hands, making the hilt much better for Standards, as it allows the fig to hold the Standard midway. Quote
ROCON Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah, no offense but I think we should talk about the sets instead of "lightsabers." Anyways, does anyone think that any other minifigures will be included in the Y-wing such as a clone with a different colored helmet (Matchstick for example). Quote
KimT Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah, no offense but I think we should talk about the sets instead of "lightsabers." Anyways, does anyone think that any other minifigures will be included in the Y-wing such as a clone with a different colored helmet (Matchstick for example). R2-unit, Anakin and Ahsoka. That would be the typical lineup for such a set. Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 R2, Anakin and Ahsoka would be a tad disappointing - they're already in The Twilight and they both have their own starfighter. But you're right, it is a typical lineup. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah, I was hoping the new Y-wing was going to include some of those more unique clones, but my hopes dropped once they announced it's Anakins Y-wing. Pretty obviously will just be those three, and after all they're the main characters and need to be included in at least one of the new sets.. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) I think they mean theme-specific parts, like Indy's whip, or a lightsaber. Oh, I totally beg to differ, never have they put both pieces of a lightsaber together in a non-star wars set, but both lightsaber pieces separately have been in numerous sets! And Indy's whip isn't Indy's whip, it's just a whip, and I'm sure eventually it will be used in another set too. To put it simply: I highly, highly, highly doubt that they would bother to make a new head for Nute Gunray. Maybe a hat, but not a head. And I also highly doubt they'll put Squidward's head in another theme, but it's still 100% possible. Edited January 2, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
The Rancor Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I also highly doubt they'll put Squidward's head in another theme, but it's still 100% possible. Hmmmm... What about SQUIDman Escape Space set in the Summer? Damnit! Why can't these Summer sets have more Clones and less clones of Anakin and Ahsoka!!! I'll definately get the Endor Battle set, and the Hoth Battle sounds good as well. Perhaps an OT year for me only... (...seeing as I'll spend a bomb on Pirates) Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) So far I know LEGO can put all their parts in every set from every theme, until it represents something from a liecense theme in a not license themed set. Example: Darth Vaders helmet can´t be used as decoration or helmet for a new bad knight from castle. But lightsaber hilts look also like torches or flashlights. Damnit! Why can't these Summer sets have more Clones and less clones of Anakin and Ahsoka!!! I would be pleased with more Anakins because I like his hairpiece and could use it for a Dark Knight Joker, ROTS Anakin or citizens for my little city. Until now Anakin is just in ugly, overpriced starfighters and the AT-TE. He could fit wonderful in a Tri-Droid set with Jettroopers and possibly Rex. Well, who knows what the future brings? I bet more Navy Troopers!^^ Edited January 2, 2009 by Navy Trooper Fenson Quote

Motti Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I wish the Solar Sailer included the parachute like thing that came out during Episode 2 when Count Dooku was leaving Geonosis. That would skyrockert the price and compensate the appearance of the ship unfortunately. Lego will just have to go for useless flapping wings. Oh, I totally beg to differ, never have they put both pieces of a lightsaber together in a non-star wars set, but both lightsaber pieces separately have been in numerous sets! Oh please post something you are sure about, especially when you use italics and such. It's rather insulting in my point of view. I was talking about specific heads such as battle droid heads, but not bodies, vader's torso design, and squidward's head. We know from official letters from lego that they cannot use these parts, and it is not up to them. So it is 0% possible of squid's head appearing in another set. As for Nute's head, I still think there is some possibility of them making a mould for him, especially if he is the only neimoidian in the set. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I have a question: So there are not R2-D2, Chewbacca and two Endor Rebel Troopers included in the Endor set - only Han, Leia, 2 Scout Troopers, 2 different Ewoks and a DS Trooper?! I would guess DS Trooper, Leia, 2 Scout Troopers, Chewbacca, 3 Ewoks, Han, R2-D2 and 2 Endor Rebels. CopMike Those are the exact same guesses that I would have come up with. I wish all these minifigs will be included in the Endor set, too, CopMike and KimT! But don't you think that three Ewoks are a bit too much to await - two yes, but three?! Since it seemed (we were aible to read a part of a chat some months ago) that TLG will include some Endor Rebel Troopers in the Mon Calamari Cruiser set I'm really surprised that TLG will include them in the Endor set, too . Which minifigs do you think that TLG will then include in the MCC? (Since then the Endor Rebel Troopers aren't really new - and only one new minifig (Admiral Ackbar) is really not too much, is it?!) I don't give my hopes up for getting a Rebel Captain/Commander/... in the Hoth set - although it seems to be very unsupposably! Klaus-Dieter Quote
KimT Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 The Endor set will be a 10 years anniversary set and have plenty of minifigs, at least that's what I've heard. So the guess by CopMike isn't that far off. Quote

That makes more of a point... as for the Endor set, it would really stink without Endor rebels, which are also in hgih demand, maybe even higher than Aayla Secura! (And trust me, if you look in the most wanted unreleased Jedi topic, you'll see 100 votes for her.) Quote

Of course. Everyone is entiteld to their opinion. But what I'm making my point on is that Lego has stated that they cannot use the special parts, but I think Darth LEgolas is saying lego can do so out of whim of any parts it wants. Fact vs. opinion?
