Algernon Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 DAYUM, those Prince of Persia minifigs are SWEET. That alone justifies this theme. Quote

Lordofdragonss Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I have the name for a Woody and Jessie body-mold Its Tallfigure xD And I'm so going to buy Zurg set! ANd the Armymen stands will be great for Brikwars! Quote
ILikePi Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) WOW! Those are some awesome minifigs! Oky Wan basically summed up all the comments I was going to make. Edited July 23, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Biotoakid Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I think the Woody has taller legs... I really like the soldiers... and RC... I would love to Slinky and Rex though... Also, why is everyone waiting for Wednesday? Today's Wednesday. Quote
Justin Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 LEGO (and Disney/Pixar) did a great job with the Toy Story minifigures! I like the fact that they made Woody taller than Buzz. The sandwich board technique is being used on Buzz Lightyear. I also noticed that the arms from Hagrid are being used on Woody and Jessie. I also like the fact that the heads on the minifigures are new molds. The Toy Story minifigures are all stylistically accurate to their movie counterparts. Two...thumbs...up! ♪ The toys are back in town! ♪ ♪ The toys are back in town! ♪ To infinity...and beyond!!!! Quote
The Alchemyst Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I think the Woody has taller legs... I really like the soldiers... and RC... I would loveto Slinky and Rex though... Also, why is everyone waiting for Wednesday? Today's Wednesday. Were you reading old posts? Check the date. We were waiting for today to see the new figs. :P [-TA-] Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 My thoughts Buzz+Zurg- Good and well done with Buzz Woody+Bullseye, Pete, and Jesse- Okay, I'm not really liking the larger legs and torso. They make them look kiddish to me Army Men+ RC- Awesome PoP- THEY LOOK VERY COOL! I also LOVE the camel and ostrich. Big fan of camels. Quote
LittleBuilder Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Wow, imagine all those new green soldiers an new desert figs, awsome but most of the toys story fig are just Quote
Optimus Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Awesome! Those PoP Figures are very well done. The Toy Story sets look like they'll be really good parts packs for the rare pieces and colors. I'll probably pick up a few of those Armymen for their helmets and gear as well. Looks like 2010 is going to be another great year for Lego, not so good for my wallet Quote
UsernameMDM Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Love the PoP minis and new headgear. Wonder if we will get some new PoP inspired weapons. I really, really hope Lego doesn't use the troll scimitar for the PoP line. Quote
Oswald the Rabbit Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 So freaking excited about this sets. First of all I love Disney and Toy Story sets are awesome they would fit in perfectly as characters in a Lego sized Disney park. Secondly YYYYYAAYYYYY an Ostrich and a Camel. I am so hoping this series gets a second wave with Lions, Hippos, Giraffes and Rhinos added to it. Lego Zoo is growing. Quote
Tarduk Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I hope Buzz` helmet/armour can work with minifigure heads i know what im getting in 2010 Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 im kinda disappointed with the toy story figs... they look too big to be minifig size. i love the PoP ones though, i know i'll end up buying all of them. the toy story sets... i need to see more to decide. Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I'm loving all of these new headpieces. Great to finally be getting army helmets, hopefully we'll be seeing more of them in other colours in the Indy sets. The curved pointed helmet looks very nice too, it looks like a plume can be stuck on the point. This piece should be useful for Mesopotamian or Ancient Egyptian MOCs, and could perhaps even be used as a picklehaub. . And that new headrap looks stunning, very detailed. As has been said, it would be perfect for an Indy Staff of Ra scene. It's a shame we didn't get one of those with the Ambush in Cairo set though, it would have been great on the Cairo swordsman too. Quote
The Cobra Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I never cared about Toy story, and I surely won't start now. But those PoP minifigs and animals are awesome. Looks like 2010 is going to be another great year for Lego, not so good for my wallet Money comes and goes, Lego stays! Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 somehow, by looking at the Toy Story figs... i can imagine that Ben10 would be extraordinarily similar. Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) will there be 3 eye green martians for toy story... i wonder... and mr potato head. how can u have toy story without mr potato head!! but seriously, if they give us rex... they'll probably bring back the green dinosaur, with face print. Edited July 23, 2009 by tin7 Quote

I thought they couldn't have a mr potato head because it would be under the hasbro license? Unlike everyone else im sorta disappointed the toy story sets. The minifigs aren't normal sized which bothers me a bit because the only really minifig sized one is buzz and then his head seems to be a bit big. They all seem to look like duplo figures. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 New animals... new head gear. Oh I so have to buy a lot of this stuff! Those figures are epic! Can't wait to get the set pictures! Quote
Whittleberry Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I've never been a Toy Story fan, and I hardly even know what PoP is, but there's some pretty nice pieces there. I don't like the Toy Story figs though...most of them just aren't normal minifigs. I like Hagrid from the Harry Potter sets, but these oversized figs are like little action figures with LEGO style hands and feet which can attach to studs. I'm just worried about an excess of new parts which don't look like LEGO elements. The camel and ostrich aren't exactly nice and simple like the Castle horses or the minifig scale dog, but they look ok. Whether I buy any of these sets or not will depend on pieces I think. Quote
Batbrick Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Not loving the Toy Story figs much, but the PoP ones looks incredible! Those new head wraps, fleshie faces, camels, emus, it's all magnificent! To the Brickmobile! Quote
MECHALEX Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Colour me mighty impressed at the Prince of Persia figures. That said, I'm a sad old stickler for yellow minifigs so will be happily swapping out the flesh tones and customising them for Arabian Nights/Alchemist/Sinbad style projects. I'm still hoping for a Greek myths range though. Quote
