Everyone knows about the new AT-OT with dropship set that's coming soon. (Maybe we're gonna see them in action soon?) I was browsing through pictures on brickshelf when i noticed that the AT-OT has a troop deployment in the rear of the walker. I have been bothered for some time how to get my troops out of my AT-TE. The clone wars series hasn't showed anything about it. There was only one moc i found in which a person used the hatch doors with a removable trap door piece as part of it. Anyone who has an AT-TE notice the same problem?

Anyone got any good mocing for it?

I would use the trap door peice at the back of the AT-TE as the floor. Then I would add a plate onto the door so it is a slope, instead of the clones jumping out and hurting themselves. That would be it really, except for the tunnel from the front of the AT-TE to the back so they can all exit.

Well I based a MOC I made off of the Hasbro AT-TE where the back plate(with the rotating cannons) folds down into a ramp. I'm still working out the kinks in it though.

thanks for the idea, but what about the piece that's holding the two rear guns in place?

The best part is that this mod uses spare pieces from the clone walker battle pack.

I don't know if I would call them spare, they are kind of crucial to the set... :sceptic:

well, if you have a lot of them or dont like the walker, then yea use spares. I have those pieces so thanks for the pictures, im goning to use that idea and expand.

Actually, in the real version, clones jump out through the space between the armored plates and the body itself...

here's mine:

Sorry for the poor quality pics. But I used a special piece that was connected by a wheel type thing. You don't get it from a set rather than a "pick a brick type"

There's my Decaled Clone Commander ready to charge the Separatists.

While I'm at it:

my MOCed AT-TE: 6 seats in the front including driver and 5 seats in the back. I re MODed the weapons rack if you can see my poor quality pics.

For me I think that the sides of the At-te just open and they jump out and fight. But thats in my opinion.

I think Hasbro AT-TE also deploy the troop from the back.

Just like the real thing, I have them jump out from the whole in the bottom. In actuality there's a hatch in the floor of the body for Clones to jump out of.

If you have the cross-sections book, it says that the part of the "wall armor" near the midsection folds downward to make an angled ramp on the real AT-TE.

I think I saw a commercial of the hasbro one that can come out at the back

me too, I'm making another way when i attache the back 2 guns with 2 rotating bricks onto the back hatch to get rid of the center piece.

How's this? (not mine)

that's the one i meant in my first post. But that's only a way for the gunners to get out.

My impression was that all the troopers filed out these doors, because these doors are nowhere near where the gunners are seated.

They just teleport out of mine...

the walker is walking and all of a sudden it is surrounded by my clones
