hi I have previously reported that this year we will train through shop at home.

I said a locomotion only had information but no one now is this picture from leaked.

the corpse to me that it is a real set is all you never know.

I go see if I get more info on where to find it.

i think this is not a fake but the best train set since mid 9v. i think the motor is in the tender as like explaned in railbricks issue 5. also the front wheels are the same used in rc motor wheels. whether it is real or not i am running round my room singing. bang, bang, bang(neighbours) be quiet. eney way thgis is for me a must have although only having 2 semi circles and 2 striaghts it will be very hard for it to run. ps thanks for this info cant wait for more.

I hope it is real it is so large and fantastic, if so it blows my budget. I love the looks of the large wheels, great colors mostly I am thrilled that it is a classic steam engine. It will be a "MUST BUY" for all of us train fans. I cant wait to see what rolling stock, buildings etc TLG has in store in their train line.

Let's just hope this is the real deal and that we'll have new trains soon enough.

Does anybody thinks that the train's photo (photo only) being larger compared to the minifigs means something about the set being real or fake?

I still can't make up my mind.

This looks fantastic, and I hope it is not a fake (it looks too professional indeed to be fake!)

Maybe Emerlad Night is Lego's counterpart to famous trains like the Orient Express, or is it a real train from the past? I am too lazy for wikipedia-ing right now...

I hope that this train, if released, will not be restricted to the new flexible tracks and that it runs on the 9v ones too.

Can't wait till april first!

as this set really is not factory set.

there is no rails and engine but fall to me that new parts used.

I saw on the Internet that this set will cost around 110 euro if it is real.

but lego is busy everyone happy face different sets will be trains, city, starwars, castle, and much more.

I wonder if there are more trains will

Can someone explain what "flexible tracks" are?

Track that you can bend so you can get curves to your liking. Well, I guess it is. Exactly what that implies, only TLC knows.

Googling the set gave me this:

http://blogg.aftonbladet.se/27585/perma/1091006/

The comment at the bottom of the page dated January 30th (already?) seems to know that the price would be 1100 SEK (about 103 EUR), the release date April 1st.

And these set numbers are also mentioned:

- 8866 Motor

- 8867 Flexible train tracks (???)

- 8878 Rechargeable battery

- 8879 "Fjärr", which I guess means "Remote"?

Now, I don't know what to believe, but if the comment indeed has been posted that early, there might be something into this.

Flexible tracks?

What? 1100 SEK?? That´s very expensive. :sceptic:

However, a very nice set(?), and if it´s real, then I´ll absolutely get one.:thumbup:

Yup, ´fjärr´ means ´remote´.

If this is a real set, I believe that it will not be the only one to come out this year. It looks to be the train only, with no rails, motor, or remote. Regardless of whether or not those things are available separately, Lego has always offered a "complete" set that contains everything needed to run a train. My guess is that this will be an exclusive (obviously, via the number), and it will supplement a simpler set that is ready to run out of the box.

In any case, this is a Lego train fan's biggest dream come true! It even makes the death of 9V bearable :cry_happy:.

no, there isn't a set with this number.

maybe you mean 10184 (town plan) or 10174 (AT-ST)

also there are sets 10190 (market street), 10191 (star justice), 10192 (space skulls) and 10193 (medieval market), but no 10194

Oh really? I must've gotten it mixed with townplan 10184 :blush:

Sorry, haven't read the whole thread, but I think it's fake because the minifig heads are missing the white pupil that all other new minifigs have.

That to me seems a non-convincing argument, how can you distinguish the pupils of minifigures that are in a low resolution picture...? My eyesight is quite all right and I can see either pupils or pixels when looking at the figures.

I found what whomever designed this used for inspiration.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LNER_Class_A3...Flying_Scotsman

Its the LNER Flying Scotsman

Here is a tidbit of information from wiki:

The LNER Class A3 Pacific locomotive no. 4472 "Flying Scotsman" (originally no. 1472) was built in 1923 for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) at Doncaster Works to a design of H.N. Gresley. It was employed on long-distance express trains on the LNER and its successors, British Railways Eastern and North-Eastern Regions, notably the 10am London to Edinburgh Flying Scotsman service after which this locomotive was named. In its career 4472 "Flying Scotsman" has travelled 2,000,000 miles (3,200,000 km).

I hope this is the real deal because that Train is absolutely beautiful.

This set looks AWESOME!!! Thank you for the pic. This is definitely one of the best train sets TLG has released in quite some time. I am very curious how the new power functions will handle with a locomotive so well detailed. I am glad to see that TLG did not make the locomotive look so generic like the My Own Train sets. This set looks like a definite good buy for all Train modelers. GREAT JOB LEGO!!

Model On!!

I think it's real TLG like to bring out sets that allow them to do small scale part runs of new or returning parts. This would be a great way to test out the new train magnets, wheels, and maybe even the motors...

(I love the look of this set!)
