KimT Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Truly a work of beauty. I've added it to the index and within the next few days I plan to frontpage some of the latest MOCs in here. And this one is sure to be part of that Quote
Bricklanta Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 It's so big it looks like it took you awhile to build it. Quote
TLV Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Woah nice ship you've got there. Seems really accurately built and the attention to detail is amazing. Quote
dunamis Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Great job! I love the detail. Very well done. Quote
commandercody Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Nice!! I wouldn't call that UCS, though. More like small mid-scale. Quote
Anio Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Nice!! I wouldn't call that UCS, though. More like small mid-scale. ???? It is more than 1 meter long (and so longger than a 10030) ! It is not enough for a UCS ? Edited February 22, 2009 by Anio Quote
KimT Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 ????It is more than 1 meter long (and so longger than a 10030) ! It is not enough for a UCS ? I'd say it is. UCS has never been in scale with neither minifigs nor the regular mid-scale conversion. A large awesome model is normally considered UCS, so is well designed MOC like for example Anio's TIE Fighter. starstreak Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Very nice! I saw the shots of the build. LOL! I always wondered how people had all the right colored parts. You don't. You just hide the wrong colors well. :) Quote
Sycaris Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Excellent MOC . When I first saw it, my first thought was how can I copy it and replicate it for myself. I love how accurate the angles are. Quote
thire5 Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Thank you guys for all your comments. It's so big it looks like it took you awhile to build it. Yeah, I was building it for one month. Quote
Dark Brickz Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 thats awsome. do you still have it? Quote

Ras 74 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 An amazing moc. Will definatley get the one from TLC, and resize it to be better in scale. Might have a look at your beautiful ship for that -Ras- Quote

RileyC Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 wow :oh3: thats so awesome. You got the shape of the venator really accurate in your awesome moc. I really like all the greeblings on the side of the ship. Great work and i'd love to see more mocs if you have any Quote
Fumoffu Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 This is an amazing MOC. The Venator is my favourite capital ship in Star Wars and you done it justice in Lego form. Thanks for it with us and it must be said ... WOW!!! Quote
CommanderFox Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) This is beyond AMAZING it's to amazingly cool that it's indescribebal the shape is perfect and the greebling is awesome!! well done and if i bought this i wouldn't pay under $5,000... i think if i had that money. I think your next step is making an interior for this that would be very nice. CommanderFox Edited July 9, 2009 by CommanderFox Quote
Anio Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 (edited) Hi all ! Polo, one of my friends and moderator on my forum asked me to present his MOC. It is a Venator based on Thire5's one. It may have about 6000 parts and he worked about 300 hours to get such a result ! Here are some photos : @Thire5 : Polo thanks you. Your MOC helped him a lot do his own Venator ! Edit : Polo plans to do a full building instruction. Thus, I (Anio) will be able to reproduce this beauty. Edited July 16, 2009 by Anio Quote
Jango Fett Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Oh my gosh! That model is more than great! How long did it take you to do that? Oh and...how many pieces did you need? Quote

ILikePi Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) Since the only post I made in this thread was one that was posted in February, which didn't say anything about how amazing this MOC is (and now this topic is revived), I'll make another post. Wow, this is one of the best LEGO Venators I have ever seen! You've really captured the shape of the ship, thire5! The side greebles in dark bley and dark grey are very nice, and I think that the combination of the two colors makes it look even more detailed! The trans-black cheese slopes and plates on the command tower(s) are a nice addition! The Republic logos are simple, but very effective. It's a shame that you had to take it apart. And Anio, your friend's remake of the Venator is even better! I really like the trans-blue engines, too! Also, those greebles on the sides are very nice and detailed! Great parts usage there. drdavewatford Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I have to admit that I'm also waiting for Anio's friend to finish writing instructions for the Venator - I recently finished building Anio's excellent UCS TIE Fighter using the instructions provided by Oxycrest, and now I'm looking for an even bigger challenge !!
