Not to junior mod but don't you think bumping a thread last read on the 24 November last year just to say oh nice might be a bit pointless, However as you both appear new, as a general rule of thumb, don't bump threads older than 1 month, unless you have something really good to say. Well, since the thread is up, few pics with the new sticker. It is sky blue, like other official UCS set.

The dark blue was nice but too dark IMO.

Hi, my first post here. Just finished building Anio's Tie Fighter (ST01). I thought it would make an interesting break from building UCS sets and I can't recommend it enough. Many thanks to some great shops on Bricklink (my first time using it and have not been let down once.)

Give this MOC a go - great fun trying to source all the bricks from Bricklink - almost as much fun as building the set itself!

If giving it a try I'd recommend building the black plates for the wings first, then the detail on the front. Add the light blue gray plates for attaching the pinion last, makes the wings a lot easier to build.

I'll be trying Anios ST06 Slave 1 next - have almost 90% of the required bricks so will heopfully be starting in the next few weeks.

(I tried adding a picture but I can't until I've posted 5 times on the site - I'll post once I've reached the limit!)

For your information, 10175 is a "cheap" UCS model and enable to get a lot of useful parts to build my TIE. :)

Aye, it's cheaper than most of the other UCS.

The Tie advanced windscreen wouldn't be good? its a bit too dark/black, wonder how it would react (considering it's cheaper than the UCS whole kit I mean:) )

Yes, unfortunately it is only available from the 10175 set. I was lucky and found it on ebay for £4 (It and the 2 rare curved plates - I was the only bidder on the auction). I had originally planned to buy an old 10175 without box/instructions and start from there - but a lot of brick sellers list against the original set for rare bricks and I was lucky - worth checking on eBay if you can't find on Bricklink.

Good luck in finding it - a nice model once complete.

Just to be clear, the instructions for sale have the first version of the wings, not the larger updated wings? Anyone think LEGO will ever release a UCS TIE or TIE Bomber?

No, there is no UCS set. This is actually a creation of his own design. Anyway, I like how you made the hatch to put a minifig inside there!
