I think I decided to skip the Dropship or at least wait on it. It's really appealing at first glance, but upon closer examination I don't think it's really worth the price tag at all. I may wait for it to go on sale, but I'm not sure I'll even buy it then, because by then the Space Police will be out.

Why do you think the dropshop and AT-OT is bad?

Why do you think the dropshop and AT-OT is bad?

Because I'm not seeing anything that merits a $250 purchase. Yeah, the dropship looks great, but the AT-OT is a load of meh. Sloppy construction and flimsy structures, if those Toy Fair videos are anything to go by. That's half the set right there. Besides that, there are no exclusive parts or terribly interesting minifigs. I don't collect clones since I'm not a SW collector, so the (relatively) high clone count does nothing for me. The best part about the set is obviously the dropship, and while it's dang good, I wouldn't pay $250 for it. I'll probably wait for it to go on sale, nab it, and sell the AT-OT on Ebay. Or I may skip it entirely and buy more Space Police.

great set i will be getting 2 of these babies.

Well as much as I absolutely love the set, I still want the Venator as well, and the two smaller CW summer sets. So you'll be spending 500! Wow...

From the position you stated in your statement, it seemed to me based upon on a Minifig argument, seeing as how both sets you mentioned, the RGS and AT-TE, to be "ahead", are completely different than the two sets featured in the Exclusive, and the fulcrum of your argument rested upon the buying and selling of minifigs. If you want to mod the sets... Thats your option. Sometimes you can come out ahead by reselling. And while you can feel free to redress the issue, my position still stands... I LIKE the AT-TO/ LAAT/c. To me, the minifigs are irrelevant. If you miss understood my position, I apologizes for that. Otherwise, I suggest you take your own advice, and re-read my post. I do not troll... As I have not posted here in sometime. My comment wasn't meant to be sarcastic... so next time... be a bit more tactful in your rebuttal. :classic:

let me spell it out for you. my proposition was that you can get the ATOT/LAAT/c cheaper if you are willing to build from downloaded instructions and using RGS and ATTE as parts pack. Couple that with several clone BP and you should be able to top ATOT/LAAT/c with still money to spare.

I was rebutting the previous argument that ATOT/LAAT/c has better mfs because it has gunners and pilots. MY REBUTTAL WAS THAT GUNNERS WERE ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE BP and pilots are just as easy to obtain. From a mf perspective, RGS and ATTE are much better off because of the jedis and other harder to get mfs.

from either a parts pack perspective, a model perspective (my argument again was that you can build 10195 from parts from RGS/ATTE/BPs), or mf perspective a RGS/ATTE/BPs combo thumped ATOT/LAAT/c any day. the only argument for ATOT/LAAT/c is convenience as building 10195 from pieces from other sets require effort.

there's no need for saying my argument was beyond detestation, when you clearly did not understand my position. when did i make the comparison based SOLELY on mfs? why should i need to understand your position for? you did not make the original argument but was rebutting my position.

First, Thank you for taking the time to spell out out positions, in great detail, on three, not one, arguments. They, all three, are solid arguments. I have, again, reread your first post, and with this added information, I can see still further into understanding your point of view. I apologize, that I merely addressed a point that I wished to focus on, and added the fact that you where indeed correct on your summation that the Minifigs in the AT-TE and RGS are indeed better. So what I said about your minifigs "conclusion" was true, then... From a certain point of view. :sceptic:

I suggest, however... refraining from the hyper-senativity... :sadnew: If you do re-read my posts... you should now see what I was addressing. I am assuming that you are an adult.... I hope then, we may continue in an adult discussion. I meant you no personal offense.

I hope that I could buy that awesome set.

But 250€ are a lot of money, which I can use for other auctions, too.

We will see....

I saw a video about this set. I didn't see the Clone Wars series or the CW movie, but I saw the cockpit of the LEGO AT-OT folding. Has the real one also a folding cockpit?

To be honest I don't like the CW sets and figs, maybe only the vehicles that are also used in the regular movies. These two vehicles are but I'm not sure about the AT-OT. Maybe I buy some Ep. II clones and the pieces for the 7675 AT-TE and the LAAT/c. And then I don't feel I need to apply the stickers.

For me the set is too expensive. It is already expensive for the parts you get, but I don't like the All Terrain Open Transport. Because it is... well, it's open. And the cockpit looks very weird to me.

I think they could better sell the AT-OT and LAAT/c seperately.

But the concept looks great to me. From what I saw on the video, the "claw" of the dropship works very well. And for me personally (and I think others as well) it's also great that you can use it with the AT-TE.

thanks for yet another veiled attempt at trolling for flames. you even included the spelling errors, inference of having PMS and the oh so common plea for "ADULT" situation....nice! :hmpf_bad:

your pov is that ATOT/LAAT/c is a very impressively designed set. so? did i ever say it wasn't?

The dropship was in the movie. It could be seen taking the AT-TEs to Teth.

I don't think the 'real' AT-OT has a rotating head, or if it's dropship-compatible, for that matter.

Here's the Wookieepedia article on the AT-OT and here's the one about the dropship.

Looks like a lot of people voted yes and i wonder what set they would like for the people who voted no

The two vehicles just seperate, so people who don't like the AT-OT (like me) don't need to pay for that part of the set.

I so like this set.

I liked the LAAT/c since I saw it in Ep. II.

Even started of with building one of my own.

But that project got stranded because of many reasons.

Now I will be able to get one that will probably be better then I could have built it.

Plus the effect that it also can take on the AT-TE :cry_happy:

The AT-OT is great to.

It is for a short view in Ep. III, so I look upon it as well as the LAAT/c as original SW vehicles.

I liked the AT-OT more and more since Mutley built his version of it.

So I´m really glad to get this one as well.

I will for sure get 2 ex. of this in time.

There is a solution for this.

Download the instruction from LEGO´s website when it is available there, and build the LAAT/c out of your own bricks.

You might have to get some bricks off of BL maybe.

Sure you will not get the stickers nore the pilot.

The pilot looks like it might be the same as in the V-19 Torrent, and the stickers?

Well there is plenty of people out there doing marvelous things.

Just ask someone if you can´t do it yourself.

You could probably get hold of the stickers from TLC customer service for a small charge or free if you are the dishonest type

One thing i did wonder was if the 3 cockpit parts were printed or stickers?

Judging by this pic it seems that they are stickers *sigh* since the dust and other particles are locked in the sticker. Also you can sort of see the outline of a sticker.

Wow I noticed from this pic that it has windshield wipers  Also there are a lot of gaps in it.

I think I'll try building the dropship and ordering the stickers off of TLC (free of course  )

Bah, you spoilsports. I am a little sad that they're stickers, but you know, maybe it was just stickers for the show and they're waiting for the printed parts-

Oh wait, I forgot, The LAAT/C has a switchable exterior like the LAAT/I so we do get stickers. But that doesn't affect me in the least. I still absolutely love this set!

Why?

And it was definitely not stickers just for the show: There are ''interchangable'' side-slopes like on the other Gunship.

EDIT: Well obviously they're not. Sorry Darth Legolas, didn't read the whole post.
