Would you buy any NJO-era sets?

Personally, I'd be all over some Yuuzhan Vong minifigs and weapons. And Coralskippers, oh yes. I imagine it would be tricky, but the result would be worth it.

Well for first when you start a topic can you be more specific? I know you are the talking about the war after the return of the jedi which includes Jacen and Jaina Solo. I would admire it but am not a fan of it, I notice that many fans are mostly interested in either the Sith and Jedi civil war or the clone wars or the empire and rebellion. There are some who follow up after Return of the jedi but not so far till the Yuuzhan vong. I dont think lego will do it either as money will mostly likely come from the wars I mentioned above. But it would be great to see the customs!

I'd take some SotE (Shadows of the Empire) or Thrawn era though, in a heartbeat. I already have my Thrawn, Daala and Ysard torso decals done, plus a stock part version of both Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn. I'm convinced that Dash Rendar and LE-BO2D9 should be easy. Even TLG gave them a little love with their Outrider alternate instructions for the minifig ISD.

I don't really like the NJO era. Too peaceful. Nah, it would give us a chance to get new stormies and imperial generals which is always good. Apart from that, I think it wouldn't sell. Kids don't know about after ROTJ, so I think sales would decrease.

I don't think you will see any of this, most of the sets lego release are canon, with a couple of exceptions, but which will possibly be seen in the new TV series.

Oh yeah, Chewie was killed by them . I think KOTOR would sell more overall. KOTOR=Knights of the Old Republic. The new republic was a cheesy expansion of th story.

I don't think the star wars books have that big a fan base. Lego is still primarily targeted at children, and those books are meant for young adults. NJO is kinda dark man. Don't wanna write any spoilers here, but some important characters died. As seen from the replies in this thread that the section of star wars history is still relatively unknown. I don't think they'd sell that well if they made sets of it.

Star wars legacy is really dark man. Its like the galactic empire all over again. However I would buy the minifigs too if they were made. The sith lords are just way too cool in that series. I just can't get enough of the jedis, be it good or bad.

Agreed! I mean Jacen was like the exact replica of vader and Jaina, Luke. Its the empire all over again. Agreed to that its always good to have more jedi ad sith!

Seriously though I don't see why Lego won't really as they're making lots of EU sets with the main film series over. To be honest though I wouldn't buy any because this era really doesn't interest me, I like the films and the clone wars and thats it, although I respect that some people can like it...

I'd buy KotOR sets in an instant, the senate commando helmets, would make decent sith trooper helmets with a quick repaint.

They could even releasing them the same time as the Kotor MMO.

For me it would depend on the set. I havent got the same feeling with the NJO era as I have with CW or episodes 1-6. So a set from NJO might just feel like just another space theme. That is the reason why I havent bought the Rogue Shadow.

Sorry, I'm not a major Star Wars fan and I didn't know the NJO books were hated or avoided. =/

And when I say that, I'd assume the reason LEGO would be selling them is because some sort of media that was about them would have been mainstream, like how all the Clones are getting sold because of Clone Wars, and all that. Not like, oh hey, let's make them for no reason.

I guess I'd love Yuuzhan Vong sets, like the giant insect tanks, the flying ray gunships, and the minifigs themselves would be awesome due to Vonduun Crab armour. Plus, the many different Jedi, like Saba and Kyp Durron, or even the anti-Yuuzhan Vong War Droids, Plus, a Chiss Clawcraft and an X-Wing for a Twin Suns Boxed set would be epic. =3
