darkrebellion Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 In my opinion some NJO-era sets could be really great like for example a detailed Coralskipper but I really doubt the TLC could come with something like this. What really pissed me off is the fact that they don´t approach the actual EU related lines . The Force Unleashed had a lot of potential like a Felucian Rancor, a Junk Golem, a Kashykk set, a Kneto duel set and so on but they just release the Rogue Shadow (Which is really great, one of the best 2008 sets ). iH Master 13uilder17 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 NJO=New Jedi Order. It is the time period after ROTJ. I do not know details because I am not a fan. i personally don't like the NJO because their ships look weird and basically i just dont know the story line. Quote
Dark Wanderer Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I'd be happy to buy some NJO-era sets, if just because we get to see more of Fett. In the OT, well, he has a few lines and then goes poof. We could have another Falcon, perhaps a clawcraft, and maybe even some sort of Centerpoint. Naturally, the market's too small, but so it goes.... Quote
Tinn-man Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Yes, I would buy them. Especially if they made Grand Admiral Thrawn , or even Luuke Skywalker. No Vongs, though, way to violent. And the entire Legacy of the Force series bored me to death. Didn't even make it through the first book . Quote
RileyC Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I definitely wouldn't. I just stick to the movies and the clone wars tv series. Its not thats its not good but all of the books just get so confusing and tis hard to keep up Quote
KimT Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Isn't this what they tested with the EU sets? And to what ends? It didn't look as if though the sales were any good. The Tie Crawler has been on sale forever and the Rogue Shadow has also been on sale on several occasions. Wether or not one might buy such sets wont even become a question, since I doubt TLG would venture into those sub-themes. If they or some of them ever became TV-shows like the Clone Wars, then we might see them as official LEGO sets, but until then this topic is mere speculation and no more 'real' than asking "Would you buy sets from the Endor movie where 2 children are stranded amongst those furry ewoks?". Just my opinion. Quote
Bricklanta Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 The New Republic Era is not meant meant for young kids which are the majority of TLC's customers so they probably wouldn't make sets based on that era. I wouldn't buy them anyway. Quote
