ApophisV Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Here is my latest MOC: Heavy Armored Spacecraft 1 - "Polaris" This one was made only from parts of the Star Wars Minis (multiples of the first wave and the Ep.3 Minis, second and third wave each set once). It was inspired by this sketch found at the CS concept gallery. Honestly, this baby was a work that damaged my nerves permanently! It is a big SNOT construction and (maybe besides the cockpit) I can't even tell which part of that thing is the base with SOT (studs ON top ;)). It kept falling and falling apart... |-/ BUT I finished it and made pictures and now everything is just fine! ;) But now I let the pictures talk themselves! ;) | | | | Gallery after Moderation Comments as always welcome!!! Yeah, forgot to mention... :$ Actually a canopy is the only part the minis are missing.... So I took the freedom of taking one from another set ;) (HERE you can see an example of a part made cockpit, not transparent though...) Quote
SuvieD Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I like the wings on this a lot! They look very cool and greebled. I may have to use a similar design in something soon. I think you have a strong likeness to the art concept. Well done with that. The fact that you built this from only Mini sets (except for the windscreen) is what makes this really stand out. Somebody with more parts and specialty pieces may have been able to build this more accurately or whatever but a lot of people wouldn't be able to get the likeness you did with just minis. *y* Quote
