At this point and after reading the reviews from the guy that visited Lego Offices, I want to point out to all the comunity that this guy saw the next: BESIDES BATMAN, NEW VIKINGS, NEW KNIGHTS' KINGDOM, NEW EXO FORCE, SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS, JABBA'S SAIL BARGE AND THE OTHER NEW STUFF FROM 2006!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me shout this :-D

C3 appears to be a toy company that has copied the Lego pieces but with very horrible products, even the Batman ones are just Megablocking hateful. *osborn*

i cant wait for the batcave. i hope it is awesome, but i have a feeling it could go bad easily

Who said there would be a Batcave? Or are you talking about the horrible one that C3 put out? I can tell you that one sucked. It was three levels - the base plate was warped and kept the bricks from attaching correctly. This threw off the other two levels. It wouldn't stand unless the parts were superglued together - not very modular or fun IMO. I ended up tearing mine apart and building something else entirely.

Here are a few shots of my 'rebuilt' cave (hope it's ok to post 'em here - if not just lmk and I'll remove 'em):

These photos were taken before I had all the miniflyer sets. Since I'm planning on taking them down soon, I really don't see the need to reshoot the photos. :-D

That's true. I saw it all - as did the ambassadors I was there with.

Since I'm relatively new to this (and in talking with another friend from LOG who is a longtime AFOL) I've learned that many AFOLs are looking at new sets to see what pieces are 'new' or can be used differently. Some of the ambassadors I was there with expressed this sentiment as well. Is it common in the LEGO community to look at sets, not as the set but as pieces to be used elsewhere?

I just read this on MCN and some of you will be very horrified:

As some of you know, I was lucky enough to go to Enfield CT back in December to meet with LEGO Execs and give them my impressions on the new Batman, Spongebob, and Avatar lines.

Well, to make a long story short - I am really excited about all three lines, but Batman especially.  Everything looks really nice, from the caped crusader himself to all of the enemies he'll be facing.  Spongebob is a lot of fun, and Avatar (which I've recently started watching on Nick) is just straight up awesome.

But here's the new tidbit that you probably could figure out:  Batman and friends will be flesh toned.  Since their characters in comics and movies are fleshtoned, these characters will be too.

I'll post more when I'm able to.

I myself dont mind......

actually its quite common..I am 14 so I'm hardly an AFOL maby I'm a TFOL (teenager fan of lego ;) ) but I look for parts in sets a lot not just for the set its self, I think a lot of other AFOLs on here to the exact same thing, hope that helped.

Reideen, I know it's a deal that you have, but Do you mind of sharing with the Fol's out here at Eurobricks a little bit of the other licenses and products that were shown??? You also said something about the Star Destroyer and Jabba's Sail Barge, but we also wanna know how is Sponge Bob (is it from system or duplo??), what about Avatar (does it worth anything??), or maybe how many Knights' Kingdom sets were there or Vikings'....what about the lovely Vikings...whatever please, I beg you :') :'( |-D

As an AAFOL (ancient AFOL) I look at both. Some sets deserve to, for at least a while, be built and displayed (Scudaria Ferrari Truck, for example) or be incorporated into bigger jobs (like the good castles of yore).

Others you build quickly out of curiosity, and then quickly subdivide into the parts bin (especially Technic in my case, but also sets with lots of useful bricks like Building Bonanza or the Designer sets).

Actually, I have been quite skeptical about the Batman sets, Avatar sets, and Spongebob sets either as display pieces or as parts packs, but seeing your enthusiasm gives me some hope.

I don't mind telling what I can at this point - obviously as release dates get closer, we'll all be able to talk more freely.

I also don't want to hijack this thread by discussing all the other stuff I saw. What's the best way to talk about it here? Should there be seperate threads (one for Spongebob, one for Avatar, etc) or just one general thread about the new product?

I'm curious as to which Batmobile 7784 is going to be. It sounds like its going to be larger than minifig scale. Here's hoping for an interpretation on the 1989 Burtonmobile! Still, this line sounds amazing, and given the number of sets, it looks alot more promising than the Spiderman line. Batman may be the one line I seriously consider purchasing this year.

Later.

Thats the good thing about lego owning the batman line, theres just some many different batmobiles for them to choose from and the good thing is that most of the batmobiles are very good.
