Jipay Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 I posted this news on Brickish and they all think its a fake..... They also have the right to be dumb you know. We stoped to count the number of time people said our infos were faked. They all proved to be right. Weirdly people who said it was fake usually forget they said so... Now it's real. Still this image only shows a sneak pic of the upcoming line and it's not representative of what theactual MF will be. Of course the real MF shouldn't bend like that
languages Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I hope they keep the minifig design the same though.......

languages Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 A bendy minifig would be fun....then you could make a neo and make him bend in 'bullet-time'.......
KimT Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Batman - can't wait.... Must have a Joker and Penguin minifig as well - go Marvel theme.... Beware criminals of Gotham City the Bat is here! KimT
The Middleman Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Batman - can't wait.... Must have a Joker and Penguin minifig as well - go Marvel theme.... Beware criminals of Gotham City the Bat is here! KimT I'm pretty sure we won't get a Penguin in the first line.
languages Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I love you avatar Jay....how do you manage to create them?
The Middleman Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I love you avatar Jay....how do you manage to create them? It's a reeeeeeeally simple animated GIF made in Fireworks MX. Still tweaking it a bit, the zoom is a bit choppy.
chewie Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 :oD omg, this sounds so amazing, can't wait to see the sets within the next week:D
Starwars4J Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Sweet, but I can't believe how...un-Legolike the fig looks Anyone else think so? And maybe they finally listened to everyone when they say they hated the flesh-tones
sam89 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 It looks "un-Lego like" because it's a computer generated image. I think it's flesh tone though, not yellow.
snefroe Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 it reminds me a bit of the drawn minifigs of the lego comic books. Perhaps this is a more modern version of such a booklet. there's also something wrong with his face. does the drawing suggest a chin? weird *wacko*
Jipay Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 this computer draw model is based on the same technique used for the revenge of the bricks movie
The Middleman Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 It's the same animation as in Revenge of the Brick. In there, the minifig faces were shaped differently too, but did the Obi-Wan fig have a nose or ears? I think not. I don't think you guys have anything to worry about. ;) EDIT: ah, I see Jipay posted it as well.
optimus-convoy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 wow! :oD Can't wait to see pics of the sets
kotua Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Interesting. I wonder what the sets will be, and whether they'll be expensive..
Graynar Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Licensed LEGO is always expensive. Take Star wars for example, the Arc-170 was the worst priced set I've ever seen. :oo Anywho, isn't Batman a little too violent for LEGO to dish out? I though Dino attack was getting close to military LEGO, but Batman's pretty violent. Ah well, I hope the sets are cool, and having a LEGO batmobile would rock! Graynar
Jipay Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 The batman serie wasn't violent at all. Movies weren't that much. Just look at star wars episode 3 and the burned anakin
DoubleT Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Remember they did Spidey also... and it was the same....
gylman Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Holly cow - 120+ responses for this thread. Now THAT'S a hot topic. Please consider me skeptical. I am not totally convinced this is not a hoax. Not sure it it's good or bad if true. Probably will sell well, but I would have preferred no more licenses, and I doubt there will be any cool construction with this theme. Likely it will be a more spiffy version of alpha team. Gyl EDIT: did I say "spiffy"? Sorry about that.
General Grievous Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 :oD My dreams have come true!!!! Finally LEGO has made the license I have been waiting for all these years!!
Stainboy Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Which Batman do you think this'll be? It looks like Tim Burton's. I hope it is, his Batman films were always my favorites. But it's more likely the new ones, by Nolan. They better have a Joker!
