NOTE: This MOC is currently being refurbished and rebuilt in order to give it a more realistic look and feel. Please consider this presentation merely a demonstration of what our general idea was; but do bear in mind that the kiosk is currently being worked on, so that we can bring you something much... juicier!!!

Since this one already got Dadster's attention, I thought I should post it... It's our latest complete creation anyway, so we'd love some feedback regarding this one - as simple a build as it might be, we still feel it's a very vivid structure which could liven up any city park :]

Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you...

orange juice!

Not out of a carton from your local store, nosiree, THIS one here is proud to be called "juice"! Just watch those oranges getting squeezed and you'll know what I'm talking about.

A lil love story brewing there between the lady at the kiosk and the businessman who's peacefully enjoying his break? Or will Tim ruin everything by spilling a glass of juice all over somebody? Visit the MOCpages presentation, perhaps it might shed some light... or not?

P.S.: Sorry for the huge pics. Problem is, I didn't notice that they actually loaded in full size before being shrunk to normal scale. Won't happen again (and yes, I have read the guidelines).

Thanks

The size issue is now resolved, I should have checked up if everything was OK before posting this.

Once again, my sincere apologies to everyone who had to load those ridiculously huge pictures and be beguiled by our unique skills at dust and hair shaping. Thank you for your sweet comment, Jerac, I take it that you never make mistakes, which is really marvellous for you :) Unfortunately, I am not considering shaving my head and dust is pretty much as abundant as oxygen. Guess that's life.

Wow. This is a very original and creative MOC! I must admit, I've never thought of this, and I've played Rollecoaster Tycoon very virtually every food and drink kiosk were shaped like the products they sold. So this is a refreshing breath.

I want some orange juice!

1 month of free orange juice for 1 month of free gas at your gas station. I won't be needing the carwash, just gas is fine. How's that sound?

Ask yourself how much your post adds to the conversation. If you have nothing more to add than that, it's better that you don't post so as not to clutter up a discussion with random chatter. Please think of posting more constructive comments in the future. Thanks.

well, if you read between the lines in my "I want some orange juice now" comment, it suggests that I like the MOC. Instead of saying beautiful MOC, I chose the orange juice line and I am sure that our friend Asya & Bobby understood that I like his creation.

I'm sure I'm making the comment as a warning because most of your posts are of this caliber, so don't argue with me and please improve your posts. Thank you.

Affirmative. Excuse me for being off-topic here, but could I just clarify that this account is in plural, since we build most of our MOCs together (we = me & my girlfriend, Asya). However, seeing as she's not really the forum-writing type, I guess that 99,9% of the time you'll be reading my stupid comments (my = Bobby).

Affirmative.

As I'm trying to moderate a forum, Bobby. I'd appreciate you staying out of it. It's not about if you understood sens's compliment, it's about sense making one-sentence comments all over the forum, which is something we try to discourage. Thank you.

Well, my firend Hinckley sorry for the contents of my posts. I see that I am not of your caliber. As I can see here, this forum is for fun and most people here do have fun. I see that it has to be highly regulated. I guess that there is only one thing to do for me. I will close my account. I did not know that you had to be that much serious to play with LEGO.

Woah, woah, dont be so extreme! I only think Hinckley is trying to make sure there is no irrelevance in your posts. Dont be fooled in to thinking that there is no fun in lego because Eurobricks is not lacking that.

Thank you ever so much, this has been tons of fun from the very first comment onwards. Obviously, this MOC is nothing too fancy but I thought I might share it here and have a fun discourse with other adults. Which was not to be - and I fully accept the blame for that.

I would be grateful if a moderator could please delete this entire thread. Or at least lock it up and send it to the archives.

You're both being way over-dramatic. First of all, sens, I've already PMed you to have a private discussion, so I'm not sure why you wanted to martyr yourself here.

Asya & Bobby, this thread will live on just fine with a little moderation in it. Welcome to the site. Sorry if one of your first threads got a little sidetracked. Great creations, please continue to share. And you can make a separate account if you'd like. Since there are two people, you can have an Aysa Otter and a Bobby Otter account.

Furthermore, I don't believe our site is heavily moderated. We have fun and we have guidelines. Mostly we want to make it a place where discussions flow and posts are constructive and contribute to the conversation. Fun is always welcome, but when a moderator steps in, please pay attention. It's not the end of the world, we just have a large community to coordinate and can use your help, so please listen to us. Thanks again.

Well there's fun... and there's fun that other find annoying. We want everyone here to have fun, and if someones fun is not as fun to others then it's our job to remind people of that. Looking at your recent posts most of them are under ten words, and that's the point Hinckley is making. The "I want some orange juice!" by itself is OK, but you've made many others like that in the last few days.

Asya & Bobby Otters If you want we can remove all of these negative posts and move them elsewhere. We'd rather not close or delete topics.

We now return you to a thread about a beautifully done orange juice stan...

Great job on the orange stand. It's the kind of building that you see at county fairs or amusement parks where you know exactly what is going to be sold as soon as you see it, and you've carried that recognizability right into your MOC. Well Done!

A nice little scene and a nice idea for a "city life" MOC. I like the interior and the setting, but I think the giant "orange" would look better with some more slopes and/or those curved slopes (e.g. from Speed Racer car).

I like the businessman relaxing (not a banker I hope :) - the sunglasses head goes surprisingly well with the much older suit.

Thanks for your comments guys. As I said, this one was just a quick build and even though we're quite happy with it, that does not mean it's perfect. We had just purchased those orange bricks specifically with this MOC in mind and unfortunately those are pretty much all our orange-coloured parts as of this moment. Of course, I will be buying some sloped bricks off Bricklink in order to complete this MOC, but in the meantime I just wanted to hear your thoughts regarding its shape & the general idea.

@ brickzone: You'd be surprised at how good some of those "older" torsos look when combined with modern heads! I know I was! Most of my minifigs are from the 90s and we've only just started acquiring newer sets, but I've sort of found out that combining old designs with newer ones really adds up to the fun value of building an MOC :)

Once again - thanks for your input. More sloped orange bricks on their way soon, I hope.

I love it! What a clever little building, and very unique. Aside frome a pumpkin and maybe a Sponge Bob house, you don't see orange used in too many creations. This is fantastic. I like the simplicity of it, yet it has a great amount of detail at the same time. I'm sure this one has a story - I'm going to have to check it out.

Blogged!

That is a very good moc. The building structure reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants though. However, this is the first time which I have seen an Orange Juice Kiosk and it is best implemented in a park or beach surroundings. Your current settings in this moc is defintely suitable for this concept. Thanks for sharing with us, and I will be looking forward to more of your town creations.

Thanks a lot for your kind words, guys, that does mean a lot to us. And as to blogging this one... yet once again, I can only say WOW! Thank you for this honor, Brickster!
