dviddy Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Jinzo, you need to stop hiding that genius of yours. You should seriously show the rest of the MOC. Unpublished is bad. Just keep it off BZP so you can enter after your self-imposed 3 contest exile. <<DV>> Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Yeah, I'm getting sick of staring at it's sexiness. I might just enter it in this BZ contest. Not because of possibly getting prizes or anything... there's something I wish to observe first-hand regarding "things". It'll be easier to see if it's my moc I'm observing. I might be speaking too abstract, but you'll just have to trust me on this one. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 You and Unicron were totally about to make out. Hey, Jinzo, welcome to EB. I'm a BZP leaver too, so I know how you feel. Holy Gate Guardian was the name. Hope you enjoy it on EB, you'll find the Bionicle section a bit drafty, though... Quote
Jipay Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 yeah, that's a point we are trying to work on... But I think a draft section is good for you guys. it only means YOU will decide what it'll become :) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 InDEED. ::cracks knuckles:: I see the overall distaste on this site aimed at Bionicle, and I TOTALLY can't megablocking blame that impression on you. The majority of mecha mocs on Brickshelf with Bionicle / Technic as their base are POOR. There's no doubt that in time, through mocs of mine (as well as Darth Vader's), that a good lot of you will be converted partially, and in some cases totally, to understanding just what's possible with them. I must admit, joining this site also added fuel to my current system mindset of adding even more bricks to my Technic guys. I honestly see fusion as becoming the future of Lego sets as well. Hell, just look at the Exo-Force sets... both brick AND Technic joints. Quote
dviddy Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Hell, just look at the Exo-Force sets... both brick AND Technic joints. Although you can't deny the overall crappacity of those sets. Poor LEGO. There's no doubt that in time, through mocs of mine (as well as Darth Vader's), that a good lot of you will be converted partially, and in some cases totally, to understanding just what's possible with them. That is the intent, is it not? Now, we should drag ol' Cajun on over. We'll have converts left and right. Because he's Cajun. But it's true. The Bionicle-based MOCs are, for the majority, built by younger kids, with no real skills. They just want to make a new toa-thing. So it's easy to see how people can think low of it. But their's such a veracity hidden in it. It can do anything. People just don't see it. <<DV>> Quote
Zane Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 Jinz, how'd you get banned from BBC on BZP? Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 11, 2005 Author Posted November 11, 2005 Jinz, how'd you get banned from BBC on BZP? Well I'll be damned. No clue. Just as there was no PM when my post was deleted, so is there no PM now. PM'ed Tufi. Though I've sent her a PM before with no answer on something else that was trivial, so who knows if there'll be a reply. Meh. Nothing suprises me anymore. <__< Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 11, 2005 Author Posted November 11, 2005 I don't know. Let's see... told one or two kids how to enter the contest officially... told a kid the capes he made weren't Lego and he should change them before officially entering... and... ... that I was going to enter this one. Unless all the stuff in here and on In_the_Bricks is considered "contest whining" or something silly. Meh... it's getting hard to care anymore. I mean like what, all of a sudden, after spending a few years of my life on there, donating prizes, modding, "helping" contest runners to the point I did nearly everything anyway, running contests myself, defending some of the more "iffy" rules Bionicle Rex had in place... like all of a sudden in under 1 month's time I'm a "bad" member because I get vocal when contests get disrespectful and my and other people's posts vanish without explanation? Is that all it takes for everything to be blown to hell? *wacko* Well, like I said, I PM'ed Tufi to see exactly what the deal is. If there's an answer, cool. If there isn't... well hell... I have no idea what's next. Sure was fun working on my moc feverishly all of yesterday and last night just to jump on this morning to find I'm "banned from BBC". Quote
Ecto Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Oh dont laugh LV. Its real. :/ Poor Jinzo. Welcome Jinz! Any answer from Tufi yet? Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Oh dont laugh LV. Its real. :/ Poor Jinzo.Welcome Jinz! Any answer from Tufi yet? Kinda'... redirect to a response from mfuss. This has already been gone into in-depth on the other Lego site I go to, but I don't feel like dragging the silliness out much further by repeating everything all over again. Long story short, I did not get the impression that communication has been properly conveyed between the staff, and this trickles all the way down to me. On a good note, the contest issue's being addressed and they're proposing ways of doing them better. I wish them the best of luck, should the feedback suggested be taken to heart. I can't say I'll still be there though if the next contest starts and my status is not restored. Quote
Supreme Oompa Loompa Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Oh, and on a side note- what's with the wolf-crotch dude who looks oddly like the Governator? Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Oh, and on a side note- what's with the wolf-crotch dude who looks oddly like the Governator? ? OOOooooOOOOoooh, you've been to the other site I mentioned, I see. X D Beats me, I think it's a comic book character. Someone had him as their sig on a non-Lego board I go to. LOL ::wolf crotch rides off into the sunset... contemplating asking to have this long topic closed or not:: Quote
