AoNZ Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 ToyWorld having a Waitangi sale. 20%-50% everything in store. Lego will probably be at the 20% end. Ends tomorrow
Legonz Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Warehouse has 20% off all Chima at the moment. Loads of sales going on in Australia - wish it was easier to get things from there! Or that we had similar deals and range...
pigpen Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Lego City Cargo Truck 60020. TWH have it for $42.00 (RRP $59) on their webpage today, called my local TWH and they will honour this price as long as I bring in the printed page. Heads up for anyone else who wants this at more than 25.00% off. even though they had it on red alert yesterday that worked out to less than 25% off after postage was added. Pigpen
Legonz Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Jabba's palace for $149 on the warehouse red alert deals today; several smaller Hobbit sets + a few other LOTR, city and super heroes sets also.
OpusMcN Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Mighty Ape have a big lego sale today, About 4 pages of sets with reasonably discounts (Check their "Christmas Stock must Die" section) Edited February 24, 2014 by OpusMcN
harmacy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Found all the current release Lego Movie sets in Tauranga TW today, was very tempted to pick up the ice cream truck, until I saw they also had the BTTF Delorean. Well, now they have one less. Great build and looks pretty cool, especially in BTTF2 mode. Getting the figs inside the car and sitting properly is a pain, but once in, they look really good. HolmesA8 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 The Warehouse has just stocked the Lego Movie sets and other new sets, and in doing so, have marked down many of the older sets like the Lone Ranger and Galaxy Squad to 50% off. The Lone Ranger Silver Mine Set is 66% off ($49.95) I grabbed one, but may pick up another or two at that price.
Legonz Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Thanks for the tip on the Lone Ranger silver mines at the warehouse; I've been watching them for a while - they were on clearance for $99 for. C Thanks for the tip on the Lone Ranger silver mines at the warehouse; I've been watching them for a while - they were on clearance for $99 for a couple of weeks but I guess they didn't shift. The good news is the 20% discount on lego they have on this weekend stacks with the clearance price so they scan at $39.95 - I picked up half a dozen :-)
Legoman Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 Pretty crazy deal. I got 2 when they were $50 but had to buy another at $40 (73% off!). I also picked up the smaller Teepee set, down to $20.. Dare I say it, even at $20, I didn't feel it was a bargain. That set was horrendously overpriced. They also have some of the space aliens on clearance. I'm really keen to buy a pile of the LR 'City showdown' set, but haven't been able to find any in CHCH Warehouses. I don't even know how much they are, but I'm sure they'd be cheap. If anyone's warehouse still has a couple (or heaps) left, feel free to let me know!
Legonz Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) Great to see a few more replies on this thread! I guess the lack of activity is reflective of the general lack of real clearance stuff we see here compared with Australia and the USA. Legoman, I saw some Colby city showdown on special in Toyworld up here in Auckland (30% off I think) but only in one - they weren't on special in the other branch I visit. Not bad but not a patch on the $28 they were on clearance for in Australia [turns green with envy...!] Edited March 22, 2014 by Legonz
Legoman Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Hmmm, not so keen at 30% off, thanks for mentioning it though. .. I had the opportunity of loads at 50% off, but turned that down hoping they'd get lower (Decided I'd get 2 at anything under $50, and several more if much lower). Now that they're lower, they're gone! I only wanted them for parts anyway, so I'm not too upset, but would be keen to grab a couple. I guess the next place to watch is Toyco - they cleared POTC at 60% off, hopefully they'll do the same with LR.
HolmesA8 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 The local Upper Hutt WH had about 8 Showdown sets let on Saturday. I grabbed another as they were down to $40, the same as the silvermine(which is also a nice parts set). They also had around 20+ of the teepee set too, but only the canoe interests me in that one, and not enough even at $20, maybe at $10 I'll bite ;-) What's disappointing is they still had some of the small soldier sets too but at $19.95!!! Havent seen such big discounts on a Lego range like this in NZ for a few years.
Legonz Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Great to see some more activity on this thread again; I agree we haven't seen clearances down to that level for ages here. The LR silver mine warehouse clearance of 149 down to 99 down to 49 and then the 20% stacking on top to bring it down to 39 is amazing. A little broke now, but it will definitely help stock the bricklink store I've recently started :-)
HolmesA8 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'd love to start a bricklink store, but fear it would be too much trouble, and hard to compete with US sellers who have Walmart clearances every other day! ;-)
pigpen Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Anyone here selling / parting out linear actuators? I am after one large and one small. If they are damaged thats fine as it is not for a lego project / MOC. Edited March 31, 2014 by pigpen
harmacy Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Oh wow - just saw the price for the upcoming Sandcrawler. $599 NZD. Ouch. For comparison - Its $299USD (equivalent to $345NZD) and $449AUD (equivalent to $479NZD) Not cool Lego, not cool.
jonwil Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Seems like the answer is to import one from overseas (if you can find a way to import one from the states, you will save a fortune even if postage ends up being massive)
harmacy Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Yeah - My brother lives in California, so may get him to go to the Disneyland lego shop to get one, debox and post over. It would have been nice to support a local business, but not when savings of $250 can be had!
pigpen Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Anyone parting out the set 60026, I am after the crane only.
Legonz Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'm sure everyone knows, but some good bargains to be had at Toyco ATM, mini modulars are the cheapest I've seen them.
HolmesA8 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Just a quick update to the Warehouse clearance of Lego Lone Ranger: Silver Mine is now $24.95 (83% off) Bank is now $24.95 (75% off) Indian Teepee is $12.95 (67% off) Calvery Builder set is $9.95 (66% off) Plus Galaxy Squad also further Reduced. My local store, UpperHutt still had 5 Silver mines, a couple of banks, and 20+ indian tepee's this morning at 11am. I grabbed another one of each, plus myboys birthdays coming up, so got a galaxy squad set each as an extra to their real pressie.
Legonz Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Thanks for the awesome update! Will have to pop down to the local warehouse tomorrow and see if there are any Banks floating around...
Coopa182 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 3 for $10 minifigures at The Warehouse until 29 April. Any ideas when we can expect to see The Simpsons minifigs here?
harmacy Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 3 for $10 minifigures at The Warehouse until 29 April. Any ideas when we can expect to see The Simpsons minifigs here? Had a chat to the folks at Tauranga TW about the Simpsons set and figs - they reckon June.
