If you still want HP sets you're going to have to move fast. What Nikkiwi says is correct; Lego NZ ordered in a lot less of the HP sets than the stores thought they were getting, so there is a bit of a shortage in NZ, and they will not be getting in any more. So once it is gone, there won't be any restocking, unfortunately.

You really Can't blame them I guess. It's not like the company's out to lose money.. Unfortunately :wink:

Moore Wilson in Wellington still has a couple of HP sets on the shelves, as does the TW Megastore. I understand TW Kapiti sold out on the first day.

If anyone spots any of the impulse sets from this year, do shout out. I fear we may not be getting them, which would be a shame.

I would have thought that if retailers think they can sell more sets, they would have gone to LEGO NZ and said "how many would we have to buy from you to make it worthwhile bringing more in.

Yeah, they did, and the answer was Lego NZ isn't getting in anymore sets. Seriously, some of the store owners are panicking as they can't fulfill pre-orders for some of the sets like The Burrow, they've been frantically trying to get more stock from other stores! It's madness, really. :wacko:

I guess it's possible some stores may look at getting some in from their Aussie stores. I've heard of that happening before... Strangely enough

My guess is that the long lead time (being that this stuff likely has to come in on container ships) means that its not worth it for LEGO NZ to order more product in since by the time it gets to NZ, the stores wouldn't be as interested anymore (I suspect it wouldn't arrive until after xmas at this point)

But yeah, just find someone in .au willing to buy sets for you from wherever they are on sale next and send em to you.

I really wanted a secound one of them for my Kashyyyk.. (for a decent price..) It's a very nice set really... Much better than the recent one IMO

When I spoke to Toy planet, I was informed that they were told that seeing as the final HP movie is out, HP is therefore on its last legs, and therefore there wouldn't be any demand for HP lego - so LEGO NZ didn't bother to bring any more HP lego into NZ....

Oh darn you lego NZ! Someone here really needs to infiltrate the company and start calling the shots so fans can get what they want. :devil:

Thats intresting. I guess they're finally realizing that to sell sets at a profit, they really need to be on sale for the 'hype' of a movie, and be sold out before a movie gets old. Just look at the sales that have happened to Indy, Toy story, POP... Movies get too old too fast, New Zealand moves stock too slow to make the most of these short movie themes. However, I had somewhat expected Harry Potter to be a bit more lucky, seeing as there's another movie coming out rather soon, and Happy Potter has become quite a classic. However, intrestingly enough, I did see The Small $25 HP set and the Big HP train set at Toyworld today :wink: So they are scattered around a bit

Well I just hope they learn there lesson and get alot more stock in for the next wave of HP sets for the last half of the movie next year in July.

The HP is around everywhere in Australia so if you cant find it in kiwiland, you could always find someone in .au to ship some across the pond :)

Agreed, I should have snapped them off the Warehouse site, I didn't know that Lego NZ would do this though, I guess they got scared with PoP making no profit until reduced to practically nothing.

Gutted for you Legoman! That would have been a good buy! You should have gone up to $80.

Just found a $1 reserve Tower Bridge if anyone is interested in it. I would have no idea how high it would get though. :look: (Because Im a TM noob :tongue: )

I think my best bet is to look out for the HP sets in store and if I find nothing, then ask my sister to bring some from Auz.

I actually resent the feudalistic connotation of that. But have to get used to it, because I don't plan on becoming a very active member... :-)

Thank you. The only way to distinguish is to know your source. Basicly all version 1's were withdrawn and called back to the headquarters. I've kept the version 1 for my own collection.

Yeah, that guy has a few good auctions.. I generally tend to ignore things that small though :wink:

Generally good deals either go for what they're worth or sell in minutes, so word probably wouldn't get around fast enough :classic:

Hey I was at Toyworld Marshlands/Homebase today and they had 1x The Burrow, some Quidditch Matches and Freeing Dobby. Also went to Farmers who had 20% off Toys (not sure for how long though) and the City Corner for $69.99, which made it $56! Didn't buy it though :sadnew:

Nup, i've got Rex from Ravi. And besides, with the geonosis set coming out next year, the price for Rex will come down fast! I suggest you try to sell him or trade on BL quickly so you can still get a good price. :wink:

I might take you up on that! A $15 cody would make my christmas! Then the trio would finally be complete: Fox, Rex and Cody! :cry_happy:
