Thank you. The only way to distinguish is to know your source. Basicly all version 1's were withdrawn and called back to the headquarters. I've kept the version 1 for my own collection.

Thanks - I haven't gotten around to building mine yet, but as it was purchased from the London Lego store on their opening day (18th November) I'm pretty sure it's a version 2!

20% off seems so inadequate after Brickbeard's Bounty at TWH for $30, under half price PoP, and half price TS. Currently I have an unhealthy amount of unopened sets, so unless there's a fantastic bargain, I'm staying away from all Lego outlets. There is still Trade Me though

Hey all - Just finished my 10197 Fire Brigade layby, and built it up today.

Um yeah..... not really that impressed when its sitting with my other modular buildings. In fact - Im quite disappointed. :cry_sad:

If anyone here is wanting this set, and would consider trading for a Green Grocer or Grand Emporium in new or used condition - Let me know!!!.

On another note - The 8087 TIE defender is in the next TW catalog for $39.99. I think it starts next week. No way in hades I'd pay the RRP of $109 for it, but $39 is quite tempting.....

Did anybody manage to get any Lego at the TW Cranford St sale? 50% off storewide. I got there at 9.45 this morning and there was no lego on the shelves at all. Lines were huge. So much for a 4 day sale - more like 4 minutes in the lego section. Ah well, It was fun to try :classic:

Goodness, why on earth are they having such a big sale!? *huh* That's crazy for a toystore, they won't be making anything off that. Are they closing down, or just trying to move stock? Insane, 50% off is a dream we see fulfilled very rarely.

Wow 50% off is absurd! I really wonder what was going through their minds when they did that.. :look: Its funny how all the lego was gone in such a short time. You would think the only people buying lego that early in the morning would just be kids but they usually cant spend $100-$200 at a time on lego. Oh well, at least you had a slight chance of picking up a bargain. I got a lot of time on my hands now school is finished! Gonna be hunting TM for some good bargains!

Or the staff got it all.

Yeah, I'm not ruling that out - Or someone coming in early and just buying 95% of all Lego Stock. Hey - I'll admit it, I would have spent more than my fair share if I could have. 50% off was a joke! From what I've found out, it was just a stock mover to make room for new stuff before christmas  Pritty crazy though - The Cranford St Toyworld has always been odd - they never follow the catalouge, and always have random sales. I reamember picking up a few AT-AT's half price there for no reason when they first opened. Not an old set at the time, mint cond. I was quite chuffed

WOW! :oh: That would have been amazing, to bad Auckland don't have TW's like that. :cry_sad:

I wish we would see it more often.

Damn $40 is so tempting :look:

It would be good just for the tie pilot at that price. But Im trying to hold back because Im not a fan of the Defender but I really love that Pilot

Hey Legoman! If your still keen for a Wookie Attack, check this Lot out!

Also, the X-wing that has been on sale for a few years - Here.

Ive been thinking of using the TW voucher on some of the HP sets, if I can find them at my local TW. That way they will be the same prices as what they where online at the warehouse! :cry_happy:

Well I bought the Rogue Shadow off TM for $150. I thought I would like to kick off my holidays with a set and I chose that one cause it may be hard to find in a little while. I chose to not buy the Emperor's shuttle and AT-AT cause they will probably be around for a while until they disappear. But luckily I dont really have to pay for it cause Im stripping wallpaper for it so that shouldn't be difficult.

pretty sure TW Cranford aint a * proper* TW. they aint listed in the TW website. or the Facebook page.

I remember when they Couldn't pay the bills at northlands and had to let all the staff go.

They are a bit odd

Ronc, Your officailly mad. Why didn't you buy the set when it was availible? It sold nearly as badly as the new Tie defender  I remember seeing it marked down to $60 multiple occasions, It even got down to $25 over in the states

Thanks for the heads up on the 7258 CF, but I ended up being offered another one for $80

I really need to stop spending money!!

A 7258 And a 7676 In the last week and a bit :oh3:

I actually have no idea why I didnt. I think it was in my first or second year of collecting and I was on a really tight budget so I overlooked it as a set I didnt need at all. Or either it was just one of those sets that I was planning to get but the next wave pushed it out of buying. Just like GG's starfighter this year really. I was planning to buy it but I would much rather save the money. I am a fan of the game also so I hope its going to be a good set.

Your welcome Legoman! :sweet:

I wish I could haul in those two sets in a week! I might be starting alittle peper run job for the summer so could earn some extra cash! :cry_happy: I may be able to afford more sets next year!

Hi there all,

a couple of questions for the SW guys out there:

1) Does anyone have a YELLOW Jabba Slave princess Leia minifig they are interested in parting with?

2) Is anyone interested in some of the unique/rare parts from a Wookie attack SW set? (I recent purchased a bulk lot off TW for the castle/viking stuff and the SW stuff was mixed in with it)

The parts I have are:

The two 10x10 printed discs

about 30 of the tank treads

the modified 4x4 dish and the hemisphere dome that goes with it

plus some other odds and ends

sorry NO minifigs

The two questions are independent....lol

Cheers

No I don't have any yellow Slave princess Leia's.

How much are you wanting for the parts?

A bit redundant given the 20% off voucher

Has anyone seen either this year's Hero Factory or last year's Bionicle vehicles?

Not if they can add together...I hope they can. :sweet:

I've seen all of last year's vehicles throughout smaller toy stores such as Toyworld, but I've yet to see the Hero Factory vehicles.

Here's a great deal if anyone wants a (very) good parts pack. I would buy it myself If I had any money, which I don't. Hopefully someone here will manage to snab it up. It's a lovely set built - be warned
