harmacy Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 WTB 3x level crossings and /or 16 lengths of straight track for my train layout. level crossing is OOS in christchurch. willing to pay to secure them if other members see them in stores. Hey - was just in TW Porirua, and they had 3 of these on the shelves if you are still looking for it....
AoNZ Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 K-Mart catalogue advertising Star Wars Battle Packs at $18 so looks like it's back to its good old self pricing.
RileyC Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 K-Mart catalogue advertising Star Wars Battle Packs at $18 so looks like it's back to its good old self pricing. I saw that too. I sure hope they have other sets below RRP! I have a bit of money to spend but I have no idea what to get. Ive been tossing up whether to get a set or just buy a lot of generic, yet useful bricks to build modulars with. Does anyone here build them and what kind of bricks would you recommend? Note, I do have the creator family home so I do have a lot of tan already for MOCing.
AoNZ Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I just rang my local K-Mart to check if they are in stock and they are and when I asked for price the response was $25??? I'm going there to check it out.
RileyC Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Well if it is $25 show them the catalogue and demand they honour their price. That definitely what I would do.

That should give you ample tan as to use as a base for your designs and you can supplement this with purchases of smaller quantities of other bricks to accent the tan.
harmacy Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I just rang my local K-Mart to check if they are in stock and they are and when I asked for price the response was $25??? I'm going there to check it out. I was in KMart Porirua this morning, and can confirm that the BP's have $18 tickets on them, so the person who told you otherwise was probably unaware.... I also did a drive around of the majority of the Wellington Lego outlets today (Wellington, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Johnsonville), and noticed that most shops are running very low on Lego stock - especially Kmart. Perhaps Lego NZ havent delivered too many of their post Christmas orders? I did find a few odd sets out and about though - TW Lower Hutt had a few UCS AT-ST's and TW Johnsonville had some train tracks (well, they did before I got there.....). In saying all that though, I do get 95% of my bricks through BL or TM:) BTW - Dragonator - did you get those Maersk sets through Lego.com?
nzkiwiman Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I did a trip around Alexandra, Queenstown, Invercargill and Gore today, looking for Lego sets I could no longer find in Dunedin. This Lego thing is addictive - all these sets I purchased today I passed on over and over again 6+ months ago. Now to find room to display them as I build.
nzkiwiman Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Well Dunedin Kmart was out of the advertised Star Wars Battle Packs.
Legoman Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 I've just got home from the Nelson bay's, And had a bit of a look for lego when I was able. CMFS3 Is definately out and around toyworlds, although I swear our bags don't have dots in them... If they do, they're impossible to read Toyworld Nelson had jacked up a few prices and no sales to be seen. In Motuaka Warehouse, they had an odd amount of Lego that had been discounted due to boxed being ripped open/parts taken. Sad really. I was intrested in a Fire helicopter that was marked down to $20, before I read the label - it said it was missing most of the helicopter parts
Brickthing Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Farmers has all the new Atlantis sets, as well as the Ninjago Training Arena (with the tan skeletons ). There's only a 10% sale on LEGO right now though, so I'll be waiting until later for those sets.
Legoman Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 10% sounds like a bit of a joke these days Especially off RRP. And Considering they just had 30% off a couple of weeks ago... Ah well. You'll survive
RileyC Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 10% sounds like a bit of a joke these days Especially off RRP. And Considering they just had 30% off a couple of weeks ago... Yeah id say.. But I dont get how people can feel the bumps on S3 minifigs. I mean I cant even feel them! Has anyone had any luck finding them? I wonder if we get a modified version that are different to the rest?
Legoman Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 I wonder if we get a modified version that are different to the rest? That sounds possible from the angle that none of us can feel them, But aren't they commonly felt around the EU? I doubt we'd have it different to them...
Dragonator Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 BTW - Dragonator - did you get those Maersk sets through Lego.com? In the end, no. I see the price is still the same, so I assume we are just getting a decent deal on it. I'm hoping it will retail here in NZ at some point, no point paying all that shipping if I don't have to. Johnsonville had no series 3 minifigs sadly, I need to go hunting at some point. I don't want to miss out on getting a couple of elves!
AoNZ Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hey guys. Does anyone know when the K-Mart sale ends for the Battle Packs or if it even is a sale or just retail price? Also regarding the S3 Minifigs the bumps I've noticed don't show up on all of them. I only have one packet out of 14 that has visible bumps and the others are useless.

I think the sale ends Wednesday and it will be $25 after the sale because when I went in to buy some on Wed (before the sale) it scans at $25. I was a day early.
AllanSmith Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Johnsonville had no series 3 minifigs sadly, I need to go hunting at some point. I don't want to miss out on getting a couple of elves! A couple of weeks ago the Warehouse at Lyall Bay had 4 boxes of series 3 minifigs open in the LEGO aisle. The Warehouse at Tory Street had 2.
Grrr Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Just bought my missing Alien from the Warehouse in Te Rapa - they only had about 8 of the collectable figs left...
harmacy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Just got the Farmers catalogue in the mail.... 20% off Clone Trooper BP, Mandalorian BP, Imperial V-wing and Battle of Naboo. And all the new wave Atlantis sets have hit Toyworld. I quite like the temple - those new fluted bricks are purty... Edited January 19, 2011 by harmacy
AllanSmith Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) Toyworld Wellington has 20% off all toys until end Monday. All Toyworlds have a spend $20 on LEGO and get a free Fire Engine set 30001. Edit: Forgot to mention Toyworld Wellington also had 50% off Toy Story LEGO Edited January 21, 2011 by AllanSmith
epic_red Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Went to Toyworld Tower Junction and saw that they had the Public Transport (8404) for $170 down from $200 I think. Otherwise, not much there really
nzkiwiman Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Both Toyworld and Farmers Dunedin had new Atlantis 7976 - Ocean Speeder 7977 - Seabed Strider 7978 - Angler Attack 7985 - City of Atlantis While Toyworld also had 7984 - Deep Sea Raider Purchased the last Deep Sea Striker they had using a TW Bear Club 20% coupon. They had no clue about the free Lego promo. They found some out the back but were still very reluctant to hand it over. Managed to get it though. Has any one got a Whitcoulls that still has Lego. Both Dunedin stores last week had a few Kingdoms sets (the $15 one and the $20 Rescue one), but this week - gone.
