Warehouse Mosgiel, Farmers and Toyworld Dunedin all have the new prisoner transport van ($35)

Toyworld Dunedin also had a couple of Castle (I think - Lion Knights vs Dragon Knights) sets in that weren't there last week - only one of each. Wonder if they came from Timaru store that is now gone?

Farmers has a new 20% off toys sale until the 6th, according to their website. Hopefully the new Hero Factory sets will be out by then, because I was very disappointed that they didn't have them on the last day of this previous sale (yesterday now).

Has anyone seen the new Harry Potter sets in any stores btw?

Yeah, I haven't seen any, can't wait for some pics of the sets!

Welcome aboard maelgrim and Matt The Tuba Guy! Good to see some more NZers coming here. :sweet: Don't forget to introduce yourself in This Topic.

A couple of pages back some of you guys where mentioning S@H bringing prices down, I noticed that the CTT is now $259. Wasn't it $320 before?

Thanks for the heads up on the sale Brickthing! Might have to go and check what they have.

I was on holiday recently and was near Whangarei so popped into the city twice. Both times went to the local TW. First time they had a box of S3 figs but the lady moved the box under the counter when I came in and started talking to a customer, so no luck for me. Second time I was there the S3 box was out on top of the counter, I asked the lady ( a different one this time) if I could give the packets a feel because I wanted some Elves and Samurai, she said that was fine and in the end was helping me out by feeling them all  , but sadly no luck! :cry_sad: So i'll have to try my local Browns Bay TW. Also the Whangarei TW had 3 PoP Ostrich Races for $20 each down from $40, so annoyed at myself for not getting them. :hmpf_bad:

If anyone wants to sell me some Elves or Samurai, PM me!

Back from holiday! Miss me?

I hope you guys picked up some good deals while I was gone, I cant be bothered searching the pages I havent read to find out though. For good NCEA results this year my Mum shouted me the AT AT. Going to build it this afternoon, should be good! Didnt pick up any lego in Aussie cause its only really $20 cheaper and there were no sales so Id rather spend money on other things. I picked up two SW books, the making of star wars, and star wars a visual history. Both really interesting. And I got an R2 D2 projection alarm clock, its really awesome  . But that really ran my money out so I need to build some up for my next sets. But maybe I need some more shelves first... :hmpf_bad:

Saw a Lego Storter in Kmart in the weekend. A big minifigure head that sorts lego into big, medium and small parts.

It was a nice find to see non traditional Lego items in the stores.

It's a pity this thing is so horrendously expensive for what I'd call a novelty item.

Has anybody ordered from shop.Lego.com (i'm sure many have).

Just wondering how long I should wait before getting worried :)

I have Daigon Alley, Medieval market & Winter bakery coming.

It said it shouldn't take more than 13 working days (13th day is tomorrow).

Its likely a big package so maybe it will take a while? anyone with similar experience?

Cheers

Ive done a few orders over the years, and have found that times do vary. For example, back in 2007, I bought a UCS ATST, and it took about 6 days, which was awesome. Last year, I took advantage of the free shipping deal, but waited about 3 weeks for the sets to arrive.

Im guessing that Lego may have a fixed amount of staff who work in dispatch, so they may get behind at busy times. In all occasions though, they have always showed up in excellent condition and well packed.

Some things are worth the wait:)

I had something shipped from England last month, when it didn't arrive after 18 days I sent them an email and they replied with this:

"We are experiencing significant delays with Australian deliveries at present, as it appears that adverse weather have resulted in postal backlogs."

Actually my parcel arrived yesterday, 22 days after it was dispatched. 13 days isn't anything to be worried about.

Edit: Actually, if they think New Zealand is in Australia, that might explain some of the delay.

I'm used to Amazon stuff taking a while, just thought i'd check to see what others had experienced so I can stop feeling sad each day I get home from work to find no parcel :classic:

May I think.

Speaking of S@H, whilst most things have gone down, the 8878 rechargeable battery box has gone from $120 to $150  I was planning to buy three at some stage, but not at $150. Perhaps it's a mistake - I may contact Lego NZ and find out.

Probably was in with the 'May the 4th be with you' promo thing.

Contact Lego NZ sounds like a good idea.

Oh man! $150 is stupid! Just as Im getting into trains too!

I just checked on BL, and prices start from $63NZD. Sorry Lego.com, but Im going down the BL path for these now.

And yes - it was the May promo for free shipping. I got a Green Grocer and some other smaller sets - Plus a really nice sticker sheet of SW characters

While passing through Gore on my way to Invercargill for work today, I took a detour to the Warehouse there.

They had new Creator ( 5765 (Truck/Helicoptor) - $40 and 5763 (Dune Buggy) - $23), along with new Hero Factory (Surge 2.0, Nex 2.0 - $20, Nitroblast, Jetbug, Drilldozer - $25)

Nothing new in Invercargill

Want to get those two Creator sets.

Glad to see you're interested in getting some too - we can band together :classic:

I did think about getting some in my Lego Direct order last year. The parts were sent to family in the UK who gave it to my parents to take on the plane. However I there were issues with taking Li-Po batteries on the plane - such as the possibility of having them confiscated  I will try to find out the rules for having them sent by normal post. There has to be a way - S@H obviously has found one.

I found the Hero Factory sets in Albany Warehouse and Farmers (where there is a 20% off sale) as well. Farmers also had the Log cabin set and the new Duplo range.

No Fire Lord though, it seems the major retailers decided he wouldn't sell well enough. :cry_sad:

In return for a little bit of work I did for the Lego company I have been sent set 21005 Fallingwater in a rather battered box. I don't really need it, so I'm willing to trade it for the only thing I really need right now, the taxi from the Train Station 7937.

I realise Fallingwater is worth more than the entire Train Station itself, at least on the US S@H site, but my town already has Train Station 7997 and my lego collection is now badly out of proportion with the actual physical space I have to store it in.

Toyworld currently have 20% off Lego until the end of Monday, so this weekend is the best time time to buy the train station if you want to swap. I need the sealed bag with the taxi in it, the appropriate stickers from the sticker sheet and the appropriate instructions.

I assume my original arrangement with Logbo is void at this point. I don't mind, as long as I eventually get my taxi without spending $80+ dollars on a train station I don't need.

The box is still sealed, but quite battered... I could open it to make sure all the pieces are intact if anyone needs me to.

As much as I would love to take you up on your incredible offer (Wasn't really a fan of the Archeticture range, but Fallingwater just looked so much better than the others for some reason) I can't understand for the life of me why you wouldn't sell Fallingwater on Trademe for the $200 Ish you would get and buy a couple of train stations for yourself. I'm usually one to bite at a steal like this, But this almost seems (to me) to be literally stealing from you, considering the insane difference in value.

I mean, if you're seriously just wanting that taxi, I'll go out and buy you one tomorrow, but I'd feel bad in all honesty...

$200? The box is kind of munted, and to me it just looks like a whole bunch of beige pieces... it has a high piece count, but most of those pieces are quite small. And beige. Considering they sent it to me in the first place, I kind of think it didn't have a high demand in the first place... also I tend to devalue stuff I got without paying for... (I once won 50 DVDs, kept six and let my friends and co-workers take the rest)

Actually, you're right. I might retract my offer, get the train station and sell Fallingwater, the train bits I don't need and a whole bunch of other bits and pieces on TradeMe. Thanks.

Yeah, Fallingwater was the best one in the theme. I reckon Legoman's right, you should try selling it on TM. :sweet:

Not a problem mate. All the best with the sales

Yikes! I'll gladly swap you a station set for falling water if you are still keen! I too think you will get a decent price for it on TM, but if you still want to go ahead with a trade, I'll be more than happy do that with you!

PM me if you are still keen.
