Good to hear you're alright Legoman. I hope the clean up goes well down there.

P.S as this is a Lego site, how's the Lego? Hows your Death Star you just built again?

Yes indeed, good to hear you and your fam and friends are okay, hows epic_red? I noticed he logged on at 2:05 pm today.

CF- I am fine. I was near Governers Bay (near Lyttleton) when the quake struck, helping out as a camp leader. It was pretty violent but everyone at the camp was ok. As for my Lego, no problems as it was all in storage(awaiting to be displayed) so it's fine, how is everyone else?

LEGO related, most of my lego was on my floor as made up sets.

a couple of my ferraris fell off my table, but no damage apart from a few pieces falling off.

my room was probably the least affected in my house actually.

so at least 2 others in CHCH. hopefully it is a bit quieter tonight.

I wish it did the same in my room.. My room is an absolute mess. Even the stuff hanging from the roof (which was fine last time) is all over the floor. All of the sets that fell down last time (apart from the DSII - I moved that after the first quake) are down again ( :hmpf: ) plus many more sets are on the ground in parts. I've barely been in my room much though. My brother is sleeping in my room during the day since he's doing night-shift patrol in the city (he's in the Army) and then I've been sleeping in the lounge since we have 3 others staying with us. Lego's not much of a priority right now though. But I've still been putting my building to use - Built a Long drop toilet (Of wood, not Lego..) :sceptic::laugh:

We've got power (obviously) but no water.

Hope others are doing OK :classic:

Sounds pretty grim (for the lego aswell). Out of curiosity, Is it your first time using a long drop? They're Fun eh!

So the DSII is parts again? I reckon once this all gets cleaned up in the next few months, you should just do a big grey Moc. :sweet:

And the rest, well, you get to build it, All, AGAIN!

Good luck to you and all the other CHCHers!

Does anyone know of any sales at all? It seems like ages since we've had one and I can't remember if we have had one in the past weeks. Does anyone know of any coming up? Im dying to get my hands on some Lego!

Toy Co has 20% off all toys (at least they did in the weekend).

They have a large selection of Lego.

Warehouse from 2/3 - 8/3

$17 - Star Wars Battle Packs

30% of Lego City Police - specific set numbers apply (scan was too small to read).

If one of those sets is the new mobile police headquarters I think I will have to pick it up.

Hey all, I have recently relocated from Wellington to Tauranga, so had a good opportunity to stop in at a few TWs up the island on my trip up. Picked up a Grand Emporium from Hastings TW for $270 (They now have 1 left - so give them a call if you are looking for one - Its a pretty good price on a now hard to find kit). Also saw a few of the 7897 Passenger trains in Napier TW (!!!!!) - plus they were having a 20% off storewide sale.

Its my 3rd day in Tauranga today, so Im having a bit of a look around to see whats available up here.

$270 is a decent price, always liked the set but don't have the money and space for modular buildings. If your keen on a fire brigade there's a $1 res one on TradeMe on $82 at the moment.

Edit, just found out that the shipping for Mace's fighter set is $6, so a total of $65.90 which is still great!

maelgrim provided a link to a NZ store in St Lukes Auckland, which has an online store, they have Mace's fighter for $60 with $6 shipping. Or you can get one on TradeMe for $90.

Brickthing mentioned that this set is in Kmart for $80 to $90. I think that means this set is exclusive to Kmart and we won't see it in Farmers or Warehouse. At least not initially.

Yeah I know, I just hope we do see it in the red shed and farmers eventually and not just in Kmart. If not, I really hope they have one darn good sale sometime soon!
