CommanderFox Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Toyworld's latest catalog is out for their sale that starts tomorrow. Here's the link: http://www.toyworld.co.nz/assets/_cataloguepop.html I wonder if 'all lego' is Star Wars and the collectible figs included, $2.50 would be sweet as for the series 3 figs... Yeah harmacy, the HQ set is pretty cool, I like it how it can transform as well, pretty cool function! CF
RileyC Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I wonder if 'all lego' is Star Wars and the collectible figs included Yeah that's what I was wondering too. I guess I'll just have to go in and have a look.

I can't imagine Toyworld ever doing a sale like that as a standard offer. I'm 99.9% it'll only be those selected sets shown (plus mabe 1-2 others your local store is trying to clear). Definately not 1/2 off SW and Collectble figs, thats for sure
AoNZ Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Yeah by the looks of it its only those sets. Saying "1/2 price Lego" and picturing a select few sets. Do tell how you get on though and if there is anything else of interest discounted

CommanderFox Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Sorry for double post. I went to Toyco as I was passing St Lukes today, was excited to get Mace's fighter. Got there and man do they have a nice lego section! They even had a cool modular set up with all the modular sets Looked great... So I go to the SW section, no luck, It wasn't there! I asked one of the staff and told him about it being available on their site, but he wasn't much help. So no luck, will have to pay the extra $6 for shipping. But I'd recommend going there if your in the area, they had some old PoP sets cheap, but everything was mostly RRP, so if they have a sale anytime soon it would be a pretty good place to go as they have great stock. Also went to Kmart and can confirm The Battle Of Geonosis is $90, so Im waiting for a sale to get it. CF
RileyC Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Sounds great CF! Still deciding whether I want to get that set or not. Would you say its good value for $65?
CommanderFox Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Sounds great CF! Still deciding whether I want to get that set or not. Would you say its good value for $65? I think it is pretty good, the minifigures are really nice, especially the tactical droid (keep in mind he is only in this set). The parts to price ratio aren't bad maybe alittle under but the tactical droid makes that up for me. Also add that its a $90 RRP so its like an insanely good sale, if you don't like the set, sell it on TM for $80 and you still make a profit! You can't lose. CF
nzkiwiman Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 20% off all Lego at Warehouse from Thursday until Sunday

CommanderFox Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Hey all, I picked up a Series 3 Elf last week( !) Man is he a lovely fig! I was wondering if the barcodes on them are all the same. I know there was the dot system for other countrys, but we couldn't see any on nz packets, so I was wondering if the barcodes or one of the codes on the back (there are 2) is an indication for which fig is inside. So what I wanted to do was check with everyone who has an Elf to see if they have the same details as my packet does on their one. It would be great if we could get a Series 3 cheat sheet. Here's my Elf packet details: Item:4611520 Barcode:5702014734722 will try to scan an image of the barcode sometime tonight or tomorrow. If any of you who have other S3 figs are keen, we can get a list worked out and compare. Hopefully that all made sense. CF

There is only one barcode on the Series 3 figures... the one you quoted is the product code. If you look carefully you will find the dot-code on the pack, but it is very difficult to pick out. And elves are awesome indeed... which is why I have over 60 of the suckers! (shame their ears weren't drawn on...)

They are hard to see and in the end I used the feel method. Lower Hutt Toyworld also have 2 cartons at a time to sell. 1 with sealed packets on the counter and 1 under the counter with packets opened. So it was great to give them a list of my wants

I'll have a look over my packet and find the dots. The feeling method is okay, its just the standing there feeling packets for 15 minutes looking like a dork thing that is annoying. Lucky you Callum! Anytime you want to get rid of afew Spartans and Elves, PM me! Out of curiosity, if you have 60 elves, how many spartans do you have? Some sale info to finally post! Farmers: Police Save 20% on the Police Dog Unit - 7285 Now $16. Save 20% on Police Boat - 7287 Now $48. Save $20 on Mobile Police Unit - 7288 Now $70. Creator Save 20% on Robot - 5764 Now $24. Save 20% on Log Cabin - 5766 Now $48. Pretty decent price for not a bad set. Warehouse: Save 20% on Lego City Toys. CF Edited March 17, 2011 by CommanderFox

Out of curiosity, if you have 60 elves, how many spartans do you have? Some sale info to finally post! Not sure actually... but less. Maybe 25 Spartans at a push. Will gladly exchange them for other figures I am after (Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter etc etc etc) Speaking of specials: The Warehouse is currently having a clearance of Lego. I just picked up the last of the Kingdoms sets (around 45% off retail...) and they are also clearing out their world racer series. (also grabbed a few old Agents sets at around 70% off) Just a reminder to all, I am collecting Minifigures. If anyone is interested in selling some figures or swapping, Please PM me and we can exchange details... (I have spent about $1000 on Bricklink this year... So thought I may as well find a few more "Local" people with some stuff spare. Cheers! Callum

(also grabbed a few old Agents sets at around 70% off) The Creator Truck 3-in-1 6753 is $110, which is pretty good deal for nearly 1300 parts, but I bet that Farmers clearanced it lower in the end (although I've missed it - sold out in our Farmers). Space Police was also nearly 50% off, but they only had 5983 (sorry, I can't recall the price). They also had a Star Wars 3-in-1 Super Pack for $80: Freeco Speeder with the 2011 battle packs, but they also had plenty 8085, which defeats the purpose in a way. Then again they did not have any 2011 battle packs only the 2010 Hoth packs. There will also be a Genosis Super Pack which is certainly more promising... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=66378-1
