CommanderFox Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Toyworld have their April Catalog out! Again, they are publicizing the building competition (anyone entered anything yet?) Also, and this is pretty cool, on page 2 of the catalog, if you spot all 16 series 4 figs in the catalog and mark them, bring in your marked catalog into store and they will give you a Sensei Wu keychain! (while stocks last of course.) CF

Logbo Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 brick-train. im needed several... hundred. but dont have the facilites to resource them outside of NZ. Credit card / paypal is on the wife and my joint account. to much hassle if you know what i mean.
nzkiwiman Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Is the City Bank/Money Transfer set worth $80 (using a 20% off coupon) I wanted to get it while I was up in Christchurch but was trying to weigh up the pros and cons of spending $80 on a set when I only want the police car, the money wagon, the motorbike and of course the minifigures.

I missed out on 600 because the seller is too far behind and I am already waiting over a month for 3 orders from them. I have about 50 spare on the way but will still get more, my hangar building uses 476 in white, I know I have several hundred but arent about to count them to see if I have enough. I am mostly using Dark bley 8x16 tiles for the floor, that was the most economical way for me.
AoNZ Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knows where I'd be able to buy those small snap-lock bags in New Zealand that BL sellers use? I'm after quite a few to fit individual minifigs but so far I've only just collected them from my own BL orders. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Around about 1000 bags for 15$ BTW to those interested, I have lowered my minimum order amount on bricklink to $12 USD. Edited April 17, 2011 by Callum

Generally stationary shops will have a small range, but you'd find more at a place that specialises in plastic stuff like 'The Plastic box' or whatever it's called. Also, Office suppliers (such as officemax) should have a good range, but you'll be buying hundreds at a time
Callum Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 The minimum you need to buy from Office Max is a bag of 100 ... (which comes to about $1.80) So pretty easy to get into :) Plastic Box does have the same bags, but for about twice the price :(
Legoman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Just a quick question: Has anyone seen the new SW sets? I know they've been advertised but I'm yet to see them in a store
nzkiwiman Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Just a quick question: Has anyone seen the new SW sets? I know they've been advertised but I'm yet to see them in a store Sign up at Blenhiem Road Warehouse (Christchurch) applogising to customers as they couldn't deliver.
CommanderFox Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Sign up at Blenhiem Road Warehouse (Christchurch) applogising to customers as they couldn't deliver. Thats pretty bad of them to do that. Hopefully im heading down to the shops today, so I'll see if they have any at my local warehouse, or if it is all nz warehouse's that don't have stock. CF
Legoman Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 I was half expecting it I guess - They're not supposed to be out until June in the US, so probably July here. Stupid Warehouse
harmacy Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Hey all - Has anyone got the 4483 ATAT or the 10212 Imperial shuttle? Im keen to know the height of these models (want to see if they will fit in a cabinet I bought) before I buy them. Ive asked this question in the SW forum a few weeks back, but no-one responded, so hoping some fellow kiwis can assist. Im keen to know the height of the 10212 in landing gear down / wings up configuration. Cheers!
vmln8r Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Im keen to know the height of the 10212 in landing gear down / wings up configuration. Cheers! According to Brickset it measures 28" (71 cm) tall on stand You have a PM re: S@H order
harmacy Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 According to Brickset it measures 28" (71 cm) tall on stand You have a PM re: S@H order Thanks for that, but I need the landing gear down / wings up configuration height - the 71cm in flight position would be to tall for the cabinet I got :) I havent forgotten about the S@H order - just getting a few more people on board for a Maersk Train. Will be in contact soon.
