harmacy Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Just checked my AT-AT, And it's a little under 40cms And as much as I wish I had a UCS Shuttle to check, I'm yet to buy one harmacy the shuttle is 475mm high, 480mm nose to tail and 280mm side to side. I have one sat on my fridge, cos its the only place big enough to take it. Thanks guys! - My new cabinet will accommodate these nicely!
epic_red Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Just got back from Auckland. That promotion is interesting. I went into Browns Bay TW and they gave me 30005 rather than Sensi Wu, but also had a mate who went in there and got a free S4 minifig instead. Interesting!
harmacy Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Hey all - Im just about to do a Lego S@H order, then remembered that last year, they did free global shipping for all orders placed on the 3rd or 4th May (As part of their 'May the Fourth' promotion). Has anyone heard of anything similar this year? It would be nice to put that $80 shipping fee towards more bricks:) Oh - and the PF Train motors and rechargeable battery boxes are listed as 'Sold out'. Grrrrrrrr.
Callum Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Hey all, just letting you know that there will be a nice sale on Lego this Monday/Tuesday at The Warehouse.
nzkiwiman Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Hey all, just letting you know that there will be a nice sale on Lego this Monday/Tuesday at The Warehouse. Oh, anymore details? EDIT: Just got the email 30% of Lego. Even though I had to pack all my un-opened Lego away in storage tubs I could pick up some Lego on sale. Edited April 23, 2011 by nzkiwiman
Bricktrain Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Anyone interested in a built once for display Grand Emporium, Fire brigade or Emerald Night, pm me with an offer, otherwise they will most likely get parted out into my store. Sticker sheets are intact, not afixed, boxes have been flattened for storage, instructions in good order. Cheers.
AoNZ Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Oh, anymore details? EDIT: Just got the email 30% of Lego. Even though I had to pack all my un-opened Lego away in storage tubs I could pick up some Lego on sale. Is that on specific sets or just all Lego in general? If general then Battle of Naboo will be a sweet $35. Also this is all Warehouses right? Thanks
nzkiwiman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 All Warehouses from 1pm Monday and all day Tuesday 30% of ALL Lego (as well as Nerf and Barbie)
vmln8r Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Not to mention 50% off all Clearance. :) Many thanks - picked up 2x 8864 Desert of Destruction at a comically low price
Callum Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) Many thanks - picked up 2x 8864 Desert of Destruction at a comically low price I grabbed 4 myself, (and a Power Miners Titanium rig for $42!) Edited April 26, 2011 by Callum
AoNZ Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Well I went to five Warehouses around the Wellington region to look for Series 4 and was annoyed to find that I just wasted 2 hours of my time with nothing left except some empty packets and boxes. Someone beat me to all of them and all I found was Series 3
nzkiwiman Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I grabbed 4 myself, (and a Power Miners Titanium rig for $42!) Knew it, PM incoming Mnaged to pick up the City Space Shuttle and Astronaut/Rover sets, along with 14 packed of Series 4 Minifigures. Got a whole bunch of doubles and am still missing a few from the wish list.
Legoman Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Managed to grab a couple of good deals while I was down in Queenstown. Not Much down there though, unfortunately. The sale finished yesterday, correct? Ah well. Cheers for the heads up How much were the sets you guys managed to grab? Edited April 27, 2011 by Legoman
nzkiwiman Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Anyone have the new URL to the next 20% off voucher at Toyworld. With the redesign of the website the URL on the first post no longer works (takes you to the main page)

RileyC Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Managed to pick up the Bounty Hunter Gunship today from Farmers. It was 20% off plus I know someone who can get an extra 10% off on sale items. So that brought it up to 30% off which was pretty good. It's a nice set for sure. It's a different kind of set being focused on bounty hunters. It's a refreshing change to have a green set instead of grey!
pinkshiro Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Hi, I have just found this thread from Googling Lego Star Wars in NZ. Had a difficult time finding any active communities specifically for lego star wars... I'm seriously looking at getting my first ever lego star wars set...the 10212 Imperial shuttle. It looks so awesome - want to enjoy putting it together and displaying it. That being said, I assume I have no luck purchasing from New Zealand? What recommendations can you give regarding where I could pick this set up, of course at the most reasonable price available... Sorry for being dense, but what is S@H? Saw it in this thread a couple of times. Thanks for reading :)

Saw it in this thread a couple of times. Thanks for reading :) Hello - and welcome aboard Eurobricks! We have a very helpful and constructive NZ contingent here, and enjoy talking to fellow kiwis. As for the 10212, I am just about to purchase one myself, so am looking at a few options. I know that Lego NZ will be getting them in later this year, but not sure what retail stores will be selling them yet, or at what price. Usually the bigger sets go to Toyworld or KMart, so its bound to be one or both of those. S@H means 'Lego Shop at Home', which is Lego's online store at http://shop.lego.com. They have the 10212 set available now, but it will cost you around $499 + $80NZD for postage. Yeouch!. However, Lego sometimes has free shipping offers, so it pays to subscribe to their mailing list to keep informed. I got an email a few days back about a Special Star Wars lego announcement on the 3rd of May, so keep an eye out! You can also try www.bricklink.com, and see what private sellers have on offer. Postage varies around the world, but sets can be cheaper (eg - you can get a 10212 from NZD$310 there - but as with any online purchase - do your research first. Bricklink has a good feedback system, so use it!!!!! I also saw a 10212 on Trademe a few months back, but i think the price was a stratospheric $600 odd. I think the key is to be patient, and you will find a good deal:) Good luck!

Wow that's good news that the 10212 is going to be inbound to NZ this year. How exciting. I can't justify the $499 + $80 postage from S@H. If only amazon shipped toys to NZ :( We don't get junk mailers, so I guess the best option for listening out for if/when the 10212 hits NZ retail is to keep checking back on this thread, which I'll do. Thanks again.

Thanks again. Welcome to EB! Yeah this topic is a good way of checking up on sales. Even if you do get junk mail sometimes you miss out on one and you dont know. Everyone posts any sales regarding Lego they see and its really cool for that. 10212 is quite tough to get at this time of year with it not being available yet. This is why we need an official Lego store.
CommanderFox Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I also saw a 10212 on Trademe a few months back, but i think the price was a stratospheric $600 odd. That'll be Legoman. just joking. This is why we need an official Lego store. Maybe a fan built online store with the best prices in NZ, 'New Zealand EB guild lego store', that would be so cool! Pity I missed on the sale last week, was on camp. Welcome aboard pinkshiro! Hope you have a very enjoyable time on EB, don't forget to introduce yourself --> Here. Don't hesitate if you have anymore questions, ask away and someone will answer within the day. CF
vmln8r Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 This is why we need an official Lego store. Or Lego could stop committing daylight robbery on delivery. Welcome pinkshiro - as harmacy said, I'd wait to see what special offer Lego brings out for May the 4th. Last year it was free shipping, in which case it'd probably be the cheapest place to get 10212. I'd guess the 10212 will be exclusive to Toyworld - they seem to have a better customer base, plus Kmart completely bungled their last $500 Lego set, and although 10212 is a different proposition, they may not want to take the same risk again.

Thanks for the welcomes all. Man, I've got 'the bug'. Spent the day going around a couple of malls, seeing what sets they have on offer. LEGO 8096-1: Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle seems like the best set available at retail at the moment. But I still think I will wait for the 10212. Would anyone like to predict a price? Idle speculation, I know. Also, looking at these prices on this website: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=94125 - what's the catch with some of those sets? Seem a lot cheaper than S@H...

Seem a lot cheaper than S@H... Most likely no catch, they are very cheap on Mr Eds Bricks, also looking at his feedback, he just has praise, no bad feedback. So if S@H don't reduce shipping or whatever on May the 4th, then he would be the place to get a 10212. CF
