The local warewhare was crammed full of lego when I dropped in yesterday. All the HP sets, POTC, Pharoah's Quest and new Ninjago. Even up against some fairly stiff competition, the new SW stuff still really stands out for its gobsmacking prices. Try picking up one of the $80 Geonosian Starfighter boxes. There's probably BPs that weigh more. No sign of the Frigate or the MF.

Ouch! That doesn't sound like a great price for parts ratio for the Geonosian set, I guess the figs make up for it though and some nice parts.

Nice to here warehouse is stocked up! Might go round sometime this week and have a looky.

Is 7869 Battle for Geonosis still available anywhere in NZ? I think someone here mentioned it had been cleared from their local kmart months ago.

Cheers. Will send an agent from the southern bureau next time there's a sale.

Kmart Albany has them at full price, just waiting on a sale now. :sweet:

Does anyone here buy direct from US stores? Seems like a good option with the current dollar and the State's special treatment by TLG. The shipping costs I found were surprisingly low too. For example, the Wampa Cave set can be landed from B&N for less than NZ$65. That's not a discount I would expect to see for the TW and Farmers exclusives in a hurry. [Please ignore the noob if this has already been done to death]

Ive bought heaps off Bricklink from US sellers, but havent gone down the B&N path. Having a look though, Im very keen on getting a Fallingwater set this way - The 'to door' price works out at just over $120NZD, which is quite good.

I have heard of other NZ EB members using B&N, and they've reported no issues. Could be a good way to go for smaller purchases. Shame they dont do the 10xxx sets, but that would defeat the purpose of 'Exclusives'.

If you specifically want a Wampa cave, Ive seen them on Clearance at Kmart for $49 though.... I guess its like anything - shop around for the best deals (and them share them here!!!!)

They have indeed just restocked online, first wave harry potter sets are back up and Knight Bus is online for sale aswell! :sweet: I guess the forbidden forest and hogwarts battle either sold out quick or have not been put up online yet. The new SW sets are listed online but only buyable at the store's.

Wow!

Toyworld was unpacking the motherload of Lego shipments today.

They had a restock of a lot of previously sold out sets, including the exclusive Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter (and this time at $60 rather than $65)

7959 Geonosian Starfighter™ $80

7961 Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator™ $150

7962 Anakin's & Sebulba's Podracers™ $180

4866 Harry Potter Knight Bus $80

And Kmart were still working on there Toy Sale display, saw cartons of the following

3846 UFO Attack

3850 Metor Strike

66377 Star Wars 1 Value (seems to be 7869 Battle for Geonosis along with this years Battle Packs) -- Depending on the price, this is a definate get for me

Wow!! Sounds like everyone is getting ready for the big mid year sale! :cry_happy: I sense alot of action coming soon!

66377 sounds excellent, hopefully it will be priced better with the BPs, compared to just the geonosis battle set.

Does anyone know the sale dates for Kmart or Warehouse? Thanks

Pretty sure with the school holidays starting on the 16th, the Warehouse will start Toy Sale on the 13th and Kmart on the 14th ..

I have no insider knowedge however and could be very wrong.

Oh what a time to be unemployed.

Kmart had put out the Value Pack 66377, regaular price is $119. Not sure if this will be cheaper during the sale (which starts on Thursday)

4840 - The Burrow $130

10217 - Diagon Alley - $300 (USA Box)

4738 - Hagrid's Hut $?

4737 - Quidditch Match $?

(Sorry, camera didn't quite catch the prices on the last items)

Not bad, that puts the BPs at $15 each then, which is much better.

Nice to see someone has diagon alley sets in! Im hoping Kmart will have some and then reduce them like the drop ship set.

Compared to the possible items that could have been on sale and compared to the Big W, Kmart and Target sale in Australia this is pathetic.

I concur - thats a let down really..... Was in Kmart Bayfair today and they had boxes and boxes of unpacked Lego waiting to be unleashed - hopefully they do better deals than The Warehouse. Good to see Diagon Alley in NZ shops though.

Agreed.

I might get a quidditch set, $36 isn't bad, but other than that, i think i'll see what Kmart has to offer with prices.
