Cool, hopefully you can get one from them. If that search does not help, you might also try iqtoys.co.nz - they got the 10218 $300 shipped.

awesome, thank you so much

Just looking on TM, and theres a few nice sets on there at the moment - UCS Imperial Shuttles and a SSD! However - it looks like the SSD seller is based in Australia - I see that postage is included, but I hope any potential buyers realise that they'll get stung at customs...

Speaking of the SSD - I see the inventory is up on BL - I know what Im going to be checking out in the next few days:)

While on the UCS theme, my local TW has the UCS Obiwans ship for $199.

Yeah, The UCS Shuttle seller is in Aussie too.. Having 0 feedback and lots of expensive sets and considering whats been happening on eBay recently, I'm not 100% trusting... Guess we'll see.

I'm dying for that set, it's just SO hard to find at a good price.. Lots of demand I spose - I guess thats what happens when they release a UCS that isn't Grey

I'll keep my eye on BL I spose.

Yeah, I also saw the UCS Jedi Starfighter at my local Toyworld in the weekend. It's a nice set, IMO. Overpriced at $200 though.

Got my first of many boxes from Barnes and Noble yesterday - Quite happy. Endor is pritty much exactly the pathetic excuse for new Ewoks I was expecting. The 'tree' parts will get sorted into my parts for MOCing a decent Endor, The speeders will be kept and The figures are quite decent.. Definately not worth $60. I got 2 at for just under $40ea from B&N, and to be honest, they're not worth much more, In my opinion. Though the Ewoks are definately worth getting

Toy World Wellington also got the 8043 again and the new 10231 Space Shuttle for $169.

Hopefully Dunedin Toyworld gets that Space Shuttle. Picked one up in Australia, but it got smashed on the way back and I think I want to keep that set sealed.

Saw the new Brickmaster books (Ninjago and City) at Paper Plus Dunedin. $50 each

Got them in early August from Amazon UK for about $20 each.

That SSD auction finished on TM with no takers. Very interesting to see the 3 unanswered questions were all to do with the inevitable import tax. :sceptic:

Has anyone here ordered one yet from Lego.com?

Does anyone know the date for the Kapiti Lego show this year?

I'd like to bring along some of my models, and to discuss with the organisers the possibility of a Techball tournament.

Perhaps give Toyworld Coastlands a call? I helped organise the show last year and in 2008, but as I moved up to Tauranga at the start of this year, Ive had nothing to do with this years one thus far...

I went to my local Farmers today and found out that they have several deals going on: Flo's V8 Cafe was $120 down from $150, POTC Whitecap Bay was $130, the Space Shuttle was $45 and the Space Launch Center was $100. Also there was some Ninjago on special. Also went to Kmart and got a Godzilla

Farmers have 25% off all toys until end of Sunday. So I'm off to buy some aliens

I wanted to spend money on Lego (as well as Tranformers Kreo) this weekend at Farmers.

Was told on Tuesday that Farmers Dunedin had heaps of stock out the back, but no room to display (all the newish stuff such as Alien Conquest, Kingdoms, Harry Potter etc). On Thursday I asked what the deal was - I wanted some because of the sale. The promised it would be out over the weekend as they were doing the moving of shelves then. On Sunday - nothing, and to make it worse I wanted 30 minutes for a sale person to get me some from out the back .. but he never came back.

So I ordered a few small sets from BBTS and combined with my current order and saved more than 25% anyways.

Corporate is going to hear from me today about the Dunedin store.

Toyworld Marshlands (Christchurch)

50% off selected world racers / Atlantis.

Don't suppose you noticed any of the larger atlantis sets cheap? Wouldn't mind a couple of the larger ones if they were cheap

P.S. If anyone's up for a bit of a gamble, This could potentially be a real steal.. but I can't decide, So I'm thinking I'll leave it. Considering I just bought a GE off eBay, I should probably shouldn't.

EDIT: Looks like someone bit the bullet and took the risk. Good luck to them.

Our local TW has tonnes of atlantis sets at half price too - including the larger ones. Many of them had been shifted to the clearance piles at the front of the store.

Though judging by the stocks remaining at the WH - of which very few seemed to shift in the recent 50% sales - I'd say you should be able to pick up the big atlantis sets for sweet FA in a month or so. Brings back fond memories of getting the SP3 police station, lunar limo and undercover cruiser for a total of $60, down from $300+ at RRP. I love teh warewhare. Long may they heavily discount LEGO.

Picked up a 7685 city of Atlantis set today for $65 - Just for parts. Just about hits the 10c a part mark. Just opened it up now - Not bad, I may head back down tomorrow

Hoping to sell off bags 1&2 to get some money back too (Give me a yell if your intrested), There's a couple of fairly rare figs in there

Had a look at the big portal, But It just doesn't seem quite worth it. The parts don't really intrest me enough. I'd consider it at $75, mind you... Guess we'll see if they sell or not. They also had the Midi Star Destroyer down to $50, But thats still 250% the Kmart price

Anyone else had any finds recently?

No finds as such - Im on a 1990's Lego spree at the moment - am saving up for a few sets I missed out on as a young Lego fanatic - Its just heartbreaking seeing the NZD plummet:(

Just noticed that a used UCS Falcon went on TM for $905. In two minds about this one - Yes, its a good price for a Falcon (considering several threads over in the SW forum), but It does kinda put me off when it states that parts are faded. Dusty I can deal with no problems, but if Im spending megabucks on a lego set, I want it to be in tip top condition.

It might just be me though - what do people think about buying sets that have parts that are not in top condition?, and is the Falcon exempt just because it seems to be the holy grail of Lego ATM?

Is the midi SD still available at Kmart for a song? I picked up one recently and actually really like it. Wouldn't say no to a few more at the right price.

If you can find a Freeco speeder (not the superpack) at the WH, they've been marked down to $30 for a while now.

In the case of the Falcon, a MISB one went recently for just over $1k on TM after a bidding war so it seems rash to pay $900+ for one that is not in excellent nick. Then again, the rarity may mean that roughly a grand is the price that people will pay regardless. This is one case where NZ's isolation appears to work in the buyer's favour when comparing the price the Falcon fetches up North.

As for purchasing sets with bung parts? Sure, at the right price. Sets with damaged/missing pieces or minifigs on TM go for a fraction of the MISB price. It's a good way to build up your collection and BL can be used to restore the set if you so desire.

Is the SW LEGO market on TM a bit slow at the moment? Seen quite a few good deals go begging and $1 reserves sell far below what I'd expect.
