Nikkiwi Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Picked up cinema palace this morning from toyworld tower junction. They seem to be a few lego fans out this morning saw a person with a trolley full and a few other people with cinema palace in there hands Anyone from here? <raises hand> - Toyworld Albany was also doing good business in that regard....
Alternator Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 (edited) All I got was the 31011 Creator Plane. I already had all the big sets that were available. I was toying with the idea of getting a Death Star, but the shop I went to didn't have one - Perhaps just as well. Great to see the Lego story on Campbell Live tonight. However, Im not sure why people balk at the idea of 50k on Lego - There are way more expensive hobbies that dont offer half the cognitive potential as our beloved brick! Looking forward to the Chch show guys!!! I think that the presenter was trying to play/goof it up a bit, I like the fathers collection P.s. Thanks for mentioning, I wouldn't have spotted that interview otherwise. Edited July 11, 2013 by Alternator
Bricktrain Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Anyone else having problems with the S@H website, it will only give me express shipping, I am not intending to pay $120 for express shipping but I cant seem to get out of that option
harmacy Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Its currently not letting me add anything to my cart - saying 'There was an error while attempting to add item to order'. It also briefly flashes up with 'Free shipping for orders over $200'. Perhaps that why you only have an express option, as standard is free??
Bricktrain Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 It does give me that message also but still adds it to the cart, then automatically sets shipping at express, there doesnt seem to be anyway not to pay the express shipping and just get the free shipping. It is working now, it wasnt giving me the dropdown box to choose shipping options, but all good now. I have been spending a small fortune on baseplates for my city layout recently.
darthtatum Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) I have unwittingly just purchased two of the new Lego AT-TE's online. Unfortunately I cannot change the order as it has already shipped. I was just wondering if anyone may be interested in one of them (MISB) if I decide to let one of them go. I will be selling at a loss probably around $130? Any thoughts please let me know. That going to look fantastic on my credit card bill, over $400 of Lego all up in one order :S p.s. Mightyape have $140 off the rrp on the Death Star (roughly, if I remember correctly) Edited July 22, 2013 by darthtatum
Bricktrain Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I see the free shipping at S@H is now only for orders over $300.
pigpen Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Anyone know when and where the new Back to the future set, 21103 (cuusoo) is going to be available in NZ.
harmacy Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) Anyone know when and where the new Back to the future set, 21103 (cuusoo) is going to be available in NZ. Ive never seen any of the CUUSOO sets in shops here - I got my minecraft direct from Lego. I was having a chat with the owner of TW Napier the other day (and he's very on to it) , and he didnt even know the set existed - which pretty much says that it hasn't appeared on any wholesale lists for retail. In saying that, I see Lego have removed this set from their NZ shop page - which may mean they are revising their pricing on it. I did think $53NZD was exceptionally good - perhaps they got it wrong??? However - the Free shipping being updated to $300NZD might be a permanent thing now - it says 'Free delivery all year round, Once your order reaches $300 free delivery will be applied automatically.' Thats a good thing considering all the sets I buy are usually over that anyway! Edited July 27, 2013 by harmacy

If it's anything inline with the Aus price I'm not looking forward to it. (I wonder if the $53 was meant to be the Aus price, and $70, the NZD?) I just checked today (1st aug), and it's back on the store and now available... $54 The 41999 limited edition crawler is also up at $300. I'm pleasantly surprised by both those prices... Sold out in under a day online for NZ?! hopefully there will be some sets destined for store shelves here then or more stock becomes available online! (I was lucky enough to get my order in, but hope that other fans don't miss out) Edited August 1, 2013 by Alternator
pigpen Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) I too was also lucky to order the 41999 and while I was there also ordered the BTTF @ $54. Now do I open them when I get them or save them for a rainy day? Also has anyone been done for GST by customs for lego from lego.com? Edited August 1, 2013 by pigpen
Fatteh Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Dang. That was fast. Has anyone here who ordered the 41999 received one of the out of stock/order cancelled emails mentioned in the 41999 threads? I've only had the order confirmation email so far, but my order status on the site is "customer service". Hopefully that changes to "shipped" and not "cancelled". Edit: Just saw that my 41999 order status was changed to "backordered" on the Lego site. Bugger. Edited August 1, 2013 by Fatteh
Alternator Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I placed my order about 00:40 GTM time (so 12:40 lunchtime yesterday). I got the email confirming they had received my order shortly after. Since then all items have been listed as "In Process" with no further change or email. My guess is things are being managed manually to try and eliminate people trying to acquire many to on sell which with this particular set is highly predatory. I would be surprised if our orders which presumably went in very promptly wouldn't be met, Hopefully they aren't on backorder for a month either... There's probably some very busy dispatch people at Lego right now.
pigpen Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Let's just hope they have allocated X amount of sets to different regions in the world. given that NZ and Aussie make up only 3.0% of their total market. So the formula I would use if I was in their shoes would be % of market for area would be % allocated to that area. 3% of 20,000 = 600!
Fatteh Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Anyone received confirmation of delivery of their 41999 yet? My status is still "backordered", but I did receive the following update: Thank you for ordering from shop.LEGO.com. Unfortunately, the item(s) listed below are currently out of stock and it will be a little longer before we can ship them to you. If you made your payment via credit card, please note that while we will authorize your card shortly. It will not be charged until your item(s) ship(s). You will receive an email notification at that time. There is hope after all.

Still no movement on mine, I got the original confirm email and the order status and all items are listed as 'In Process'. This makes me think that it is probably quite low down the queue (i.e. it hasn't been looked at yet), hopefully I'm wrong on that count but it sounds like most orders have either been shipped or put onto backorder.
Bricktrain Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I think that in process is the packing stage, I expect they pack enough orders to fill a shipping crate then bulk ship to Nz where they are reshipped. It always takes roughly 4 days for my orders to go to shipped.

I'll be lucky if that is the case; tbh I never really payed close attention with past orders and just expected them to take about a month to get here. Edit: and good news it has changed status to shipped, looked like you called it :) Edited August 6, 2013 by Alternator
Bricktrain Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I received shipping notice for 41999 also, but not yet for 42008, 42009.
Fatteh Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Bah. Partial shipment, 41999 still on backorder for me. Oh well. That'll be the cheapest XL motor I'll ever get from Europe.
Alternator Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Good deals on the Warehouse red alert sale today! e.g. Kingdom Joust for $130 (sadly already sold out though, but there are some others that could also be of interest).
Nikkiwi Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Good deals on the Warehouse red alert sale today! e.g. Kingdom Joust for $130 (sadly already sold out though, but there are some others that could also be of interest). The last time the Warehouse had a big online lego sale, they advertised the Joust set, but you couldn't actually buy it from the website at the price they had it at. Given that the Warehouse has history with the Commerce commission for advertisting products at special discount prices, that are then unable to be purchased, I now take all the online "bargains" from the warehouse with a very large grain of salt.
Fatteh Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 The availability of 41999 on the NZ S@H page has changed to "available now" again.

Must admit that I've managed to order one last time around along with a Nerf gun only to find my order canceled a day later - due to out of stock for both items. Disappointing and didn't even try to order this time - it was out of stock anyway....
