Went to WH Lyall bay today, and Lego seems to have been missed out in the sales. Semi decent selection, with several Venators, Endors, Y-Wings, DV Tie.... etc, but all at full price.

Went to ToyWorld today.

Nothing new unfortunately but we should hope to see the Pirate Tank soon I should think because in that Lego booklet it says "New August"

I was actually talking about the 09 Lego Catalogue that we received from the Lego club subscription so it wasn't anything specific to Toy World.

I wonder if Kiwis are being made to wait for Home One and the Pirate Tank because we got all the other sets so much earlier than anyone else.

It makes sense that they don't release all the sets at the same time, otherwise some won't sell as well because there will be more choice. Also, spreading out the release dates means there will be less limited numbers of each set. :classic:

In the Toyworld brochure there's nothing new for Star Wars, but there is the Underground Mining Station as a TW exclusive for $140.

Just a quick update for those still interested in the Chrome Stormtroopers. The available date has now been pushed out to 27 August. Don't know why the date keep getting moved back. Production problem? Big demand from other markets?

The available date has been pushed back further now to September 2. :hmpf_bad:

I think that's a good price for the ARC-170 ... even at $120 buy now. I almost bought one on trademe a year ago for $120 but someone beat me to it so to find one now still for that price is pretty good. If only I didn't end up getting one on ebay!

Hey Evreyone

I saw the Lego Mindstorm NXT robot on the breakfast programes today

And this is from the site

Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0

Price: $499 - Available in September from Toyworld and Lego stockists.

Product website http://www.ben.geek.nz/review-lego-mindstorms-nxt-2-0/

Rating: 4 / 5

Mindstorms NXT 2.0 is the third iteration of Lego's robotics kitset, and the second version of their NXT range. They have pretty much perfected the kit this time around. The addition of a colour sensor and a range of coloured balls creates huge scope for building interactive robots. The provided software is fantastically easy to use, and the kit robots are great fun to play with. You don't need to know a line of code to make the robots behave, yet you'll find the process will teach budding developers all about loops and parameters, and also debugging and testing.

The box says "10 ", but a savvy six year-old will enjoy building the robots with help, and a 10 year-old should be able to code some basic behaviour. Of course most 35 year-old kids will also hugely enjoy the kit.

Still no sign of home one returning to www.thewarehouse.co.nz, so it looks like she is the only game in town - at RRP +$10 + postage

Think I'll wait a wee bit..... Have to wonder where she is getting these from, 'cos it is obviously not someone's pre-existing collection as I think we were talking about a few weeks back!

wow some news on the home one! :sweet: She has put it up at a pretty good price and Im really considering buying it early for christmas

I don't think there's anything that great about the Home One listing other than she is the only person selling Home One and it is available now. When it hits the shelves generally then you'll be able to pick it up for $200 anyway when Toyworld or Farmers do a 20% off toys. Kmart might go even better. Only thing is I thought I read somewhere that it might be a Warehouse exclusive.

Also I don't think there's a big rush because she seem to have multiple of everything she sells so I suspect if you miss this one then she'll have another you can pick up.
