KnightlyKnight Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 If I'm you KnightlyKnight I'll probably pick up Home One now while its available and selling for less than RRP. I suspect in the New Year you will struggle to find one for a good price. MMV is probably not as popular so you can afford to wait for a Toyworld sale. That's my $0.02 worth. I think your right, as that had just recently occurred to me. The other thought is saving up for a RBR... but I don't think they'll be in stores till next year given it's not in the latest catalog and TLG's history with exclusive sets, so I may be ok to hold out. Now I need a 20% off sale at the warehouse when I'm near one and the wife is in a good mood (as she is usually with me when I'm near any of the warehouses likely to have a home one). MMV is also not really in keeping with what I've been collecting but I love castle and it's soooo cool.

I sold my Home One's on trademe (kept the figures of course) But my Market village stays! If toyworld has 20% off I will be grabbing another MMV, just for the cows! (and the wenches....) (and the turkey) ... (and the rest)....

Callum Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 If i get a chance at one 20% off, I may have to get a MMV. It does look truely superb It is the best lego set I have ever purchased :) For 200$ it is a bargain, for 160$ its a no 'er It DOES have stickers though... but I actually applied my stickers - I liked it so much. (have never done that since the Yellow Castle days) Cal

KnightlyKnight Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 The market village is by far the superior of the two sets. I sold my Home One's on trademe (kept the figures of course) But my Market village stays! If toyworld has 20% off I will be grabbing another MMV, just for the cows! (and the wenches....) (and the turkey) ... (and the rest).... When I first saw the previews of the MMV i said "I have just seen the coolest Lego set ever" so I know how you feel. I just don't know where I'll put it as it doesn't really go with all the star wars sets I have. I also really want the A-wing and the mini-figures from Home One, and possibly the A-wing more then the minifigures. I have a "b", an "x" , and a "y" wing so it's a big void in my collection. What kind of price did you get for your sets? I'm been very tempted by another endor too, possibly without the minifigures (largly for the AT-ST and the speeder bikes), but it'd have to be less then $100 all up and so far they've been a bit more then that on TM but not really selling. If anyone has one....
Callum Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I have 2x Endor sets without figures, willing to trade for minifigures of most types :) I'm taking offers. Sold Homeone for 120$ without figures. No vouchers for toyworld! although that would be awesome. They are opening a new one here tomorrow so ill be popping down to the grand opening :)
Fumoffu Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Anyone getting Tantive IV from Shop@Home? Its available now. Funny that when I check earlier in the day its not available until October. Wonder if I can convince some family that its the ONLY xmas present to get for me. I wonder if any of the retailers will get it. Toyworld perhaps since they seem to have a better variety.
Ravi Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Hey Everyone Went to my local toyworld today. They had all the new sets and mmv for $180
AoNZ Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Hey EveryoneWent to my local toyworld today. They had all the new sets and mmv for $180 By new sets do you mean Space Police III included?
RileyC Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Ive been looking at the MMV and it looks pretty good. Its too bad I dont have they money cause $180 seems a pretty good price for it
Ravi Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 By new sets do you mean Space Police III included? Hi Yes I do and the nxt I really want to buy the mmv but I dpont have enough even after my 15% voucher. Just got to hope my home one sell
Callum Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 (edited) The Pirate advent calender just showed up on S@H. Very nyce! went up 10$ over last year tho - no huge surprise there. The warehouse is also stocking 3 in 1 starwars sets (rebel speeder, imperial dropship and Mr Vaders tie advanced) 119$ - so no cheaper than buying separate. Edited September 4, 2009 by Callum

RileyC Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hey GuysThis tm trader has some cheap starwars lego :oh3: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=622694 Those are some pretty cheap prices but a lot of the listings have 1 or 2 minifigs missing which is off putting but I am interested in that batman set they have. Id like a batman set I wouldve got a keyring but EB games (not affiliated with Eurobricks ) ripped me off with the batman video game. They said that they had batman keyrings but when I went to get the game they said they were out but they could order one for me but they didnt

Fumoffu Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 How annoying! I was going to get the HSD but it was $50 to ship Pardon my ignorance but what's a HSD? Lego's shipping prices are pretty steep but I guess that's what us Kiwi have to live with being on the other side of the world.
AoNZ Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I believe HSD is Homing Spider Droid. I'm annoyed that I missed out on the Republic Fighter Tank and AT-TE. Does anyone know of a reasonably cheap way to get them. A full AT-TE set on Trademe is $250!!

Well, i know that toyworld wellington still has one RFT, I think it's cause it has a damaged box, like crinkled edges, that's it though
